Ummm. As pro-vaccine as I am...your statement that its "not clear" if its someone's basic right to refuse a vaccine is troublesome. I understand how important immunizations are and I am up to date with all of mine, I know about all the science and how anti-vaccination movements have seen a rise in almost extinct diseases, HOWEVER, insinuating heavily that someone doesn't have a right to decide what is put in their body is very telling. YES, there are at risk populations who would benefit from everyone being vaccinated...but I AM part of that population and I STILL believe it is an individual's right to decide what they do with their body.

It's like they're saying, it is right to not let other people get sick, but it's not right to keep yourself from the possible side effects of the vaccine? So what happens when all people get vaccinated actually? The virus just disappears?
I understand when people get the vaccine and then say "oh it was fine I didn't have any side effects" but what scares me is that there could be side effects that don't appear until much later and we haven't had enough time to test that... I don't want to be a guinea pig

Well people also lie about their side affects as well, saying that nothing happened to them but in reality they were stuck at home for awhile just to feel accepted. the vaccine has become a political stunt, and labels people as anti vaccers, stupid, conspiracy theorists and trump supporter. while the vaccinated individuals are right, smart, responsible and caring people. people need to get their heads checked.

This is correct. Under the PREP act, courts will dismiss any lawsuits against these companies for adverse side effects. Even the parties who distribute the vaccine or administer the vaccine are not liable for anything bad that happens. Imagine that the person giving you your shot botches your injection. Whether that means your muscle gets messed up or you get an infection, even the company/person who gave you your shot is not liable.

No one gets my trust implicitly, they earn it through my experiences. How patronising is this!!! He talks about the 'slight risk' of adverse reactions - over 1000 people in the UK alone have DIED from the vaccines so far. 4,200 in the USA. Thousands have had serious reactions. Any other vaccines would have been withdrawn if they had a tenth of that kind of death rate, but not this one.
To suggest that 'adverse reactions' might include 'my cat was sick' is just plain insulting.
I know of three people who have had serious adverse reactions from the vaccines - one person now has permanent vertigo, one person had palpitations and had to have hospital treatment, and one person who had the Pfizer one lost all feeling in her arms and legs within 7 hours of having the injection, and is still paralysed from the neck down, two months later. She's just 20.

I just received the Moderna vaccine yesterday. No side effects except for a slight soreness at the injection site. I wish everybody can watch this video and hopefully everyone can get the vaccine when it’s available for them. We can get rid of this virus together.

It doesn't even qualify as a vaccine under the definition of the word, its more of a gene editing tool. Your own immune system is way better at handling it as long as you are reasonably healthy. Vitamin D from the sun and good food is all you need to stay well in general. We will look back in 50 years time and see how ridiculous this vaccine was, like we look back now at when they used to drill holes in peoples head and think it was a good idea.

My coworker told me his cousin in Pakistan got her shot but she still got covid and went to ICU. Why did this happen. I thought the shot was supposed to prevent this.

I got two doses of Moderna. I have asthma so I knew it would most likely effect me more than the average person. The first shot, I experienced arm soreness and I was really tired for two days. The second shot was worse. I basically felt like I was sick, I had some trouble breathing, It was rough. However, the benefits still outweigh the risks for me. I would get the shot again if I had to. To protect my family and other people who are high risk like me.

And some people are afraid to get the vaccine, with so many people arguing as to whether or not the vaccine is safe, it can be very overwhelming. Some doctors may tell their patients not to get the vaccine due to some underlying illness, or if they have had an allergic reaction to certain ingredients in the vaccine, or if they are pregnant. This is why we see the term "Herd Immunity" being thrown around. If the majority of the population get the vaccine, then the people who can't get it or don't want to, will be safe as well.
