A big plus with the scorpion is the price of the magazines. They're proprietary mags but you can find them everywhere for $15 or under all day, made by many manufacturers and even magpul. Compare that to Sig MPX mags which are over $60. Like you said, there are so many aftermarket accessory options for the scorpion.
I've had the scorpio pistol for a few years now and the upgrades I made were in concert with your suggestions. Safety, trigger spring and grip. I just finished changing the Sig Sauer brace to the SB folding brace and now it's finally the way I always wanted it. A very important thing is to install a finger block or whatever is called like you have up front because you can blow away a finger with ease. I was particularly glad to see the PSA mags and the problems you encounter with feed and difficult to remove. I almost pulled the trigger but I changed my mind and will try the Manticore or Magpul since the problem with the original CZ mags is that they crack at the top. Really enjoyed your video and your comments.
Love my scorpion.. it’s my little work horse, my home defense also. What’s your opinion on the AFG, I had mine set up like yours but then took it off because I read some stuff that the ATF could use it against you because it shows intent to use 2 hands even tho it’s a AFG and not a VFG.
One thing I noticed was that you use the charging handle after every reload. You do know there is a bolt release lever? Did your bolt not lock back after an empty magazine? It’s faster and simpler to use than the charging handle. Also, was your red dot co-witnessing with your iron sights? I find it less than optimal to have to look thru both sights at the same time. It just makes for a busy sight picture. Common newby mistake. I recommend a Scalarworks 36mm mount. It allows the use of both sights. Thanks for testing all the different mags. I need to get some more.
Great platform,,,, I changed the safety on the right to the AK Style.... Also changed the Grip (Apex Tactical), Trigger Spring Kit, Forward Trigger and Extended Charging handle all from HB Industries. Added a holosun red dot and some Magpul mags and called it a day
I love these Scorpion pistols but they definitely aren't sweethearts right out of the box lol! Necessary upgrades: Brace, safety delete, and pistol grip. Optional upgrades: Trigger, magazine release.
I just picked up an OD green scorpion a couple weeks ago and… I mean c’mon CZ, you can’t give us a nice case? Lol. I’d take a hard case over that cleaning kit! It’s a great shooter though!
This gun vs the AK-V? Your opinion? I've heard the AK-V can have issues feeding hollow points, and if I get either I plan to suppress it and use 147 grain HST's or Gold Dots. So feeding hollow points reliably is a major need.
@@ssjcesar I think you made the better choice. CMMG makes cool stuff, but the Scorpion has got better staying power. This thing has a ton of aftermarket support, has good aftermarket mags, and will probably be around for a long time.
@@oldannyboy37 Good decision. You can almost buy two Scorpion for the price of a Banshee. My scorpio has all the upgrades and still comes under the $1,500 for the price of the Banshee. I've had the Scorpio for several years now and it works flawless.
Same video but with a link to buy bit.ly/3UN9cHw
It's been a long time coming but I finally ordered one. Great reviews! 🔥

Looking forward to getting one of these. 👍🏽

Sweet gun. Looking to purchase one. What model is that Holosun optic and does it co-witness with the cz factory iron sights?
Holosun HS407A3: bit.ly/34ol4XX. Yeah it co-witness perfectly.
Would you take the cz evo 3s1 to battle ?

I like both but I enjoyed shooting the AKV more.
@@TheArmedScotsman thanks, was yours reliable with hollow point ammo if by chance you ran any through it?
Its like the safety was a huge after thought.
Where did you find that Mat for the Scorpion?
Ik I wish he would answer
Is it registered as a SBR with the brace
No if it's a brace its still pistol.
Torn between this or the Cmmg banshee.
Decisions, decisions :)
PrepperJunkie update got the scorpion

I want one but.... Got an AR 15 instead 😂😂
Boring 🙄
Why not both?
Why are you breathing so heavy
The minute I couldn't hear the gun shot at the range part of the video I lost interest
