Although it's not surprising that these ghutka's are sponsoring these awards. Most of the lead actors are endorsing it.

I know I’m not the only one who wants to see this, but can we possibly get the entire podcast filmed and uploaded to CZcams, watching the guests speak just feels so much more engaging, at least to me.
True, also on youtube we can speed it up for our capacity and free time, on Spotify u have to listen slow boring video less way with no option to at least speed up
@Akshar Tekchandani you can speed it up on Spotify too. Unlike CZcams you don't even need to change the settings for every video.

It was high time FC did a serious discussion on the abysmal gravitas less Indian awards shows.
The notion that RRR should be in the best Oscar movie category is just delusional.
Of course Oscar sometimes are not fair but by and large a good perimeter of good/great movies and of course RRR has its own merits but seriously!

Just pick out the scenes from AK vs AK and An Action Hero...Anil Kapoor had to dance even after a car crash...Jaideep Ahlawat said "Hum bolenge nacho toh nacho!".... Unfortunately, that's how the majority of India perceives actors and movies.

Great to see Rajeev masand and also sad at the same time that he doesn't reviews films anymore.. now I have no source of information about what's a genuinely good movie that has come up.. really used to wait for his reviews.. sadly there's no replacement for him..wish he reviewed in print or some other format.. used to like anupama's reviews but later got disoriented with her reviews .. was anyways mostly similar to rajeev's or her reviews felt fixated to 1 or 2 corny dialogues from the movie and felt superficial overall..
Cinema is an art form in the West but unfortunately Cinema in India is distilled down to entertainment. Expecting anything even remotely close to the value and consequences of those awards in India is simply a waste of energy.

It's not just India. Awards are losing their credibility everywhere. It's a fact. Look at viewership of Oscars over the past 3 years. People don't care about elites congratulating each other all the time. And the racism in these shows in the US in general has really turned off most people

My favourite review show was Masand ki Pasand. Rajeev Masand was the OG of reviewers back in the day before all these weird tik tok style 'reviewers' started pouring their opinions on CZcams. Absolutely loved when he roasted bad films!

There's not going to be a plan ever in India. Let's be honest here. The National Awards can change its process but that seems unlikely. But it does bother me, as an actor, do they not feel hollow or weird for winning an award that themselves know is worst or rather stupid? Or are they really that blinded by their own ego? I mean Rishi Kapoor said that he bought awards for himself only to realise at one point it was absolutely stupid.
May be ,cause in India we have stars and not actors. Sad

One should talk credibility of FFI that doesn't even know how the Oscar functions. This year not sending RRR is a sin. A sure shot final 5 nomination and most probably a win and also nominations in other categories lo. We missed because of that shitty panel.

when a country sends it as an official entry, it is presented it in only one category and for sure RRR was going to loose..
Paradise won oscars because it was shown in American theatres and ran for certain weeks. One needs to run a campaign for a film which needs money,which was best scenario for RRR. If it was not for that, they would never won best original score

Plus only 'The same Few...' names will get nominated even... for Best Actor Male/Best Actor Female awards. Unlike The Oscar's, where a debut actor gets 'fair & square' nominated with Legends in the Best Actor in a Leading Role Male/Female category.

A critic like them excepting RRR as best picture is seriously surprising. Didn’t they see Joyland, Argentina 1985, EO, Last Film Show, The Woman King, Black Panther if those didn’t make it how come they expect something like RRR to make it
Even if they did see all the above mentioned movies, why is it so difficult for you to grasp that liking or disliking movies is subjective.
I have not seen the other's that you mentioned, but I found RRR much better than the Woman King, and BP2.
