I think one of the key Clarifying questions would have been : 'Are we also seeing a lack of Engagement or dropping engagement times on the app?' There are high chances that an app is highly engaging but doesn't have enough 'Hooked' traits to bring back users the next day or week or month - highly common in Games!
This channel is so underrated ,
It felt just all over on the plate. For such a kind of question, I was looking for what would be the top metrics while she listed tail of metrics.

Hi Srishti.. Before I suggest a new structure, wanted to use you as a sound board. I had a similar feeling after listening to it. When talking of retention, would it not have made more sense to follow this structure -> Clarify retention -> Funnel is not important here(because all users are subscribed users) -> Segment users based on usage time(people spending more time are obviously deriving more value)-> Focus on the segment which has lesser usage -> Identify metrics in this segment such as completion rate, app usage times, tenure in the app(to identify whether lack of new forms is causing users to get bored). Does this structure make sense? feedback please
Abhidyuti - I like the structure and creating sub cohorts on highly engaged users and less engaged users.
The less engaged users are the ones who are most likely to churn.
Segregating users with least engagement and ensuring they're completing the core actions/steps of the product. Probably they never noticed/missed the core actions which helped them derive this value.
Is the metric how to measure the engagement of users or retention of users. Everyday new users can come up and drop off, watch content etc but how do we measure that these are same users not different ones over a period of 2 months?
I have watched your 4-5 videos of mock interviews, all look similar, common process, all candidates are using the same script and steps even. shouldn't we try something different? Is this the only process or way or steps companies expect from every candidate?

Hi Pm school please use 'user retention' in Title of video
Thoughts were all over the plate , vague structure, she did mention some of the good points regarding recommendations and journey, one of the key metrics should be prospective users that have spent time and unique participants, session times, churn rate compared to the historical churn rate.
Expected more from a Google PM also her interview energy throughout this interview is terrible.
