I'm getting into old school for a few months now. This is super usefull, would be great to have more video's like this 🙂.
We’ve done some budget tournaments as well. You can check out sites.google.com/view/masters2/home for deck photos and vids of our latest re-print tournament.
You can also use proxies in a lot of communities, nothing wrong with that.
Actually love where your head was at on the UW... meekstone and serra angel! hellll yes! Meekstone and ghost ship, which I love more than air ele! Yes please!
nice man!
🤟
In game two, he killed himself by stripping your plains. His stones would have produced white!
I love seeing budget brews!
🙌
Me too !
If one wants to start old school these budget decks are awesome!!
For those of you that think old school is mega expensive, you don’t need power to play..I’ve seen a lot of decks without power crush powered decks.
Or you can get a high end photography printer and make legit proxies and use those. A lot of communities allow proxies in the USA.
Agreed, re-prints can get you a long way. I've seen a lot of decks do really well, for example Mono Green has won tournaments in OS 🔥
@@TimmytheSorcerer yes! A mono green deck without any power and combat tricks do well. Winter orbs, slugs, crumbles, timber wolves etc
Love the channel!
Yes!! Love me some old school budget! Takes me right back to junior high. Are there any rules to this format, like no cards above $20 or something? I wouldn’t mind building one. And oooof that regrowth on the strip is always a kick in the groin.
We’ve done a Lord of the Jank tournament in the past with a budget of 200, sites.google.com/view/lordofthejank/menu
For this match we just decided to play without dual lands and with lots of re-prints. There are still some expensive cards in here, like city of brass and sylvan.
I really like the budget decks, I cannot ever convince my girl to let me buy one card for $100+, snap even $60+ lol these are great though.
A hobby is important ;)) 🙌
In the general Old School community, how strict are people with versions used? As long as they’re the old frame and non foil is ok? Ok with foreign language (Italian Legends)?
Yeah thats generally how it is.
When you play online, that’s pretty much how it is. If you play a tournament it’s always good to check the rules as TOs can have different ideas.
Do not speak of foil in old school. Its blasphemy and will lead you to a tivadars crusade fate lol
Hell yeah im loving these budget decks. Get tired of seeing too many powered up decks. Especially if the match up is uneven.
Btw is that a reaper scrye at the top? I just was browsing my inquest magazine around mirage release and immediately ran to eBay to find one. Got it this week! The wizard casting a spell variant
Sure is, reaper counters are beautiful 🤩
