    I wonder when will Blender implement the variable edge crease feature, like in Alias sub-D where you can slowly reduce the crease value from one end of an edge to the other end. It will make the work flow much simpler.

      In reality the closest thing to a crease is a knife edge so putting one on a car will make it look unrealistic. You can adjust the bevel weight of an edge in Blender but its not very successful at washing out a crease. The alternative method is to adjust vertices until it looks right.
