It's a shame, that NATO provoked Russia into invading Ukraine over the last 10 years. There could have been peace in March with Ukraine remaining intact but adhering to the Minsk II agreement, which France & Germany, key members of NATO, previously guaranteed, but ignored, rather than enforcing it, but British Prime Minister and puppet of the United States, Boris Johnson, talked UkrainIan leader, Zelensky, out of the peace agreement. Now it looks like Ukraine wil be absorbed into Russia, like it was prior to 1954.
It's possible, that Russia will only take the useful parts of Ukraine and leave the rest to the UkrainIan Nazis & Poland.
Russia has great weapons productivity and has long had a policy of producing their own high tech silicon chips for their weapon's electronics.
This video seems to be pure NATO propaganda. The sanctions against Russia have only transfered World dominance from the US & the EU to Russia, China, India, Brazil, the Global South. & others (BRICS).
The US has been hollowed out over the the last 20 years and won't be able to help the UK & the EU, if they wanted to, which the US government has no intention of doing. The US military is too "woke" to be of any use either.
On the bright side, Ukraine is much better off under Russia, than under the Western carpetbaggers, who had been exploiting it, ever since the fall of the USSR.
Over half the countries of the World are tired of being bullied by the US, the UK, and the EU and are solidly on Russia's side. The West controls the World news media narrative, but it bares little or no resemblance to reality.

However, our current president left all of Afghanistan, including lots of people who helped us there over 20 years, to die just to claim a "moral victory" by ending our presence there (aside from all the valuable equipment we left for the Taliban) in his 1st year in office. The Brits were so furious at their forces being abandoned to their fate as well they declared that the USA can't be trusted anymore in international conflicts. @@Jearl_Black If you sift through the propaganda, neither Ukraine or Russia is operating like that. If they were we'd likely see 1m+ casualties in the war by now. Neutral analysts are proposing that casualties on both sides are relatively low given the highly kinetic organized warfare we've seen in Ukraine. Take that recent Ukrainian counter offensive for an example, Russia largely gave up the ground without much serious resistance. They retreated to more defensible positions and when Ukraine could no longer push, both sides have returned to drone and artillery warfare. Russia isnt willing to risk it's airforce as much anymore either, so you're not seeing a lot of sortie operations anymore in favor of Drone and ballistic missile strikes. Ukrainian and Russian civilian deaths are also the lowest we've seen in any modern civil or international war.
Google is obviously biased towards Ukraine in this conflict and so they have a reason to make Russia look as bad as possible and they put Ukrainian Civilian casualties at 6,100 killed, and around 9,100 injured. Pro Russia sources say around 1,600 civilians killed and around 3000 civilians injured. Just compare that with the recent civil war in Syria where hundreds of thousands were killed, or injured in the first year of fighting.
Neither Ukraine or Russia is fighting this war with the mindset of "Our men are expendable". These are modern militaries that know what they're doing. It's a chess match, not a checkers game.

If China invades Taiwan there will be war. The US doesn't have an actual treaty with Taiwan because international law still regards it as a pseudo-country rather than a fully independent nation state and, more importantly, China would throw a fit, but instead there's a law saying the US must protect Taiwan's independence.

Hi Diane, I got the first "like"again! When I was a kid there was a very real threat in fear of a war with Russia (at least to the grown ups). Once a week we would have a nuclear attack drill at school. We went into the hall knelt down face to the wall, crouched forward and covered our heads with our hands. Being that we were 2 mi from a strategic Air command base and a major defense contractor, we would have been vaporized in a nanosecond. There were designated fallout shelters throughout the city and everyone was supposed to know where they were. Ours was in the basement of the Amon Carter museum of Western art. There were no concerns with strategy, it was just going to be a nuclear slugfest. Luckily Ireland is probably not a priority Target for a nuclear attack nor is Spain, thank God. However, you never know so you and Chewie practice your duck and cover drills just in case! Tell Chewie hi, I love you Diane and goodbye for now.

Randal Mayeux: Ireland won't be a target, but, based on prevailing winds, could catch lots of fallout from England. Spain would be a direct target because of Rota Spain having a US Military base. Once again, depending on the winds, it could wipe out Mallorca with fall out.

In the 1980s a movie called Red Dawn was made, it was about America being invaded by the Soviet Union. The movie was rebooted recently and this time it was North Korea. Either movie is a pretty realistic portrayal of what would happen. There are some famous quotes made by the tyrants in World War 2 which explain why.
Japanese admiral Yamamoto (hopefully I spelled that correctly) made the statement that "You can not invade America. There is a gun behind every blade of grass."
Adolf Hitler made the statement "To conquer a nation, you must first disarm the citizens."
I don't know who this quote belongs to, or even which war it's from, but "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."
America has the largest and most resourceful standing army in the world between the hunters, armed criminals, and law abiding citizens. We have militias who are trained in guerilla warfare. If you ever want to know how to make something work with caveman technology, just ask a cajun in the swamps, a hillbilly in the sticks, a moonshiner in the mountains, or an eskimo in the Alaskan tundra.
America is an extremely large nation with many types of terrain to make it very difficult to trek. Our cajuns in the swamps have boats and marsh buggies that would blow your mind because swamps are too shallow for conventional boats and too deep for conventional jeeps, trucks, or tanks. The mountains pose different challenges, as well as the desert and plains.
To add to those logistical difficulties we are armed to the teeth and the hunters will lose you in the woods, attacking you from the trees, or beneath the brush. The inner city criminals are very experienced in urban warfare, and the people in the desert have machinery you would see in a Mad Max movie, both deadly and toughened against abrasion from sand and dust. The people in the mountains are experienced in extreme terrain and have the high ground, able to snipe from miles away.
I'm not saying it's impossible to invade America, but we would give an invading army bloody hell and we have lots of people who know how to survive without all that luxurious technology. With all that said, I don't fear invasion, I fear nuclear or biological warfare.

We have been planning for this since the 1960s (probably even earlier). We have run the scenarios thousands of times. My last job in defense (15 years later) was working for the company that built the M1A1 Abrams tank. Putin has shown us he has nothing but B.S. to back him up. We have all kinds of battle tested intel and weapons systems that will show Putin he has lost any advantage that his behavior may have given him. He will rapidly run out of options if he engages us. OK, I'm just a few minutes in to the video and I see a problem. The US first strike would be a little more than firing missiles. Since the first Gulf War, the US doctrine would involve a lot of cruise missile, but it would also include Growlers and Prowlers with HARM missiles. So, as Russia turned on it's radar to track and shoot down US missiles, the radars would be jammed and destroyed. This would blind Russia to the B2's and F35's following behind. Knowing this, Russia would not turn on it's newer S400's radar. There by allowing the first strike of missiles to pass in hopes of "catching a bigger fish." And it will go from there back and forth...

Arguments over the justification of our military size and expenditure aside, not trying to go down that rabbit hole, we do have a well equipped and high tech military. Yes, the average soldier can certainly tell stories of some shotty gear, lousy transport trucks that always break down, or held together with duck tape. But as a whole and compared to most other militaries, very well equipped. Now this does lead to the "If you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail" problem. Our politicians, as well as the UN basically using, errr, "calling upon" us to be "peacekeepers" and such, can get us in alot more conflicts that many of us like. But to their credit, there are countries with far smaller, and less well equipped, militaries that get into more conflicts than us. It's amazing, given the size and quality of that hammer, that our government doesn't start more fights and even maybe conquering. Instead of going in, and trying to set up a puppe...friendlier government, and giving it back. Though I think we'd do better, by staying out of so many. We've been in a war of some sort almost constantly since we started, and that isn't even including "conflicts", which definitely weren't just smaller wars that aren't officially declared ::wink wink::.

Besides nuclear escalation, I think the biggest concern would be other nations taking the opportunity to settle scores or join the conflict while the US, UN, and NATO are distracted. China could go after Taiwan, North Korean could provoke South Korea, old hostilities in the Middle East and places like India/Pakistan could also flare up. Which could also escalate to nuclear exchanges. Assuming it doesn't lead to nuclear escalation in any conflict, I think the US and allies would win in the end but it would wreck global economy and have huge lasting effects on everything.

I think the one thing people underestimate about America's ability to 'rebuild' after combat losses and such.... Yes, we do depend on other countries for a lot of materials, but as for 'producing' things... Remember, in WWII, we were making cars, not tanks. We were making boats, not bombers. America today looks like something out of Mad Max with the destruction our own politics are causing, but give us a singular target to focus on 'together', and we become a completely different beast.
Just as with WWII.... IF, another large-scale conflict would happen, vehicle productions of Trucks and SUV's would quickly shift over to Tanks and such, Shipyards would come online with mass-buildup and such...
NOT saying this would happen overnight, or that it would happen 'exactly' as it did back in WWII... but it WOULD happen in a similar way.

Hey Diane... I'd like to point out some major flaws in this video based on Frontline reports and a lack of strategies the US can deploy.
The US is likely to repel all Russian aircraft as their first action. The S400 systems haven't proved effective against any HIMARS currently deployed. So we could launch more powerful long range cruise missiles from aircraft carriers or cargo planes to take out and overwhelm air defense, while the F-35 & F-22 & B-2 units come in behind to strike munitions, air bases, fuel depots, rails, bridges, and major roads. Accomplishing this without entering Russian airspace by using AWACS radar to extend weapon range and keep pilots safe!
Simultaneously US F15 and F16 squadrons would attack all Russian air and ground assets. The Navy would deploy the newest stealth fighter drone the F-21 Raider to loiter on air routes used in retaliating Russia jets when the first wave is on a refueling/ rearming trip.
Upon the arrival all previously supplied Ukraine assets would be confiscated for US troop use. Marines and Airborne would be at the tip of the spear behind the immediate Frontline, to eliminate a retreat. All the HIMARS would be moved forward to secure position and US SAAM sights established.
Nighttime special operations would be deployed to start clearing high risk areas like infrastructure, then reinforced immediately. 🦭 6.
Infantry and ground support would pound all Russian positions with accurate fire from a greater distance than what the Russians can reach. Also using Predator drones with hellfire missiles.
In the meantime we've forgotten Cyber Warfare and the activation of the multi generational computer virus StuxNet, which can physically cripple Russian infrastructure and render their financial markets useless.
Details about Russian tanks and jets, they have significant design flaws. T-90 advanced tanks are lacking reactive armor and can be destroyed easily from a single shoulder fired Javeline missile. Even the SU jets and helicopters have been shotdown with 80's era stinger missiles from ground soldiers. This is why China would not risk an invasion into Taiwan or a strike on the US. They are vulnerable by using the same weapon systems. Anything high tech they do have are in extremely limited numbers.
The scary thing is the US could have Ukraine secured in less than a week. But without an official declaration of Russian defeat, then Russia would be forced to deploy tactical and strategic nukes. The US would likely attempt a pre-emptive strike utilizing CHAMP EMP missiles and high altitude EMPs in an attempt to neutralize the threat and take out all guidance systems. And if it were to fail, we'd have a nuclear winter across all Europe and in the US.
The US and world economies would collapse, US foreign aid cutoff, and nations would have to defend for themselves when they should have been contributing to NATO and building their defenses. All enemies to the US would begin aligning and potentially striking out. Like Iran vs Israel. China vs everyone.
So even though the US can literally overwhelm and eliminate every enemy it deems a threat, it can come at a catastrophic cost to humanity. Please remember in the years to come that the US hates war but we're not afraid of it and will not worry about winning hearts and minds any longer...
May God bring peace to us all.
