McSorleys is the oldest continued operating pub in NYC. It only serves their own beer, light and dark, two glasses for $5. It also serves a menu that you wouldve seen in a pub back in the late 19th Century. It probably predates when Guinness was imported into the states. The bar keeps its look from how most bars looked in the 19th Century in NY. Hence the sawdust. Theyve been adding things to walls since the 19th Century. Nothing has been taken off the walls since the Taft Administration (1910s). Its an heritage spot for Irish Americans in NY. Diana rating the tourist bar in Times Square as the best was great craic though.

Culvers is my go to burger place in the Midwest. Butter burger and a dish of plain vanilla custard. I love the texture of the frozen custard, adding anything to it subtracts for me.

We drink coffee a lot because its common for many people to rely on it to wake up. Youre the weird ones for always wanting room temperature drinks, not us. I've tried it both ways but room temp drinks suck. I will take peanut butter over chocolate any day, but thata just taste buds. I agree mayo and ranch are overused, but they are not the only dips we have. I am also willing to bet that we probably have more dips than you (we are a big hodge podge of worldwdie cooking after all) in an every day setting. I understand your distaste for sloppy joes, but keep in mind every joe made is different (some I love, some I hate). Biscuits and gravy are fire, also keep in mind each one is usually different just like sloppy joes. Biscuits have always been called differently between the two places, but biscuits are NOT scones (although they are similar). What you call biscuits, we call cookies. Gravy on the other hand IS gravy. That fact that you are always limited to the same gravy is touching, but we actually value having a wide variety of gravy. This gravy is made from sausage, hence the name sausage or country gravy. It is made no differently from any other gravy really. I agree we deep fry too many things. Sweet and savory is good, and while I agree the casserole is a no (and hardly anyone makes it anyways thank you very much), but the pie is an absolute wild take considering similar desserts exist over there. Putting food in a can prolongs its lifespan. Finally, I agree the doughnut burger is unhealthy as heck, but don't knock it until you try it (I haven't tried it, so I wont knock it). Also, many items you've shown you are highly unlikely to encounter (such as the doughnut burger, casserole, and cake in a can which I didn't even know existed that's how rare it is to see).

Eat before it gets cold! Culvers is pretty good. Much better than most chain burger places. I think it's one of the reasons Wisconsin is one of the more overweight states. I hope they are better than the Culver’s in SC. Butter burger came with a 1/8 (maybe) thick patty. Probably 4-5 ounces of veggies. This is a half ass salad on a bun. Burger size is beyond pathetic 😂

I strongly suggest experiencing a Wisconsin fish fry and fish boil. Your best bet for a boil is the Door county area. CHEERS
