Living in Germany, I watched the speech live on TV and I must say: Thanks for reminding us. Thanks for everything the United States of America did for us. I couldn't be here without you! Lots of Germans love to complain about their lives, but forget, where we would be without you. I'm deeply grateful for everything! For the future I'd like to see a even more deep and faithful relationship! Thanks America!

    I'm from Germany.
    WE LOVE BARACK OBAMA!
He gives us hope. Another period of a Bush-like president McCain would cause massive depression in Europe and around the world. So please, American people, vote for Barack Obama as President of the United States! Only then the world will love your country as we used to.

I watched this live on the news today, and for the first time in my life I realized I was watching something that would go down in history. Future generations will come to talk of Barack and his ideals no matter the outcome of this race.
But I still have hope, even from my home in Canada, I have faith in you Americans. Choose the right candidate. Vote Obama'08!

This speech was beautiful. I practically cried. America would just be silly to not elect this man... say what you want about him. I think he's as honest as one can be in politics and that he's going to promise much of what he said he'll deliver. No one can be fully prepped and ready to be the President of the United States America... It takes some courage, innovation, and spirit... Obama really seems to have it.

  • @CHEETAH69

Politicians can & do lie.We all know that. But what you see here is something different. Obama,at the time of this vid, was just a senator running for Pres. Yet thousands in GERMANY showed up to hear him speak. You don't get that kinda support unless on some level you've been able to touch and affect alot of people on many levels. There's not been a politicians who's been able to do that in awhile. No the man isn't Messiah. But he certainly is inspirational. And that's amazing in and of itself.

"People of Berlin - and people of the world - the scale of our challenge is great. The road ahead will be long. But I come before you to say that we are heirs to a struggle for freedom. We are a people of improbable hope. Let us build on our common history, and seize our common destiny, and once again engage in that noble struggle to bring justice and peace to our world"

It should go without saying that a potential president should be intelligent, decisive, diplomatic, and well-spoken. Obama has all of these attributes. I've watched him on this tour he is doing, and I'm still taken aback by his ease and grace in any situation. He is truly remarkable, and will lift up this nation. When I see him and hear him speak, I feel my cynicism slipping away. We need him in this world. If we don't make him our next president, we will have nobody but ourselves to blame.
