Yep, the poofs are back. Just look at a bunch of the 2023 Spring bridal collections and just about every designer has at least one and sometimes more with poof sleeves.

I've been told my entire life that adding the word "wedding" to anything makes it cost a premium. So when I bought my wedding dress it was technically a white Quinceanera dress. It was STUNNING; about a year after my wedding, Pippa Middleton wore what was basically a similar (but bajillion dollars more expensive) version of what I had. Obviously she has no idea I exist! Lol. But my point is that is was very classy-looking, and mine was like $79.
This is soooo true! We had an outdoor part to our wedding so I wanted to buy a stash of big umbrellas for everyone to use if it rained. £2-5 each normally but £10-15 if I looked for wedding umbrellas!

I bought a wedding dress from David's Bridal for $99 - might have been a bridesmaid dress but I was so obsessed with wanting a pale blue dress that I so don't care. After all the years of watching Say Yes to the Dress, I was honestly stunned when I saw the dress online, made the appointment at the store...and then it was what I imagined. So I had to make it a real appointment with more typical dresses but that moment came with the blue dress.

When my husband and I got married we went to this beautiful chapel and it was just the two of us because my family didn’t approve of my husband being black and so they refused to help pay for anything and back then we didn’t have much so I never got a wedding dress. However, I did wear a nice black dress I already owned! It was an amazing day! 💖💖💖💖

As someone who actually bought their wedding dress on Amazon for around $100, and completely loved it ( I actually thought the first dress was mine at first because it's very similar, but mine was a little different). I totally got such a kick out of this video. It's definitely possible to find a good cheap wedding dress online, you just need to do some research on it first. Reading reviews definitely helped me a lot.

When we Indians get married, 90% of the time the lehengas that the brides wear are a beautiful red colour and they are STUNNING so you're completely right about the deep red gowns and honestly i think more people should start wearing them.🥰
Edit: I'm only talking about where I'm from and the weddings I've been to and not the whole of India. India is a beautiful diverse country with so many cultures and all of them are equally beautiful:)

I’m Buddhist, and had really hoped to marry in either a red or blue (my husband is also Buddhist, but a different tradition, and their robes are blue). I ended up in black, which was lovely, too - anything but white!
Bought my champagne colored wedding dress from Anthropology for 80 dollars almost a decade ago. It was just hanging between the summer dresses section and had this cute cotton lace vibe. I really cannot take rough fabrics, so a lot of the cheaper wedding dresses were not for me. This dress also had something intricate in the back. It looked so classy 1930s and playful at the same time.

"I didn't think of silky wedding dresses" My mum actually got married in a wedding dress made out of raw silk, my grandpa, her father-in-law, actually made it for her. She recently showed it to me, he did such a good job - I wish I could wear it too but the fabric shows every nook and cranny and crumbles as soon as you look at it :D she looked bomb in it though, she's 5'11 and was serving draped 80s greek goddess :)
Honestly, that first dress is very pretty and, since it's way cheaper than a designer gown, you could still afford to embelish it to make it your own style or something. I liked it.
Lulus is definitely trustworthy! I ordered six of their wedding dresses, paid lots of import costs since they had to be shipped to Europe, and I kept two of their luxury wedding dresses and I’m obsessed! 😍🥰

I literally got my wedding dress off Amazon for $50!!!! It looked pretty good- did the fitted satin look 60s style dress. I was shocked. It was a courthouse wedding so it was simple and perfect!

Got my wedding dress from Torrid - I think the list price was like $198 but we got it on sale for 60% off of that. Still a year out on the wedding, but I can’t tell you what a relief it was to find a dress I truly loved, that fit my personality, for such a good price. Felt like a good omen for the rest of my wedding planning!

Lulu's was a go to for my teen's prom/formal dresses. She loved them, and they were so affordable. They were just like the pictures. She ordered a slightly more expensive dress from a different site for senior prom, and was lucky to get exactly what was in the photo, despite direct shipping from china (which she didn't realize until after she bought it).

Lulu's is actually incredible! My bridesmaids both got their dresses on Lulu's and they were the same quality as a bridal store, they were both under $60 which was awesome!

I’m kinda confused why she decided to buy from fashion nova and not shein. Like she said fashion move was very cheap and she hadn’t seen prices that low yet but she literally just showed dresses that were the same price on shein. And the dresses on shein looked like actual wedding dresses worth hundreds of dollars and not a halloween costume or just a casual white dress like all the fashion nova ones.
Lulus often had great review pictures too! The availability can be very hit or miss but it’s worth it if you can find something!
I love Lulus! The quality is really great on the non wedding purchases I've made. Definitely worth the price. I feel like I'm wearing something way more expensive than I was. Their shoes and backless bras are a thumbs up as well.

I wish there was such a thing as on line shopping when I was getting married. Haha. Honestly if I could go back and do it again I’d literally have the cheapest wedding ever. I’d but a cheap but pretty dress online or resale, use fake flowers as there are some very pretty fake flowers out there, and do a backyard reception pot luck style (which I recently heard of and it’s such a great idea actually).

I spent $500 for my total wedding and reception. There was lots of wheeling and dealing and we got some amazing deals but we did it. We only had about 50 people at my wedding, so it was small but we had a full wedding ceremony and reception for $10 per guest. I was so SO SO stressed out but it came together amazingly. It turned out so good that when my best friend got married on a budget a few years later she asked me to take charge of the planning. Excluding her dress, which was bought by her dad, her total wedding and reception cost around $350.

My wedding dress was £16 from Shein. I originally got it for my hen do but it was stunning, matched my shoes perfectly, and the £350 dress I had no longer fits.
My bridesmaids dresses were £10 each.
