    Great video. I have a similar car and it’s such a great all rounder. Looks like a Boxster from the front, extremely practical space-wise and range-wise, technologically advanced and very fast. I’m loving the huge savings on current expensive petrol too.

    Hope all is well Can't believe 4 years have gone by so fast I still have my Audi 2018 RS3 definitely upgrading to the 2022 this summer. I remember when you ordered your RS3 and did the Happy dance . I'm still doing that dance every time I drive my car. The handling and the reviews on the 2022 RS3 are great they say its a much better car and it looks amazing.

    What HP is the LR? I see conflicting stats. From 367hp to 440hp. I’m looking at a used one. 👍🏻

    • @WiZe1972
      @WiZe1972  Před 2 lety +1

      I think it now should have around 460... My car papers says 366kw which is 499HP but that is when you buy the acceleration boost that brings the 0-100 from 4.4 to 3.9sec

    I saw that the "Performance Boost" purchase can be refunded if requested in something like 24 hours! So I guess you could temporarily purchase it to see if the boost is worth it (and get a cool video from it) and then choose to keep it or ask for the refund.

    8:03 for what the M3 LR cost, I think the figures are not just stellar but a true testament to what EV tech can deliver. If I'm not mistaken, the next cheapest ICE car with similar figures is the 718 Cayman GTS and that one still only does 0-100Km/h in 4,5s at 85.000€, which is also the projected price for the 2022 Model S which even does 0-100km/h in 3,2s! Shit is getting wild in the coming next 10 years with more non-legacy car markers entering the market.
    Btw do you plan to upgrade to a Model S at some point in the future?

    • @WiZe1972
      @WiZe1972  Před 2 lety +1

      That is totally true! We’re getting so used to these figure coming from EV that we forget how good they are compared to equivalent ICE cars… I did order a Model S long range but ended up cancelling it and buy this LR instead, don’t know what’s next as I plan to keep the 3 for a while 😌

      @@WiZe1972 I just recently ordered my LR and let's see how it goes, next year Mercedes will announce the sedan version of the EQC which will be based on a pure electric platform, so I could see myself switching to that... or not and jump to the Model S. Anway, since you have got constant sub 4,4 values it is not unlikely that you have got what is called a "stealth" M3 Performance, so consider yourself lucky ;)

    • @antonivanov6232
      @antonivanov6232 Před 2 lety +1

      You cannot compare the Model 3 to a cayman. The car experience isn't just acceleration and there are many reasons why the cayman costs more than the M3. The drivetrain in that car isn't more expensive than the electric motor + battery in M3.
      The real reason there aren't many fast ICE regular (this is important) cars on the road is that people don't maintain them properly. They just want a car that "doesn't break" whatever that means.
      As much as electric cars offer cost-effective acceleration, they lack in other parts of the driving experience due to their nature - breaks and handling mostly but also heat management and range in spirited driving.
      So I say we enjoy everything that is good about our cars whatever they may be and hope that someday someone will combine the positives of all types of cars into one cheap, fast, fun, and environmentally friendly car :).

      @@gundalfx Oh I can imagine the taycan is a big step in the right direction but I don't have the money or friends with that kind of money so I can try it :D
      But I am also sure that managing the weight of that car isn't as fun as driving any other porsche. But someone will figure out how to deal with that sooner or later as they will figure out the range and charging issues.
