    Other teams have spent more on players than Leeds have, the starting 11 are mostly players we had on the books last season, but are a completely a different team now. We didn't appoint Bielsa for his personality, his philosophy is spot on. The beautiful game has a new home and I for one is a very happy man. It is early doors but it is hard not to get excited and talk about automatic promotion, as long as they play this way it is not an impossible

    I’ve been waiting for this level of professionalism since Don Revie left in 1974 ....it’s taken years of my life . I watched the Stoke match in Majorca ..... made my holiday special ... I’m sure Billy and Paul Madeley are watching over us and giving us a helping hand . Being a Leeds fan is something special ... this Manager is special and let’s hope our relationship is a winner . We can do this .

    I am bilingual and this guy translates very poorly the rich explanations of Marcelo. It's a shame that Marcelo does not speak English. Marcelo Bilesa has such a spectacular way of explaining football and tactics, in spanish of course. And for me, Marcelo is one of the best things that happened to the world football, for his way of understanding football and trying to translate it into field. Here in Argentina leeds has a new fan! regards.-

    • @devak18
      @devak18 Před 5 lety +5

      Susana, I'm also billingual and I think he does a fantastic job, he understands what Bielsa says and translates it in a simple way. I think that translating in a simple way is good here, as it gets the bielsa method straightforwardly, and the players do not have to have a profound cognitive understanding, which is hard work, but just have to simple do it.

    • @susanamanso6905
      @susanamanso6905 Před 5 lety +3

      I respect your words seriously, but I do not share, because between the conjugation of the words of Marcelo there is a double rhetoric, or even more sometimes the answers to the questions of the journalists are in that same conjugation of words. I think the truduction is poor, that makes that message get lost. On the other hand I noticed differences in the positions of the players in an analysis that he did, which the translator said badly. The translator that he had at the conference of his presentation in Leeds seemed excellent to me, I do not know what happened to him. Greetings my friend

      @CB-xr1eg Před 5 lety

      Susana, if you are that good then you go and apply for the job as translator. If not then just shut up!"
      And it's Bielsa not Bilesa. Looks like you can translate but you can't get his name right..?

      Welcome to Leeds Susana ,if you look at our history we have owners and managers come and go .we are all desperately hoping that this time we have it right. There is no better supporters in English football then the Leeds faithful and if mr Bilesa bring success back to our beloved Leeds he will all ways have a special place in our heart. Not long now before the flag of Argentina is flying at Elland road.MOT

    I'm a Leeds fan. There have been many false dawns recently. This is different. I had never heard of Bielsa before the start of the season, I really like this manager. Obviously a student of the game and passionate about it. I like his depth. When Guardiola, Pochettino and Simione all hold him in such esteem we must take notice. Two games in and there will be big challenges ahead, but I am intrigued as to how the season will go and, ....ok......I'm going to say it..........I'm optimistic.

    It is quite astounding the transformation. It is pass and move football with players interchanging position. It's brilliant football for vhampionship level. Six weeks to transform leeds from mid table mediocrity to a passable version of 1970's Ajax! And he doesn't speak a word of English!

    I remember when Chile went to Brazil, in the 2010 qualifiers. It was a tough game, started with the usual pressure from Chile on the Brazilian back, which somehow managed to pass. And they took the lead 2-0, but Alexis was inspired that night and we reach the draw 2-2, and we had them under the goal, trying to avoid defeat. Throwing the ball out all the time. The team keep pushing and keep pushing and the goal never come. Suddenly a fulminating backlash and they make us the third goal, the players were frustrated, for not making a couple of goals and one player was sent off. The match was finished 4-2 for Brazil. But I don't forget the 20 minutes that the Scrach, had the fear like they was the team Nº 200 of the FIFA ranking.
    That's why i love Bielsa and i never gonna forget that match and how proud i was for the team.
    I'm sorry, for my bad English, but I had to write these lines...Good Luck to the future, Leeds Fans.

    Early days yet but so far two excellent results. I’m sure the fans are firmly behind the players and the head coach. I’m just as fascinated
    with the translator as well as Bielsa. Apparently he’s a very smart and educated guy. I’m wondering how communication is conducted Between Bielsa
    And the players. It must be a challenge at times but I bet he’s a great teacher and a master of tactics

    There are some mistakes in meaning. Number seven means right forward, number nine means centre forward, etc. In Argentina they identify the numbers with certain positions.

    • @CB-xr1eg

      Klich is number 43, so what does that mean? Maybe it's how many goals he will get this season.

    • @titereconcabeza
      @titereconcabeza Před 5 lety +1

      Nowadays numbers don´t mean a thing. But in context, taking into account that the translator isn´t argentinian, he couldn´t explain it correctly because in Argentina they refer to the players position in the field using the numbres adopted in the midlle of the 20th century. Then they were used freely
      Bye. greetings!

    • @Sebastian_Najmanovich
      @Sebastian_Najmanovich Před 5 lety

      Clive Bindley In Argentina they're used to identify the number with the position played. When he said the number nine, the number seven, etc he was meaning the centre forward position and the right forward/winger position respectively, not the actual shirt number. So for example you may be using the 33 shirt and Bielsa would've said you were playing as a 7 (meaning right winger)
