I'm a sheff wed fan when I heard about this I was absolutely devastated for leeds and I was scared it could've happen to any of our supporters or any other supporters because it was just bad that night I hope it never happens again

I went to Istanbul for the champions league final was in Taksim square on the Friday night had an a great time down there then got a taxi with our kid and my cousin and his uncle then I looked out the window there was a shop with its shuttters down cause it was late at night and on the shutter was Leeds united was here that sent shivers down my spine everyone in the taxi saw it on the Saturday i got up had breakfast just sat there and thought about those 2 Leeds fans who never came home it was emotional for me and my brother also we lost our younger brother to a car crash on his way back from Liverpool he should of been there with us I just had the feeling it was our day even at the fan zone spoke to a sound lad that was from Leeds

AkAtGG yeah mate I’m a city fan and some city fans went down to spot where those 2 lads sadly lost there lives so I felt really proud to be a city fan that day when my cousin told me in the hotel Saturday morning that city fans were down there already laying flowers it made it emotional but proud of fans our for showing those 2 lads are not forgotten

As a Turkish I find this only tragic, I don’t attend football matches since those events because I know the reputation of Turkish hooligans very well. Not much has changed since then despite many clubs in Turkey trying to eliminate the hooligan presence in the stadiums, however these thugs are still active outside the stadiums. I only wished those two lads would have sticked to their own business. Turkey is not like Europe, there are revenge killings, knife culture and short tempers, you simply cannot stroll by , act the way you want and expect people to just take it.
Horrific event with such tragic outcome. The boys will live on through the Leeds club and community. A beautiful video to honour two lads just supporting their team abroad. MOT.

I used to sing the Munich song when i was a kid back in the 70's, i read a book a few years ago called The Team who wouldn't die, which was about the brilliant Busby Babes side who perished in 58, i was singing it in ignorance when i was a kid.

I've supported leeds since '86. There's so much here I didn't actually realise. The scale of the attack by both the instanbul public AND their police force is incredible and disgusting. How on earth did the game go ahead the day after?

I remember the shocking night in Istanbul news flash that two LEEDS UNITED Supporter's had been stabbed to death it was shocking the way the Police treated Leeds United Supporter's out there and that team we played that night showed NO respect at all they didn't even wear black armbands a total disgrace to football .
