The intention of this video is to help you install, manage, understand and run this mod in the sim successfully. I believe this product is very useful, and based on the requests for a setup guide and tutorial it seems quite a popular option for injecting more realistic liveries, flight plans and traffic into MSFS 2020.
In order to use this mod effectively we need to understand the way both parts of the product work together. The AIG AI Manager installs liveries, flight plans, aircraft (traffic) and sound files into the Traffic Controller mod, which is then used to inject these files into MSFS 2020. This took a lot longer then I'd thought it would, i ended up 2 days of downloading flight plans i could find in USA but so far results seem nice. There is a decent variety of plans a KMCO for example and far more active and interesting then the default games online traffic i was used to using before. Thanks for the video! I hope the software gets even easier to use as development continues, for example clicking and opening each flight plan to see map of where they are located was super time consuming, since each one takes a while to install i didn't want to just install all of them and also I'm really only flying in USA. Obvious ones are easy but some of them i never heard of before so i really just had to click literally every single one to see what regions they flew in. Would like them to enable a column/filter so you can see only the flight plans that visit the country your interested in for example, or continent maybe like North America, South American, Europe, Asia, etc would help significantly.
Cheers for the tutorial man, this mod really brings the sim to life but is a bear to properly install without a tutorial like yours! Hopefully as the product matures AIG makes the installation process a little simpler.
The way I understand it, this mods basically scrapes the avsim forums for this content, or at least downloads from there. Pretty sure that's A) not that easy to fully automate without any errors, let alone without the login cookie thing etc, and that B) the avsim forums are probably not happy about having thousands of people put load on their server without contributing even just a comment to their site. So it might be in our best interest to keep the hurdle pretty big so less people use AIG and avsim won't come up with ways to block it.

I've been using AIG with P3D for many years now, but the setup process is slightly different with MSFS (and I wasn't quite getting it right). Now I'll never have to see another Iberia Regional Express CRJ on the ground at Kathmandu ever again! XD

Brilliant thankyou. Frustrating that all of this isn't already in the sim. Live aircraft seems so glitchy. It's a genuine thrill to be flying and seeing another plane that actually exists on flightradar24.

@@PIEINTHESKYTOURS I truly hope down the road, many of these external apps will have an "auto launch" when you start the sim. As of now, I have 5-6 apps I have to remember to start pre or during the sim 🤦. Not necessarily complaining, but man!
Hey there! This tutorial is amazing! Very simple to follow. But what exactly does signing in to Avsim and the other websites do? Also, you may have said this in the video, but do you have to install the liveries from the livery manager for Live traffic too? So let’s say you haven’t installed some liveries from the manager, and is using live traffic, but the livery, and model of that real world plane is not installed, will the sim just use the generic models? Sorry for all these many questions just trying to clarify. Thanks!
Thanks for the tutorial, I've been having some fun installing airlines. I see that not all aircraft types are available yet. I assume this is cause it's beta and is still WIP. That said, it's still pretty awesome and the best way to get realistic looking airports

It’s working perfect so far for me, I’m having one weird issue though. When I click inject traffic, it works in the sim as intended, but the AI traffic controller application itself doesn’t respond anymore. I can’t look at the map or do anything with it other than minimize it.

Great tutorial. A quick question, It is giving a pop up, which says Should AIM now enable long paths in your Windows Registry. Because in my windows 11 - settings do not allow usage of paths longer that 256 characters! is that something which may cause data theft or something? as it is asking changes in windows registry. Hey, this great as usual! Thx for this :) I have one question about the settings. You give the traffic settings but what about the multiplayer settings. I don't understand how this works. Where I have traffic setting set to AI OFFILNE which setting will work on the FLIGHT CONDITIONS section? Live players, all players or off? Live traffic, AI or off?
Its telling me that my directory is too long over 255 characters for the OCI folder. I don't understand, what I should do?
Another great video, my question is are deleting “Enhanced Live Traffic” before installing AIG? I previously installed the enhanced live traffic and wish to install the AIG product.
Thanks for the video! Have you had the planes doing odd things? Such as some of them doing flyby the tower, going backwards on runways and spinning? I am not sure why I have this issue. I might need to look at the settings. I have it set for AI Online traffic which I might change.
Just started watching so if you answer this question my apologies. Did you disable all other AI Traffic programs from your earlier videos? Also, I use ADD-ON LINKER so I will point tat folder and not the Community Folder. This gives me complete control over what is loaded each time I launch the Sim. Thanks.

Thanks for a great video. Am stuck at Traffic controller setup. I had to use AIG manager to set up an OCI folder on my "C" drive (C:\AIG\aig-aitraffic-oci-beta instead of the community folder) to avoid the 255 max character error. TC asks where this folder and even though it's on my "C" drive, I noticed there is a duplicate in the community folder as well. Not sure which to link too in traffic controller.

At 4:52 you indicate that the OCi directory box should be directed to the Community folder, but should this be Community/AIG-Traffic-OCI? Also how do you get the fly-by view in MSFS2020. New to the sim and just feeling my way into it. Great tutorial by the way.
Hi mate, thanks for the tutorial. I have aircraft sat on the apron (Aegean livery downloaded for LGAV) but the a/c are blanked white with no texture or Livery. Where have I gone wrong?

My version won't expand to let me paste the address of the OCI directory into the window, and if I try to search for it by clicking select, it does not show in the folder tree. It is in my system as I can find it manually outside of the programe. Any ideas. Everyhting else is working.

Great video. I have a question about what you mentioned at 7:39, after clicking USE AIGFP. You said to locate the folder (...oci/beta) in community folder, but you didn't specify which directory should be associated with this location. Can you clarify?
i have a feeling that my traffic planes have generic models and sit at the gates only is because the file is not being recognised in the community folder, when i go into the aig manager, it does not show up the installed aircraft from one of the flight packs. all my other community addons work perfect though? i can see the planes on the map and see their generic models but that is it??
I still have FLAI for P3D. Although Flai is no longer updated does this only affect the various paint jobs on the aircraft, is the model of aircraft affected not being updated.
There are so many to choose from within AIG it is a matter of either installing them all or selecting from the list but there are bound to be ones that I have missed

Great video thanks! I was wondering I installed different airlines but nothing was on my Installed Tab. I removed AIG Installer and now I can’t select Setup at the beginning, any ideas? Thanks
I am confused about the OCI folder location, apparently is has to be the community folder but in the text it says that the directory should not be located inside the main flight simulator folder. By pointing to the community folder i am not being able to install any livery as i end up with a message to active the OIC folder.. weird

I've got a little problem upon the Cookie settings tab. You say, that I need to login in to both Libarys. The problem is, that I just have the AVSIM Library and not AIG or the fltsim I see written in the manuel. Because of that I'm missing some liveries especially from fltsim. Is there a way to fix that or to download it manuelly? I hope you can help me. Cheers ;)
Hello, in the case of installing in P3DV5 I suppose, (see 07:18) that we use : -P3DV5 instead of -MSFS2020 ? Is it that way?, thank you for the great video.
Great tutorial, but I have a question... when I click on Flightplans and Online, I have no 'Not Installed' entries. I did set this up while back and I have 59 flightplans installed (most of the major airlines), but from what I can see in the video (@5.29) and other screenshots there should be hundreds of entries in the Online tab, which I am not seeing. I've tried redoing the cookies and am logged in and have it all setup (as it does work in my MSFS), but I was hoping to add more airlines and flightplans, but I'm not seeing anything now. What could I be doing wrong?

I have a problem though, when i add new airline companies in the manager they don't show up in the Traffic Controller, i only se the two airline companies that i added as a first try when installing this addon. Is there something i miss? The two i added works just fine!

So after Injecting the traffic using AIG Traffic Controller, do I now need to launch AIG Traffic Controller each time I launch MSFS or does it work after that initial inject?
After the setup and all. I assume I will have to keep AIG Manager and Traffic Controller running?
Thanks for this great tutorial. I had everything set up two days ago and it works quiet good for me. I have one question: I have noticed that I have a long list in the "error" section of the AI Manager. Most of them say "No model" What have I done wrong ? I was logged in to the AIG forum and AVSIM when installing the airlines. And I did not skip the manual installation.
@@PIEINTHESKYTOURS In the official AIG forum they told me, that "many models still needs to be made into MSFS models. And it's not an easy process. So it will take a while, sadly." OK so that will be improved in the future 😀
Great video/tutorial but I keep getting Do you want to disable default traffic file? everytime I open AI Manager. What should I do?
Thanks for the tutorial!! I come till the point aig opens up and there is nothing installed yet. After that is a big mistery. I choose for Online and i see a list. I click at install and a new screen about the specific airliner opens up. I click on Install using OCI and a window tells me i need to activate AIGAIM-OCI using the settings.
I have ran every step twice but the message keeps coming up.
I’m having an issue where it won’t actually install the flight plans when I click install. Do I need to give it time after I click install, or should it appear relatively quickly?
The slow drone shot of LHR looks great. but there is an ANA A320 and a DLH B748 present. this does not happen on a schedule service at Heathrow? I was under the impression that this addon would inject realistic routes and liveries.

Do you know if this also shows smaller GA aircraft traffic in real time ? Cessna's , Pipers etc ( smaller than corporate jets) ? thanks. I mainly fly small GA aircraft in VFR, thus the question. Would be awesome to see real time GA traffic also !
Awesome tutorial man! It works great however I noticed once I installed cargo airlines the traffic manager would just close mid flight and all traffic would just go away. Is there a fix with this?

I have the same issue.
I selected to disable generic traffic but I did not continue installing everything for now... I opened MSFS but the generic traffic seems disabled and I can;t find a way to bring it back as the sliders are still showing traffic etc. Any idea to restore this?
Thanks very much. In my case, the manual dowoad has been necessary for every airline I tried. Download speed on media fire is 50-250 kb/s. I won't wait 2 hours per airline😂
Mediafire pro does not mention high speed download speed.

I used the all airlines option to download with OCI but some 150 airlines didn't download completely. When I attempt, it goes through a process which still leaves it incomplete- I happen to know that several people face the same issue. Can you help resolve the same, please?

When i want to install an airline and i push the install using oci tab, i get a message ''please activate AIGAIM-OCI using the Settings''. I have entered the path to the traffic controller under the setup. It does not want to save the path

I am installing it right now. How much space takes to install the whole thing. I want it for VATSIM. I do not fly offline just Vatsim but I love to have most of the matches from people at airports :-)
I am having this issue where it does not let me add the e “-MSFS2020” as parameter. When I click apply it says is not valid " make sure the path is correct". Any suggestions ? thank you
Why do you say to use AI offline traffic on? AIG injects it's own traffic similar to the way UT Live did, so there should be no reason to have traffic on at all in the sim. That's what I do and AIG works great. The only problem is the way jetways deploy on AI traffic, causing stutters when they initiate same as they did in FSX/P3D. (At least on weaker systems.) Is there any way to turn off jetway animation with AI aircraft? If there is that would be great. As it is I use the traffic models with real time Live AI as most of those planes are in the air.
I am not getting the update option under setting nor am I getting the log in option under cookies for alpha India group log in. Also it asks to relocate the oci folder from community to some other place as the path is over 225 character. Could you please help
You did a Great video but, I have tried everything in this Video and it doesn't work I keep getting this message
"Your OCI is located in a directory that will come close to the maximum path length of 256 characters!
To Make sure AIM runs without issues it is suggested to move the OCI package somewhere else.
Use the Move-Option in the settings to relocate the package and add a junction-link in your community directory to MSFS and AIM can detect the new OCI location without issues
I have run the verify setup 10 times and every time It's done I run the texture verification and it keeps telling me this to run set up again.. Arrghhh
I only have a couple of airlines that show up but everything else either solid white or the paint scheme is all messed up on the airplane. I am at my whits with this. Any Idea's. I'm not sure how to just uninstall it and start over.
