Congratulations to you both. You should have no fears about birth and your baby in Thailand. I had surgery here about 20 years ago and the Care was absolutely top class.
The staff are as good as anywhere in the world if not better in my opinion., and I should know I’m a nurse. I nursed sick newborn for 35 years in Australia so if you need any help later down the track, you can contact me. I live in Hua Hin and would be happy to help or give advice.
Thank you so much!
Dental and medical care is excellent in Thailand and especially in Hua Hin where there are so many hospitals. I'm aware that some doctors work in both the private and public sector on different days - might want to keep this in mind.
Congrats. Pregnancy is an individual process. Just enjoy the moment and you both enjoy the experience and journey. There will be barriers but work it out by talking, remember Mandy is important. Thailand has good healthcare services, better than public services here in Australia.
Yes! Thank you!
Canadian here! =) A bit of info to help with the healthcare question (Specific to birth) for any non-canadians that are interested: I had two babies in the last 3 years in Alberta. I had a midwife and delivered in a hospital both times. 3 ultrasounds both times and lab work. All free. Midwifery care is covered in Alberta but may not be in every province. An OBGYN is also an option covered under universal care. After my first, I also had two visits to the ER and a post partum surgery for what turned out to be a minor complication. I never paid for anything.
Two healthy babes and a healthy mom later, I'm here watching these absolute legends!!! You guys are so wonderful and I love that you are sharing all of this info!
Thanks for the insight and kind words!
@@LloydandMandy Canadian here from Ontario and even though it is free here for us they kick you out of the hospital a day after birth.
Praying for smooth pregnancy and delivery!
It’s just Hua Hin. Exactly how it’s spelled. 💪🏽 the expat myths of the whaaa hin. Great video guys 👏🏼
So happy for you both, but travelling will be a little harder only if you let it. Babies are very resilient . Take notice of how the locals handle it., especially with the heat. You are living in a tropical country and until the child can regulate body temperature you need to be aware. Xx
Captain Sensible here. Once Bub arrives you’ll probably realise the wee one can be bitten by the dengue carrying mozzie. They’re very vulnerable to attack. I know you guys both had it in Bali. I’ve always been vaguely neurotic about dengue, having caught it in Hue, Vietnam. Get the mozzie nets sorted for when they’re teeny tiny & laying outside to get their Vitamin D.
Chuffed to bits for your new addition you will be fabulous parents x
Thank you!
Wonderful news! 👏🏻👍🏻😃
Your comments regarding spiritual connection was beautiful and very insightful.
Thank you so much

Healthcare is free in Canada! Great video!
3:23 Might be advice around Zika virus.
wow, super helpful, L&M, thanks. My wife and I are moving to Hua Hin in October, planning to spend a year or two at least, and also have a baby occasionally on our minds, so this is all great to know
Glad it was helpful!
Oops, just heard Bangkok hospital. I'm one minute from there.
no words
Congratulations to you both 🎉 Really love your vlogs. if you guys need a thumbnail designer let me know. if not. keep creating awesome vlogs.
Thank you! Will do!
You look so healthy!
Thank you
Congrats!
Are you guys staying in Hua Hin?
I think I saw you at Shakti yoga this morning
Hey! Congratulations on the baby! 🎉 just curious did you’re doctors ever mention the risks with Zika and the pregnancy there? We’re heading there in less than 3 weeks and in my 2nd trimester, but a little worried with all the Zika talk and advisories so just curious if it’s more hyped in Europe than it is there? Thanks so much for any info! X
I'm impressed by the progress that Lloyd and Mandy have made over the years. A few years ago I think they came across as ignorant Westerners but after living in Thailand for so long, they are now educating Westerners on some of their ignorant perceptions.
khan academy if you want to home-school, it's great, and free. Halio school in Hua Hin might be your kind of place, check it out.
Thank you
❤
What video do you talk about the parasite you got in Vietnam?!
Thailand is in raining season now.
yes it is!
Its still free in Canada
Are you doing anything to prevent Zika? In the UK we are advised not to visit Zika countries like Thailand due to risk to the baby.
Hey guys could you please advise how and who’s the best to get your dog over to Thailand thanks
We used @wearpetadventures, you can check out our previous video
You should have used contraceptives
Pregnancy is a major change for any woman.
I suggest that you both learn to speak and write Thai if you plan on living there permanently. Although English is fairly widely spoken and understood in Thailand, life will be easier if you learn any country's native language. Thai is difficult but not impossible to learn.
Mandy, I would recommend that you consult with every source you can to ensure that you do not ingest anything that will harm your little one, and please pamper yourself whilst pregnant, because your baby needs it. Your baby will be so thankful later on, as well.
Are you prepared for your child possibly being born disabled and / or not wholly "normal" (if you will)? It is daunting, but it also happens.
Travelling with babies is inadvisable. The smallest ones need to be and feel settled. And, parenting is hard enough without being peripatetic and on the go, go, go all the while.
America's healthcare system is beyond piss-poor. Many Americans hate it. I want a National HealthCare System, badly. Americans deserve it.

I am sorry if i did not recognised which part of Thailand you live in ? We are also pregnant :) and we live in Phuket ❤
Hua Hin, it's amazing
What hospital are you going to in Hua Hin? I'm in Hua Hin right now. If you're going to be out and about in the next week, I'd love to say hi and give you a baby gift.

👍ขอให้สุขภาพดีทั้งแม่ทั้งลูกนะค่ะ🥰🇹🇭
ขอให้มีความสุขในประเทศไทย
Congratulations
Thanks so much
