We had a Whippet some years ago - laziest dog I ever saw! She had two speeds: Flat out at about 80mph for a minute, and sound asleep for the other 23hrs, 59mins.

Also Italian Greyhounds tend to have eyes that are a little more protruded, and slightly smaller snouts, compared to the whippet. I know this beauty is a whippet because we've got one - you can see him over on my channel - it's all I have ever posted! Cheers.
I suffer with Extreme anxiety, PTSD and was diagnosed last week with clinical depression so my mood has been awful for the last month or so. To help me cope, I took out a subscription to Paramount + I'm currently re-watching the whole Frasier collection and I am on season 8 episode 22 and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching these clips again. Despite of the fact that I can barely cope with leaving my sofa, the absolute belly laughs I have had watching this again is really helping. I am really looking forward to the new episodes next year. 🥰
I also have PTSD and depression, so I can understand some of how you feel. I awake most mornings with plans to not spend the day lying across the bed scrolling through YT or playing games on my phone. To me it's frustrating to try to explain to certain family members that I don't have "normal" days. Washing dishes or taking out the trash are great accomplishments. Just want to hopefully assure you that you are loved even if you don't see it. If there is anyone you can reach out to, give it a try. On an episode, cant remember, @Cafe Nervosa, Fraiser exchanged waves with a small woman in sunglasses at the door, afterwards, Maris' maid comes in and starts talking to Frasier. Cant help but thinking the woman in the sunglasses was supposed to have been Maris. Anyone else remember the episode?!
That was what we were supposed to think, that Maris was coming in - then the woman walks past meeting someone else, and it turns out Frasier was waving at Marta the maid. :-D Season 4, "Ask Me No Questions". :-)
I never understood why the dog was considered something to laugh at, Whippet's are intelligent, loyal, playful & loving & that dog is a perfect example of the breed.
Get this: We own two of "Girl's" relatives. The breeder was FURIOUS about this episode because they portrayed whippets poorly. (They aren't high strung and don't need nerve meds, etc.), but I LOVE THIS.
+julia brink Perhaps, but *this* particular whippet is high strung and needs nerve meds. After all, Niles' dog was supposed to be a canine substitute for Maris, and they needed a breed who would resemble her (very, very skinny).
It could be that the nerve medicine was for just this dog and not the whole breed. I've had a couple of schnauzers over the years, and each one has been slightly different from the other. And i love them so.
If Mel was Maris' clone, then this dog is Maris in canine form. Having said that, I think it's a cute dog myself. But I kind of figured Niles wouldn't keep her for very long.

When I was a kid I had a German Shepherd named Maris and a Lab named Niles.
It’s kinda like in the the Big Bang theory when Raj is with his dog, Cinnamon. I love Niles, he’s hilarious and my favorite character in Frasier. 😂
