Rogue's origin story from X-MEN: The Animated Series.
I'm not sure the Earth # is correct. Either way, I love of the idea of it having a slot in the Marvel Multiverse.
I DO NOT own this. This is property of Marvel. This is purely for entertainment and not for any commercial purpose. - Zábava
In my opinion the best version of rogue. EVER.
not just yours
exaflare the best versión of pretty much EVERY x-men
ironmaster64 *looks over at Jean* 😬...
It's not an opinion when it's A FACT.
Without a doubt.
This scene alone proves that X-men 92 is not "just to sell toys" it has depth and gut-punching stories to give you a step further into how life is
This better be the plot in a Captain Marvel sequel.
if so dam sad if captain marvel from avenger got her power taken....
czcams.com/video/juwDb-9t-jM/video.html
so rogue ambushed ms marvel whilst she was trying to pilot a passenger plane from crashing? and killing all hundred onboard? women and children
Well Carol Danvers was ms marvel originally in the comics and not captain marvel, so the storytelling is already been skewed.
@@blarysur6877 yes Mystique manipulated Rogue.
You know, it JUST NOW occurred to me that Mystique didn't have to train Rouge how to fly the jet: she stole those skills from the airman she incapacitated.
The MCU needs to make her look like a badass, with her Southern accent, her abilities, her sense of humor, and her costume design from the 90s
Rogue is not from the 90s, she's from the 80s
This is the rogue we need in the movies.
This was the carol Danvers we need in the movies.
Rogue has such a tragic backstory man, first her powers activate while kissing her true love, then her father disowns her for being a mutant, then Mystique adopts her and causes her to steal Ms. Marvel's powers *PERMANENTLY*
Poor gal.
It’s sad but… the comics one amps it up.
Okay, in the original comics, Mystique started as a Miss Marvel villain because Destiny, her “roommate” (they got married in the 1890’s by Mystique taking on a private detective male persona… and Destiny is Irene Adler. That’s right. Mystique is technically Sherlock Holmes) had a vision that Carol would cause irreparable damage to rogue.
Rogue overheard and was like “Oh no, if Mama goes up against Carol, she’s done for! Not if I have anything to say about it!”
She goes to face Carol, absorbing so much of her powers that it’s not only permanent. It also leaves a copy of Carol’s personality in her brain that takes over.
So where’s rogue real mother?
I can’t wait for Rogue to be introduced in the MCU. Her character is such a badass.
Yeah supposed to be in the next Cpt Marvel movie. Not gonna lie though, wish Brie Larson was replaced.
Rogue is so hot this is 90's series of X-Men especially in that green outfit of hers when Mystique adopted her
Well it's getting a reboot
Its not a reboot
This 90's kids show was the perfect blend of action and intelligence.
And they tell a story about how the world is. I mean her own dad was furious about and disowned her when finding out she was a mutant (something she can't control). Sounds like what gay ppl go through....
*Interesting fact:* Mystique was originally supposed to be a recurring foe of Ms. Marvel instead of the X-Men.
Not only that, but Rogue was originally an enemy of the Avengers
@@heresthadude1080 I mean Sabertooth was an Ironfist villain before he was transplated into being an X-Men and specifically Wolverine Villain. This is a common occurrence in comics (And usually ends good because said villains were usually better off with THIS character as their nemesis/enemy then the one they started with!).
@@heresthadude1080 Apocalypse is arch-enemies with the Eternals!
I was wondering why this version of Rouge had super strength and could fly. This added a lot of depth to her character
Well in the comics that's how it was, and this cartoon was based on the comics at the time
This show definitely did
@@CrisisHipHop I'm just getting into the entirety of the Marvel universe. I only know more of Spiderman and the Avengers
How come she can’t do that in movies
Always loved the sound of her voice in this series 💚
the sound of her voice is amazing
Lenore Zann is awesome
This is my favorite episode of the X-Men animated series. A Rogue's Tale. Very well done. Not quite following the line of the comic book, but close to it. This incarnation of Carol Danvers is Ms. Marvel, not Captain Marvel. She becomes binary after Rogue involuntarily puts her in a coma and gets Kree powers later on. That's the version we see on screen with her first movie and Avengers Endgame. I don't know how they'll do this, but Rogue is already that version (flight and superstrength) if Captain Marvel has Kree powers. And Rogue is one of the last members to join the X-Men, so many came and went before her showing up. Rogue was manipulated by Mystique plotting revenge against Carol. That episode alone would be perfect as a movie. Leading females, and a story that has no winner at the end. It's the women who got the best powers in X-Men.
It could also set up monica rambeau to take up mantle of captain marvel also after carols coma
The Phoenix and Dark Phoenix sagas would have been perfect if they actually used the plot from this series as well lol.
Rogue is so hot in the 90s X-Men cartoon and she's even prettier in that green outfit when mystique adopted her
Marvel really needs to do a proper Rogue movie in the mcu
Maybe this episode 'A rouges tale' in live action or at least a reference to it
Hopefully she won't be poc
@@Jmgjgdjd5she's Southern dumbass, there are more Black people from Mississippi than White people, so why would Rogue being mixed or even a Black woman matter?
@@murk4552Because some people are very sensitive and believe that she would be race swapped for “brownie points”. It’s fun seeing them cry.

For a children's cartoon the orgins of Rogue's super strength is really devastating. Leaving Carol in a vegetable state, (comatose) permanently. 😢 Rogue with her powers and memories, but that small smile from Carol at the end together with the brain monitor bleeping, "I forgive you Rogue and thank you for remember me. 😢😢
I think that was Monica Ramboux (or however it’s spelled) Captain Marvel is Carol.
@@sirslickrockrambeau*
@sirslickrock that's Carol, she's the OG Ms Marvel. Monica is the OG Captain Marvel
She accidentally took all of ms Marvel's powers, that's why those memories of ms Marvel haunted her ,but I think in the comics ms Marvel got her powers back
@sirslickrock No, that is Carol Danvers, Rogue says it explicitly by the end of the episode to the hospital staff.
When a 30 minute cartoon in the 90s did a better job at Captain Marvel than hundreds of millions in the MCU
This is one of the only forms of media that handled this type of storyline well.
Rogue's mutant power is OP as fuck but makes sense that draining someone to replicate their power would fuck up her psyche. It's a realistic downside that balances the OP well.
Rogue essentially had two people living inside of her. Really tragic to say the least. But Professor X advice "In order for you to heal you must forget." is very cold and uncaring since Rogue put an innocent Ms Marvel in a permanent vegetable state.
We need a Rogue movie
To this day I still read rogue's voice in this southern accent!
I’ll Be Honest Rogue’s Backstory Is Really Heartbreaking
In the comics she was four when adopted so even younger
Rogue’s dad getting to big for those XL shirts

Before the MCU there was X-Men the Animated Series to bring all of Marvel's characters together.
I also enjoy how the cartoon didn't care if you didn't know what was going on because you didn't read the comics.

I prefer this sexy badass version of rouge over the emo one
The emo rouge is more comic accurate uses her base powers. Then bust hair rouge over here needed a basic of strength and fly of some of Ms marvel powers to even be useful in combat. Also she bangs magneto . While emo rouge when toe to toe with magneto and uses magnet powers way better even becoming a treat entire faction of both groups.

Rogue and Ms Martian would have so much to talk about if they lived in the same verse.
Rogue actually has Mutants with similar powers or can't Touch physically almost nobody like Wilther you decays anything that he touchs and Chamber has fire from his mouth. But Rogue never talks to them because Rogue is either "I cant Touch anything." "I hate my crazy mothers" "Why does Gambit tell me about his secrets after what we been." "I suddenly hot for Magneto". I am pretty sure Rogue forgets that Nightcrawler is her half brother.
Her voice is a little husky it suits her character dressup and her style
Good thing her and her dad dress alike, i never would have guessed who he was!!

@@s0me0ne1se As long as we get a Rogue movie I'm happy either way! I don't like that Marvel aren't treating her good in the comics in recent times. In Krakoa she barely featured and Destiny and Mystique don't acknowledge her which is bizarre. Then in the Nightcrawler retcon her epic adoption story is pretty much made all about him. So instead of it being the usual "wow she's gonna be a powerful mutant she's special", now it's basically Destiny replacing her with their lost child whom she wants to forget (now Mystique is an A+ mom). 🙄

So if Rogue touches you long enough, she can copy your powers permanently? That's so OP. Imagine if she did that to all other X-Men. But it comes with heavy drawbacks right?
If someone has a bigger will or Rogue has a condition that makes her weak like fatigue, the person can take control of Rogue's power and body. Sadly for Rogue, there is lot people with bigger wills. Like Magik, pretty much any good Telepath like Selene and Emma Frost, Phoenix Force, Mister Sinister and many others. If Rogue touches a mind control target, if she might get also manipulated.
Also Rogue needs to physically touch the target, if the target is made by fire or phases by solid object or can make Rogue restrain by some means, her effects wont activate.
@@ghostrouxinol6169 Yeah I can see that the biggest drawback of Rogue is not being able to touch her target.

When the cartoon is better than the movie. Hell they even got the Ms. Marvel bit right.
To be fair the X-men movies can't use Carol for legal reasons.
I think they could have worked around that.
In the comics, Blob, Pyro, Avalanche and Destiny were all in prison (Rykers Island) and Rogue attacked Ms. Marvel as part of an attempt to gain all the strongest Avengers' powers to free them. She got Thor and Cap, but was unable to get Wonder Man due to his physiology. They also took out Iron Man with some hi-tech SHIELD gear. So the whole premise of the book (I think it as Avengers Annual #5?), was that all the 2nd-tier Avengers, plus Spider Woman, had to defeat the brotherhood. It was a great book - I kept it for many years after selling off my collection.
In fairness this is probably one of the greatest animated shows ever. It's hard to measure up to the xmen series
