Props to Emma, she did manage to fight off one of the most powerful entities in the universe, even if its at the cost of her own life. She might not have actually died though, she was revived by reforming the diamonds in the comics in the past. And she's etremely witty and calculated, she could have transfered herself to another body after shattering, she's done similar things in the past. She's not one to just throw herself on the frontline like that without having a backup plan
That was actually part of the story had their been a season two. Emma was supposed to have transferred her mind into Jean and so throughout season two Jean would have began acting more and more like Frost.

Not "remains", remains. Those large chunks of diamond are chunks of her organic diamond-like form, not just flesh, but muscle, blood, bone, organs. The only thing that isn't is her final meal and/or drink.
I’m very sad we never saw more Emma Frost on the big screen. No discredit to January Jones, but I feel like First Class just used her a sex object and she has an unnamed cameo in Origins. She has so much more depth and potential than that. If Marvel brings them into the MCU, I hope to see Hope and Rachel Summers with Emma Frost.

You know... What I felt intrigued from, in this scene, was why Emma chose to get into her diamond form. It almost felt like she wanted to be destroyed, so the Phoenix would have no host. I mean if we remember, the five sisters together were needed to match Emma's power and the five of them managed to host the Phoenix pretty well but they were posessed by it. So that makes me think that if Emma remained into her natural form, she might have managed to survive but the Phoenix would have taken over her in its Dark Phoenix state. I feel as if Emma turned into diamond form in order to block her mind from the Phoenix for as long as she could. The Phoenix tried to escape and it would have no choice but to break her but by breaking her, it would remain without a host and it would return to space. Somehow I think that Emma seems to know this and instead of choosing to survive and trying to control the Phoenix with her mind (and probably fail since not even Jean seems to be able at this stage to control the Dark Phoenix and it took for her to die for the Phoenix to stop its detsructive work in the first comics, if I recall correctly) so instead of even trying, Emma turned into her diamond form, blocking the Phoenix for some time and she knew that it would probably destroy her diamond form... Not sure...somehow I can't help but wonder...
In the comics Emma didn't have access to her telepathic powers in her diamond form, so presumably that offered her some protection from the Phoenix Force taking her over.

She was much better then the movie interpretation. She did what she had to do either being good or evil, it was always for the better good. Never just some mindless cyclops who is going to sacrifice himself for something that's going to happen whether or not he tries to stop it, Emma actually knew what she was capable of and ACTUALLY made a difference. It's pretty dope that she could handle the strongest entity in the universe even when she was not a omega level Telepath like Jean.

I have always thinked that it was the perfect end for Frost, killed herself to protect Cyclop from Jean, as Jean does to protect him from the Dark Phoenix years ago. A kind of symbol to prove how much she cares about him, a kind of tragedy too, because it's the only way to show that she truly deserves him.

It is even stated that she has a third mutation; telekinesis. I believe in one issue Jean Gray entered Emma's body and lifted some debris falling from a building. It is later hinted that the telekinesis wasn't Jean Gray but Emma herself. Dunno man I just love that character. She is full of surprises.
Now that I've read more comics I noticed that they kinda did a version of The Phoenix Five and Emma shattering while in diamond form from the main continuity AND the Stepford sisters temporaly holding the Phoenix, it breacking free and Emma trying to hold it and dying for it from the What If where they bring back Jean instead of Colossus in Astonishing X-Men (only there she askes to be killed before she loses control and Kitty phases her heart out)
In hindsight Emma’s plan to release the Phoenix was how she was able to defeat Shadow King so quickly earlier on: she dragged him out of Storm long enough for the others to drag Storm away and then left him without a host body to disintegrate
Yeah, Scott save Jean Grey because he doesn't want her to die again and give in despair. And Emma Frost, she not just save Cyclops. Emma Frost save the World as well. Now that the Phoenix is gone, Jean Grey is free.
I kinda hated how they made the phoenix a parasite that couldn't be controlled as it completely diminishes her relationship to it.Also how in the hell did they know jean possessed it I wonder if this show ever continued would she eventualy become a viable host and perhaps go against apocalypse since he was alluded to be the next villain

If this continued the series would have been about the Age of Apocalypse Timeline, I hope that Emma would have been ressurected there by the Phoenix Force.
And bring all characters of X-Men in Wolverine and the X-Men Season 2 like: Deadpool, X-23, Bishop, Cable, Jean's new outfit, Wolverine wearing Ultimate outfit like X-Men Evolution and bring all the students and Colossus back in the final episode of Season 2.

It is even stated that she has a third mutation; telekinesis. I believe in one issue Jean Gray entered Emma's body and lifted some debris falling from a building. It is later hinted that the telekinesis wasn't Jean Gray but Emma herself.

Now that I've read more comics I noticed that they kinda did a version of The Phoenix Five and Emma shattering while in diamond form from the main continuity AND the Stepford sisters temporaly holding the Phoenix, it breacking free and Emma trying to hold it and dying for it from the What If where they bring back Jean instead of Colossus in Astonishing X-Men (only there she askes to be killed before she loses control and Kitty phases her heart out)
I wish phoenix had more relevance in this show.....she was such a badass on the animated series

This cartoon did Emma frost right. The live action movies showed too little of Emma frost when she’s top 5 most important characters in the entire xmen comics. Hopefully the MCU will fix this
