SCROLLERS!
Just for you: • Ken Heron - SCROLLERS ... - Zábava
Hey Ken, its Ryan the cop. I wish I had more time to talk but we are a busy city. Looks like you lost the bet on what answer I would give!
Hey Ryan!!
Yeah, I wasn't expecting you to be as informed. What a refreshing change from most law enforcement people I've met! Thank you for being so cordial and friendly!! 🤓👍👮♂️
Cool cop
Ditto Ryan. Thank you for your service!!
Thanks Ryan, many of us watch Ken's videos to see real world experience of flying in public places. It's good to see that there's no harm in asking.
I think Ryan needs to be in one of your next videos but keeping his personal info private still. Would be fun to watch.
Ken there's a lot of us cops subscribed!! We like drones too...hahahaha!
Wonderful!
(And thank you for your service.)👮♂️👍
✋🏻✋🏻
It's almost like you are people. Mind blown!
there learning for free Ken from a pro can't blame them
Wow!!!
Ken, you are an amazing pilot! If I didn’t live 890 miles from you, I would hire you for tips, tricks and smooth moves as only you can do. Thanks for the many hours of quality entertainment in allowing us to see things we would never get to see. Well done Sir!!!
0:41 this "Oooh" felt like it came straight out of a cartoon, like the reaction. Its absolutely gold. I think that broke me, its 2am and I'm laughing like a maniac.
So good to see you flying some more, GREAT WORK SIR!! And the cop was AWESOME! Respect to Ryan.
He is good fun OK nice to see him out and about
This was extremely enjoyable. You had me at "let's see what the cop says". Thanks for putting this up. Its too much fun.
when I first found your channel, I thought this fella is a penny short of a dollar ? I soon realized you are TOP DOLLAR. thank you, graham in England.
Hello Graham.
Thanks so much!🇬🇧👍
Hey Ken this is one of the best vids you have done! Great location and explanation prior to the flight of the process to obtain LAANC approval and the launch process. Nice views of the building and footage to show the top and restaurant. You have more guts that most of us for sure! Get your preorder in for the Skydio 2 so we get your evaluation of it.
Great video and footage Ken loved it especially when the police man was one of your subscribers lol
That surprised me for sure!👮♂️👍
That was some funny sh!t. LoLLLl
@@KenHeron HI
Good flight Ken. Cant believe I was stressed the other side of The Atlantic sitting sipping beer ......... you are a flying Ace mate.
Ballzzz!!! My heart was pounding when you were revolving around the restaurant. Great flight.👏
Keep videos coming, I Love watching your videos. Very cool on the once working building, and restaurant.
Ken, Thanks for all the videos. Your videos have been very helpful showing how to fly and apply the FAA rules to practical situations. Thanks to you, I've started taking some really nice videos of some of our downtown scenery as well as some cool shots at one of our reservoirs. Subscribed!
So happy to help, Chris!
Great movie. You've answered many questions I've pondered on and inspired me to fly in city areas.......legally. I live in Yorkshire, UK, and York screams out to filmed from the air. Many thanks Ken and keep the movies coming.
Not all the advice outlined in this video is accurate in the UK. It is totally illegal to fly over York city or ANY other congested area. I strongly recommend search "uk drone laws" before getting yourself into trouble.
@@natedog8147 So...did you do it?
Thank you Ken for all your hard work. To put these videos together takes alot of diligence and hard work. Keep them coming please! I learn something new every video.
You're very welcome, Aaron!
Of course it's fun, but you're right... it's also a lot of effort.
Glad to do it though!🤓
You have the best shows about all going on. Very entertaining and educational. Thank you and all have a great one.
Fantastic Ken, and very impressed you use left foot for braking!
"One foot on the brake, and one on the gas!" -- Sammy Hagar! ;-)
I'm from Memphis and am fixing to get a drone so I was trying to find out what regulations were specific to Memphis. I click on this vid, boom, it's in Memphis. How about luck! lol. Hopefully I'll be able to fly around Shelby county without any problems. Nice to see another Memphian on here. Keep up the good work!
Thanks my friend!
Use the Airmap app.
It'll help a great deal. 👍
Pretty cool Ken... the UP sign was there for as long as I can remember... saw it flying into Memphis many times.... another Kensational video
Thanks Ken Great flight like always love your work. Have a great Sunday
That was a very cool tour of that building I actually enjoyed it it would have been cool if you could have got inside LOL
The intro made my day! 🤣👍
Way cool! Thanks for this one, I work in downtown Sarasota, FL. I use my drone for my building surveys, 12 floors.
Hi Ken!! Thanks for those videos as always from Puerto Rico!! Very helpfull
Ken you should try skywatch for Monthly insurance! Like $60 for a month...depending on your coverage amount
What are the odds for you to find an officer, that watches your videos and is subscribed? Great video!!!
Epic episode! A beautiful day for a flawless flight. Thanks for showing us how it's done. Never been to Memphis until today and I got a kick out of the pyramid.
Love your work Ryan! Thanks for being so cool about it!
I’m noticing the orientation of your controller antennas. From what I understand they should be perpendicular (90) to where the UAV is.
At that distance it really wouldn't make much of a difference. I fly a Mavic Pro and I only start getting signal issues due to antennae and obstructions about 1.5-2 miles out
Salamihawk anyone know what aftermarket antennas those are?
I'll put a link in the description for you. 👍
Nice one!
Thanks Kelly!
Terrific flying Ken! I'm flying better all the time but still watching and learning! Good job!
Love the video ken and the audio music was kicking match on every level that experience
FAIL. Officer Ryan completely destroyed all of his preconceived notions on cops! But it was a good life lesson, and great job including in the video.
Not that serious..
@@gboogie360 who said it was serious? It was just true.
That was so cool. The cop is a subscribers
I was happily surprised!🤓
ive been on an architecture flying kick lately so this was awesome to see! great video!
When a parade passes by... That was awesome!! I thought you were gonna take a "peek" inside the restaurant!! I think it's time for "lash" call.
Ryan for president! :)
He has my vote!🇺🇲
Great Video... I’m in Spain and this would be an impossible flight. Spain has no mobile apps to get quick permission although if you stood in your flight zone you would need the Internet, a printer, a computer and about a 2 week wait to hear from AESA...after sending in a flight plan .......at the end of which they would say a big fat NO.... by this time you may have got arrested for hanging around at the building as a possible robber trying to break in 😂
Oh my!
Yeah, I hope the rest of the world will come to realize that drones aren't the plague some powers that be think they are.
Even when I’m sick with COVID, you are always the guy that puts a smile on my face. Thanks, You’re the Bomb !
Feel better SOON my friend!
I just subscribed tonight too....it took me a while to get used to your humor but my interest in the mav mini kept bringing me back to your video's. Keep em coming....thanks Ken.
Thank you Steve!
That’s so awesome he’s a subscriber
I was very surprised!👮♂️👍
Bahahaha!! Awesome, dude knew who you were right away😂😂
Cop will be on Tuesday night live next
Nice name! Now I can't use that one when I start my own channel. 😀
There is a park here in Charlotte right in the middle of the city and I flew my drone there yesterday with the LANCC app. It works great you just have to follow the rules.
Nice video Ken, your flying is a joy to watch 👍 so smooth. Loved to cop at the beginning, your famous man all over the world 👍👍👍
That's so freakin hilarious that the cop knows you by watching and subscribing to to your channel. By the way what kind of dash cam do you use?
That's a Vantrue N2 Pro hanging off his windshield. Nice cam.
@@mjordan812 Thanks for the info.
Cool! But to clarify for everyone - Recreational pilots CANNOT fly above 400 AGL under any circumstance. I was unsure so submitted the question directly to the FAA. They replied that Part 107 pilots have the exception to fly over 400' if within 400' of a taller structure, but this exception does not apply to hobbists.
a7wd when did that change?
@@goneviral6037 The FAA told me that it was a "misintrepretation" that recreational flyers could fly above 400' as Part 107.51 allows. They wrote "This provision does not apply to recreational flyers. At the present time, recreational flyers may fly no higher than 400 ft AGL in class G (uncontrolled) airspace." This was in an email to me dated July 2, 2019 in response to my query. That's all I know.
a7wd thanks. Yeah I did some research on this and found the same thing.
@@brandonh2690 The FAA states "within a 400-foot radius of a structure" for Part 107 pilots:
[FAA Quote]
§107.51 Operating limitations for small unmanned aircraft.
A remote pilot in command and the person manipulating the flight controls of the small unmanned aircraft system must comply with all of the following operating limitations when operating a small unmanned aircraft system:
(a) The groundspeed of the small unmanned aircraft may not exceed 87 knots (100 miles per hour).
(b) The altitude of the small unmanned aircraft cannot be higher than 400 feet above ground level, unless the small unmanned aircraft:
(1) Is flown within a 400-foot radius of a structure; and
(2) Does not fly higher than 400 feet above the structure's immediate uppermost limit.
[end Quote]
@@brandonh2690 All I can do is copy from the FAA email reply dated July 2, 2019, to my question asking for clarification about recreational pilots flying greater than 400 AGL above structures as the FAA video presentations I watched were less than clear, IMHO:
"Thank you for contacting the FAA's Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Support Center. This is a misinterpretation. There is a provision within Part 107 that allows certified remote pilots to operate 400 ft above structures." "This provision does not apply to recreational flyers. At the present time, recreational flyers may fly no higher than 400 ft AGL in class G (uncontrolled) airspace."
Really appreciate the work you put into your videos. Great stuff.
Just when I think that I can't be any more jealous of the ENORMOUS freedoms you enjoy in the US..A video like this comes along.
My city in the UK has a blanket drone ban across the whole city unless you are a member of a club in a small area.
To see the simplicity and efficiency of the system you use here is amazing.
It would never be allowed here of course due to our increasingly draconian anti drone paranoia.
I hope you folks appreciate the freedoms you have.
Hey Paul!
Yes indeed. I'm very thankful for LAANC and the FAA for allowing us responsible drone pilots to make a living AND have fun while doing it. I hope the rest of the world will eventually follow suit, as there's so much beauty to document in your corner of the planet!
We do and lately many us are more aware, with radicals wanting to try to take them from us just to gain more power, but then our country was created on the rights, the people being in charge and the government in servitude of the people and means of the people to defend themselves against radicals if necessary just hoping there are more people that want to keep them than be enslaved without. Wish you well.
Hey Ken, I would bet that some police watch your videos to get a lil education about the drone laws.😎
after seeing the policeman I was thinking about drinking and driving you know the way they bend down and say please can you blow into this so the question is can you drink and fly, over here you can't drink and fly because you might spill it
When you try to troll the police, and it backfires.
First of all thumbs up for Ryan, he should be a CZcams sensation... Ken you, and Billy K are my favorite bar none manual drone videographers. Always inspirational. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Glad you enjoyed it, Glenn!
Driving a Mazda RX-8 here too, so definitely enjoyed your lil intro there :D
I should move to America and retake my pilots license and really enjoy flying... in Spain you need eyes in the back of your head .... maybe one day ...the authorities will calm down and not be so paronoid about their own corruption 😂
SuperbHolidays Where exactly can you fly in Spain? I couldn’t find any regulations
Hi Kaine. Unrestricted areas is not a problem but flying over Villages or Towns is unauthorized without permission which could include having to apply to 3 different bodies....Local TownHall.....AESA ...Military body. We operate through a website called .......drones.enaire.es. Which we use to check unauthorized air space, controlled airspace and restricted air space ( application needed in all cases). These can take 10 days each to get permission which normally comes back as a NO NO. We have no mobile apps designed to operate in Spain and no office that would handle an application made on a phone. We are truly in the fckin dark ages in Spain. The application process usually removes the enthusiasm to do the flight and fines are uncontrolled and can be any stupid number.
Wow I can see bass pro shop in the background I’ve been there the pyramid one in Memphis minute thing was awesome
It's great to see you flying again!
This was so fun to watch. Love this drone shots. Thanks for sharing.
Dude I love your videos and your personality man. You are very cool and it just puts me in a positive mood whenninwatch your content. Keep up the good work
You're very kind, Timothy.
Thanks man!
Always great to see your videos!
Another COOL and educational video Ken! Ryan was a pretty cool contact! Great video, thanks!
This is the first video I've seen of yours. I subbed! Nice shots!
Thanks Kenny!🤓👍
I think I'm really going to enjoy your channel, Ken. Cheers!
Thank you Don!
Thanks Ken. I always liked explore vids.
Hey Ken thanks for teaching us how to be safe and how to use the drone properly in different scenarios. I love your videos and just to add something about cops, I was setting up my inspire1 to fly it at Palm Beach Island which is an Island for wealthy people, I already had checked the air space and everything was a "go" when a cop approached me and asked me what I was trying to accomplish, because people call the police around here on droners, so I told him that I wanted to film some scenery right next to the ocean, while I was talking at the same time showing him my FAA registration and whatnot, when he replied: Ok, just fly I will go away, hopefully no body would call on you, have fun, by the way I fly drones too. And then he drove off. I gave my wife a look who was serving as a spotter at the time, totally speechless because I was expecting a scolding instead a "have fun".
That's great!
People are slowly warming up to the fact that drones are here to stay. 👍
Very Cool Flight, Ken! Thanks again for another fun exploration flight around your neck of the woods. BUT, in this case, your neck of the woods was a crumbling concrete building, LOL! I WAS waiting for you to fly through one of the broken windows. I was hoping to see the inside of that ole restaurant, now that would have been over the top! Thanks again, Ken, looking forward to seeing you again at SPINUP, take care!
Great agken Ken. Loved the part with the cop...Just shows you, one can NEVER tell......
nice show thanks, Vancouver used to have 2-3 of these buildings
Love your style and so positive so many videos make drone flying a scary pastime from a legal point of view but in the end just like Ryan most are all OK with it . I have the necessary docs license /insurance never had a problem
Ohhhh my gosh this looks incredible!!! I need to get what you have so I can fly in my city in downtown when ever I want lol I love this video so much man!
What a nice guy the cop was Ken,as always Ken inspired by your videos, content and your A lister humour Ken awesome,,,,keep em comin , b and bye from England 😄

Hi Ken, I just wanted to thank you for being such a cool guy. I love watching your videos, they are very entertaining, knowledgeable and just fun to watch. Thanks again, My friend.
Thanks so much Adam. Glad you're enjoying the channel.
Really good video. I find it instructional on how to drone the right legal way. Thanks
So much good info in one video, thank you for sharing all of the app names etc. that you use. Incredibly helpful, I am just getting started in all this, I do not want to be "that" guy that screws it for all of us. Knowing the rules and grey areas is a good thing ... nice vid what a beautiful day for film.
Nice to see a flying video video Ken, really nice 👍
Great flight Ken I enjoyed the close up Cheers mate
What a great, unexpected beginning to the video! Too funny!
You are cool I love your video this is the first time watching you earned a new subscriber
Hi Ken, You have similar rules in the US as we do in Canada. It is good to know, so If I travel down there and want to fly, then I will know what to expect. You guys make a great team, and your flying skills are top notch! You had some smooth captures of the building! Happy Droning!
Awesome video Ken!
Awesome video brother great job flying safely in a busy downtown area ✌🏼
Youre wild ken. God bless you sir i enjoy every video you put out for us thank you
Thank you for explaining everything! New subscriber!
Great video. I really enjoyed your filming
Another great video with superb aerials, thanks Ken.
Thanks Steve!
THAT was THE best cop drone encounter hands down!!
That’s hysterical! Thanks for sharing! #KeepItUp
Hey Ken I know with your schedule it's hard to do videos flying different places... But seriously I started watching you because of your flying videos. I totally get the point that your live stream brings in the views and $$$, but your traveling vlog's along with your camera drone videos are your true money makers... A true subscriber for 2 years now, I'm just saying.
Thanks!
I'm trying to do more of them. 🤓👍
I have to say, thee hast drone balls. Those interior shots are amazing.
Wow quite a sight, and great information... wild that the tallest building around is abandoned, condemned but for good reason. Thanks for Sharing this.
You bet.
Love the Marvin the Martian profile pic! Are you going to blow up the EARTH?! 😜
Great video, gosh, I guess you can't go anywhere without being known, thanks for sharing
Cool footage Ken. Great flying. Cheers. :)
You provide what I shan’t to see (and do). Thank!
Out of the park again Ken👍🏾😎👍🏾
Zoom, zoom! Nice video on Memphis history. Amazing the building is vacant after all that work.
Great video . So cool the policeman knew who you were !!
This was an awesome vid all around once again, Thanks Ken.
Too cool!!
Great video Ken, helped me understand how to fly in a city around tall structures.
Glad to help!
Just found you and your videos. Very helpful for a beginner. Thanks
Glad to help!
Thumbs up immediately upon seeing you driving a manual RX8!
ZOOM-ZOOM!!🤓👍
Another great"training" video Ken. Thank you. My local airport hasn't instituted the automated authorization as of yet however the grids are all on-air map and it says it's coming soon. Boy is that going to be nice!
It's getting easier to get approval every day. 🤓👍
