- Eclipse Repino is all about fine-dining, locality, and best wines. In this video, you will see a new 15-course full-tasting menu that we tried during our last trip to St-Petersburg, Russia.
Price: 9-course tasting menu - €110 per person.
“Each menu is a new challenge, a new expression, and a search for new meanings. The team and I agreed that we will change the menu four times a year, is tied not to the calendar, but to the season” - says chef Sergey Fokin.
I think this is my favourite one so far for the quality and simplicity of the ingredients shine rather than focussing on fancy presentation I will add St. Petersburg to my next bucket list travel experience
It's a great idea
You are now one of my favorite channels .. It's nice that it can show the difference between who prepares food and a Restaurant.
Thank you
Thank you for your feedback! That’s the idea- toshow both sides!
Interesting choice in form of playing. A variety of simplicity and extravagance. Great video.
every dish here is flavours that i love, gotta go here. very amazing looking menu. great execution
Right progression and portions. Excellent ingredients and presentation.
This food looks amazing.
Excellent combinations using great pairs mgs but then sauces as flakes or powder always tweaking it to the next levels
Looked delicious and top of the arts
Smart use of the principle of reciprocity to give your customer coins, they will then feel obliged to give you coins back (tip more money)
I can visit Russia just to have this. My goodness.
Wauv, the food and presentation was excellent 👌
Love your videos, food looks so yummy😁
amazing... just amazing
Hope you safe until this pandemic ends. Thanks for the video
Thank you for your support
now i havent been here, but this one looks like it can pass for 2-3 stars. the dishes look absolutely amazing with deep flavors. that venison looks absolutely sublime. ive never seen a piece of meat look so tender, red, and delicious. came back here to see that venison. @ 3:20
also the desert at 4:42 looks just as great.
I love them.
Love this type of video
Thanks!
Amazing, this has got to be in my bucket list before i die
This one is great, yes
Love the videos guys and great to see you back doing what you love. It would be great if you could take a few moments between courses to blend in some music, and /or some shots of you guys enjoying the experience. It would make it feel less rushed and more indulgent! Anyway, thanks for a great vid
Also, really love how they gave you the coins to redeem or keep. A lovely experiential touch.
Thank you Matt for your kind feedback. Will think about this!
Love from the Philippines!
Dishes looked amazing. I hope that they can stay in business.....
I love the attention to small details this place give to presentation!
I really love the concept of the coin tbh
Das some marketing hype right there
Not alot of fancy garnishes here just the good food .
I agree
I love the closed caption text around 1:20 with the "morons shrimp" and then the Mormons with the fishes. LOL Then at about 3:20 they serve the "main curse" ! And, of course, don't forget the "degradation" of Russian cheeses at 3:51.
I really recommend this restaurant..why?because they serve lot amuse bouch..
wow i am extremely interested to know what field of work you guys are in that allows you to afford these uber expensive tasting menus multiple times a week, whatever it is im switching my career path to that, love your videos.
Gastromony - This is our work and passion. Writing about food and travel for more than 10 years. Some time ago we decided to film our experience aswell
@@EliteLife all i can say is my envy is immeasurable, anyhow, love your videos, ciao!
@@ananddeeznutzjohncena1711 thank you!
I'm surprised that Michelin only decided to look at Moscow when it released its first guide in Russia just a month or so ago. If Eclipse is even a small indication of what St. Petersburg has to offer, then I imagine there are more than just a few Michelin Stars to be distributed there, starting with one or maybe even two for Eclipse. One thing I love about this menu is the use of fresh-fruit-based acidity, from the beetroot and pear concoction served with the amuse-bouche to the marinated apple and herring combination, the latter looking truly delicious!!! What was your favorite course?
The whole stoty was interesting. Scallop was really nice. By the way, you can look other st-Petersburg restaurants: we filmed there: Birch, Harvest, Commons. All videos are uploaded on our channel
Does he say the dipping oil is flavored with cannabis seeds at 1:08?
Elite life ❤️😍🌹😎
finally a english version, like the content but hate the freaking camera actions. This is not transformers...
cohesion is missing on the plate....
that venison does look amazing. but why the lone baked carrot in middle?
Chef’s vision
Staff from Russian 🇷🇺😂🪆русские везде💪🏼
Ресторан тоже русский. Он в Петербурге
Is the audio weird only for me?
😍🍷👍🏻
1:08 .... Did he just say what I think he said? CANNABIS seeds?
Yes. Exactly that
it works based on laws of physics.
Cannabis?
i need a sugar daddy just so i can travel and eat good foods like this
Who came here to watch foods that we won’t get to eat?
Millions of our fans;)
Молодцы русские, флаг вам в руки и вперед с песней "Широко страна моя родная"
Better to give more screen time to the food and less on the person who talks
Brazilian food rodizio (Fogo de Chão, Texas de Brazil) are much better than these empty dishes 🤭😂😂
