    Am glad you approved them. Just installed these on my Dewalt 788 . With shipping,, $96,, but worthy of the upgrade for the DeWalt i guess

    Great video! Seriously considering the upgrade. I too would be interested in the 3D printed scroll saw alignment tool. Looking forward to your next project. :)

    I will look forward to your review in a couple of months. I use mostly #3 Modified Geometry Pegas blades and have been very happy although there was a period of time when they were backordered.

      Thanks Pat ! so good so far with the new clamps, and I have never used the modified geometry blades

    The early Pegas clamp for the DeWalt type saws came with a tension lever. This meant two tension levers to adjust. It appears that the tension lever on the new clamps has been eliminated. Also give the Pegas Modified Geometry blades a try. They are sharp and cut straight.

      Thanks, I was curious about the tension lever of the early pegas blade chucks

    Hi AP
    Where do I get plans for 3d printer?

    Thanks for the info, I'm eyeing the kit up for my new-to-me Dewalt. Question you ya. When I tighten the Dewalt chucks, the knob/studs seem to grab the blade and tweak it out of plumb unless I use my other hand to keep it straight until tight. Is this normal? Does the Pegas chuck fix this? Thanks for helping if you can.

    • @ArtisanPirate
      @ArtisanPirate  Před měsícem +1

      Hey, usually it does take both hands to tighten the screw down on the blade

    Where can the Scrollsaw alignment tool be purchased? If you made it yourself I would be interested in buying one from you. It looked like a very interesting tool.

    Would the "Pagas Blade Chucks" work for using a "jeweler's" metal cutting saw blade on a scroll saw?

    • @ArtisanPirate
      @ArtisanPirate  Před rokem +1

      Yes, if you have a scroll saw compatible with the blade chucks

    hey tyler i know this is an older video but i just got mine in the mail. when adjusting the set screws are they supposed to align in the middle?

    • @ArtisanPirate
      @ArtisanPirate  Před 11 měsíci +1

      They are for dialing in the blade alignment and making sure your blade is perfectly square to the table. I had to keep tweaking mine and doing tests cuts until I was perfectly square

    Great video. do you think the Pegas clamp set is worth the $80 price tag on a new saw (not actually needing new heads)? thanks and great job!

    Thankyou very much for this video! I have the DW788 and I have wondered about the Pegas blade chucks. I was hoping the quality would be better being Swiss. I'm glad you showed the process in changing to them. Where did you get that blue blade square? I have never seen one like that. Thanks again! Take care!
