What a woman! One doesn't need to be a surfer to admire Bethany for her strength, will power, passion and dedication. Seeing what she was able to accomplish kinda gives you a feeling of "everything is possible". Thanks for the huge inspiration!!!

See....I don't understand why she gives God the glory. God ALLOWED her to lose her arm. Now she's just picking up the remaining pieces of her life. I don't get it.
@@raephaelemasirnille5794 Very true that God allowed her to lose the arm. However, thourghout our lives it's not about what happens to us but what we do with those events. She lost her arm and decided God had a plan. He always does. "For I know the plans for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you, not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope." The loss of the arm was just a tiny piece in a grander puzzle that brings more knowledge of Christ's love to the world the He died and rose again so that one day we could live eternally with Him in Heaven.
If Bethany never lost her arm her story would still be incredible and her strength would still exist. But with her love for the Lord and her willing for His Light to shine through her, her story is more than just a passing tale of a great surfer girl.
@@EJourdanLewis It boggles my mind that otherwise intelligent people spout and believe such nonsense. Life is random. There is no rhyme or reason to any of it. Your logic is the equivalent to having someone beat you with a stick and you thanking them for stopping short of killing you and driving you to the hospital. But I guess I get on some level why the average person needs that crutch to get through life. So glad I no longer believe in this nonsense.

Life In Italics some people have no idea god uses everything for his kingdom I love Bethany such an inspiration she touched more people with one arm then she ever would have done with two arms. Plus she found god’s purpose for her which is loving on other people
I just watched this on Netflix... absolutely incredible. Bethany is phenomenal
I saw this last night and it was even better than I expected. She came in with the director Aaron to answer questions afterwards. Awesomness all around. Thank you, thank you, thank you Bethany from a girl and her husband in row three.
I watched soul surfer when I was 6 I immediately fell in love with her story now I'm older i'm still watching stuff like this

She was on the amazing race with her husband and did very well. A true inspiration.
Beautiful surfing footage. Bethany is truly an inspiration to everyone. 2 flaws in the documentary: they never said what Bethany' s husband does for a living and she seemed displeased to be pregnant. An unplanned pregnancy is always an adjustment but every thing does not always need to be said on camera. Her son will see the documentary one day and who knows how her negative comments will make him feel.
