Writer-director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) has crafted a Little Women that draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott, and unfolds as the authorâs alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life. In Gerwigâs take, the beloved story of the March sisters - four young women each determined to live life on her own terms -- is both timeless and timely. Portraying Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth March, the film stars Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, with TimothĂ©e Chalamet as their neighbor Laurie, Laura Dern as Marmee, and Meryl Streep as Aunt March.

I was fooled and thought the Jo and Friedrich plotline was real đ I gotta say, the transition was so jarring it took me out of the story. They didnt need to make it real, but it could have been better... somehow. After all, we humans are not consistent creatures, so it was pretty believable for what it was even if Jo was adamant about not marrying in the start. That part could have been reworked, but other than that it's a lovely story, albeit quite sad.
@@superplaylists1616 It was technically real I guess? The whole film was basically Jo being the actual author of the Little Women book.
She didn't want Jo to have a love interest but was given no choice to make it happen otherwise the book would not be published, which exactly happened in the film too. So the actual storyline of the Little Women story, the whole Jo and Fedrick thing did happen. The film was just Jo telling the story she wrote in her book which is Little Women, so Fedrick and Jo didn't happen OUTSIDE the book. Heck I think Fedrick didn't even exist and was made up đ

Feminism and equality created this monster. The monster they voted for, and here we see example #704,115,006 of blaming them. Amy was told to marry to be able to support her family, and that was the truth of many women around their time. And no, women donât need to man up and get a job. For one, women could have not really done that back then, women working was not apparent at all, and even if Jo did, it was barely enough to support her family. Secondly, all people have the right to choose what they want to do in their life. Looking down on women that are housewives is just as bad as looking down on a working women. Apologies if you possibly get offended by this in any way, but your statement in my eyes was false, to each is own but that is my take one the phrase.
where can i watch it for free?
@@chooseyouruniquehandle. you speak english ?

I heart just skipped a beat Little women is one of my fave books and Timothee playing Laurie will be the death of me.
Rock amolie i agree
IKR UGHHH especially cause I know who he ends up with and it kills me
Timothee is nothing compared to Christian Bale.
I'm so happy that they put the names of the actors who played the 4 sisters before anyone else. It's the true dedication to the story
this movie is the definition of beautiful. the acting was amazing. i have never felt this touched by a movie before. i smiled from ear to ear watching those beautiful moments. they did such an amazing job. i have a new favorite movie now :)
"If I keep reading, is Beth gonna die?"
no
MSKSKDKKD JOEYYYY
It's time to put the book in the fridge!
Sorry Maelle but Beth dies, Amy marries Laurie and Jo marries Professor Behrs.
JOEY!!!!!!â€ïžâ€ïž
Just saw this movie today, this is the best film I've seen so far! Gonna rewatch this again and again and again....đ„ș
This show literally changed my life, Iâve been speechless about it since I saw it. Iâve been reading the book too
What's your thoughts on the book? I've read the book, but I haven't had the chance to eatch the movie yet.
"Women, they have minds, and they have souls, as well as just hearts. And theyâve got ambition, and theyâve got talent, as well as beauty, and Iâm so sick of people saying that love is just all a woman is fit for. Iâm so sick of it!â. I couldn't help replaying the scence over and over again
I freaking love this with all my heart
Saoirse was so pretty in that scene as well
It's gonna be tough to beat the one starring Winona Ryder but this trailer is stunning in every way. Can't wait.
Cine Fiend40 I know Iâm like ugh I already had my little women movie
Truth that movie was top noch
Yes very tough!
Well Ronan and Pugh are two of the most talented young actresses working today. So Saoirse as Joe will probably be pitch perfect!
Cine Fiend40 everyone knows what the best rendition of the story is though..........the bookđ€
In timmy's scenes, I had to rewind again to watch the other actors cause I can't see anyone else when he is in the scene. He is so gorgeous đ
Maybe not necessary to remake this yet again, but it's a beautiful film and possibly the best adaptation of them all
"I WANT TO BE GREAT, OR NOTHING" girl will always has a power đđ
@Varoon dude that's disrespectful,ur demeaning her for her belief. This is toxic feminism....
I relate to this sentiment very hard as I have OCD and I want everything to be perfect...but that doesn't happen always and sometimes I just have to accept that
Saoirsa Ronan and Emma Watson in the same film. Gotta love that. It almost happened in the Harry Potter films when Saoirsa auditioned for Luna Lovegod. She didn't get it though.
Mitchell Ries wow... I never that. Thanks for sharing this!
but our evanna Lynch is best Lunađ
She would have been a great Luna, but she was so littlr back then.
@@Oratual_ Yes, but was about to start a great career ahead of her
wow i didnt know that also i dont know any Saoirsa Ronan but she has to be great hahaha
" Women..they have minds and they have souls as well as just hearts and they've got ambition and talent as well as just beauty..and I'm so sick of people saying that love is just all a woman is fit for..I'm so sick of it" â€ïž just how Beautifully saoirse says itâ€ïž I come back again and again to listen to just this part
me: aw this seems like such a nice time period to live in!
my skin color: am i a joke to you?
The quality of the trailer seems to be early 2000s vibe.... I love it
Aaah I'm so excited
I was thinking the same thing! Iâm a fan
Do u know where tá» watch it
@@duongnguyenhahai1292 I'd love to know, sadly in my country it won't come out until Febuary T_T
Not really sure why Iâm watching the trailer after Iâve seen the movie itâs prob because I love it so much
Where did you see the movie?
@@nikolgega7634 Amazon Prime
So I've been watching this trailer so much after seeing the movie because the trailer itself is a work of art.
It's on netflix now!
Joel Iglesia is it good?
I still call her Hermione.
The Ending Scene somehow healed my broken heart watching the entire movie.
What an amazing movie..
At the start all the three girls seem so polite, and then Jo is just like "sup' dude"đđ
Now, these little women. How little are they? I mean, are they like, scary little?
âLittleâ as in age. Theyâre teenagers figuring out how to be women.
@@desertrose0601 I don't think you understand the joke đ
desertrose0601 itâs a friends reference
Hahahaha, alright dude, you got me
Beth dies?!!! ©
I absolutely love this movie! It's so iconic! I think it will have it's own place in th a history of Hollywood. The cinematography is outstanding, the story is extraordinary. I really appreciate all the afford behind the making of this. And...the costumes do deserve the Oscar.
THIS IS LITERALLY A WELL KNOWN NOVEL. All these comments are annoying AF. You're all making it obvious you don't read books.
I loved the 1994 rendition. But I have to say I found this rendition even better. It's extremely well-produced, not to mention well-acted. Really a masterpiece.
Me: How many heart broken Lauries can my heart take?
Also me: Letâs have one more. I still have Anne and Gilbert to hold on to.
The saddest scene though... Please not again đ but Iâll still watch it...
Donât let go of Shirbert
Karla Loayza Ayyyy fellow AOGG stan Shirbert for life
This comment is my spirit animal â€ïž
are we NOT gonna talk about the fact that Gilbert from Anne with an E exudes LAURIE vibes as well as TIMMIE vibes?
I thought I'd be too attached to Christian Bales Laurie, but Timothee Chalamet seems to capture the same kind of spirit, I'm excited for this
I feel the same way!
I feel like I'm going to like Timothee's more. He seems youthful and kind-hearted, broken as well. Bale's seemed a little too flirty sometimes and it didn't felt like he was suffering from a broken heart sometimes. Still Bale was a wonderful Laurie. I'm really looking forward to this movie!
And itâs TimothĂše Chalamet, so of course itâs going to be great. đđ
Omg Christian was so......breathtaking. But Iâm willing to let it go.
Tyleya yes! but somehow i feel like Laurie was nos supposed to be, or at least not with the sisters. I didn't really enjoy the way the director told the story of Laurie and Any, but that's not Bale's job. Again, he's great, but I'm really looking forward to this movie and this new Laurie is one of the main reasons why.
âOw! Joe!â
âYouâre not married Aunt M-â
âWell thatâs because Iâm rich.â
Some of my favorite moments
1:35 idk why I'm crying and touched in this part and on the part when Jo sister amy and teddy finally got home and Jo and Teddy talked about how are they and talked about "My wife" like I'm litteraly crying rn, I just want to watch this movie because emma watson is there and I'm addicted to it. I just finished watching the whole movie, but the part when teddy and amy god I really cried idk why tho, I think I feel so sorry for Jo that she's now going to tell teddy "Yes" but she didn't. If your not crying then I amđ„șđ Lol I want to make a story tho like this like her story specially that broken hearted scenes.
Yes!! Me too! In love with this movie and that scenes always break my heartđ
Idk what you guys are talking about but damn I felt that.
*_"I wish I had no heart, it aches soâ - Excerpt From Little Women, Louisa May Alcott_* one of my favourite quotes from the book! Aaaahh I can't wait for the movie!!!
But Merryl Streep,Saoirse,Emma and Timothee! This is what you called PERFECTION!
This movie is really warm you, it feels like they are the real family, the conflict is just feel so real. 10 out of 10
For me, this movie was one of the most amazing movies đđ» i laughed when they quarreled and cried when Beth died.. I felt bad for Jo when she heard Amy as Laurie's wife.. She kept writing because Beth told her not to stop writing even if i leave this world, that scene will make you cry :'( my fav character was Beth she wasn't in most of the scenes but still i loved herđ afterall movie ends happily, everyone gets everything they wanted to :) Guys you must watch this movie.. This movie deserves so much â€ïž
Yours is a sweet comment, but... I have no idea what made you think it'd be a good idea to spoiler the ENTIRE movie down to the very last detail on a TRAILER lol
I mean, Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Timothée Chalamet, Laura Dern, Meryl Streep, Louis Garrel (who i adore) and Tracy Letts. Just wow! Oscars all over. I have never been this excited about a film specially another remake.
"Joey, you wanna put the book in the freezer?"
If I continue reading, is Beth gonna die? đą
Yazmin Tineo hahaha
sharique TOO TRUE đ
sharique I think in a later book she does, but itâs been a while since I read it.
omg yes
this movie changed the trajectory of my life
