Would love if you guys could do a reaction of s2 ep 17 blue ray version, the original fight was extremely unfinished however the blu ray makes the fight look completely different with new cuts of animation.
This flashback is so interesting to me because you see Geto in 0 and he's this super wacky guy who hates non-sorcerers(and Maki) and then you see this flashback and he's this super sweet guy who believes that people who are weaker should be protected. And Gojo is this super cocky person who doesn't really care about those he considers to be weaker than him. He's pretty arrogant but he can afford to be that way because he's so strong. Their roles have essentially been reversed from how we usually see them. I love the very different start to S2.
JJK flashback arc is one of the rare flashbacks that are interesting to watch even when you know how it will all end (from 0 and S1)

It’s totally fair to draw a parallel between some stuff in jjk and chainsaw man. The mangakas for both stories are pretty open about being inspired by each other, so you’re just seeing it as it is. Two artists approaching the same concept differently is just creativity ❤
Ngl, seeing ppl get inspired by each other never bothered me. Hell i'm a sucker for fan art and fanfics (even tho i don't read them, i totally get ppl writing and reading them)
But this lvl of "i'm inspired" and drift the world and plot arround enough to make me want to speed run through those seasons are something else.
I don't care when it's "inspired" at that point, go for it authors ! You're still creative even if u get inspiration somewhere else.
Also, i always think about Elfen Lied vs Dead Man Wonderland when ppl talk about inspiration.
Yea and the infinity loop is a famous urband legend in Japan (like the nine tailed fox, catfish that causes earthquake, etc), so it will really be used by more than 1 anime.

I'm glad you guys noticed about cinematic compositional choices. The lead director of the show from season 1 and the movie left and opened his own studio. This is totally the new director and a lot of the animating staff is pretty new. That's why the art style is fluid, colours are vibrant, and the vibe is a bit unsettling (totally dig it though). This new director (called Gosso as his nick name) director the episode 8 of CSM where shit goes down and *spoilers* [Himeno Dies]. he also directed the Maki vs Mai twin sisters fight in season 1, my fav episode of s1. Hope you like the season 2.

Its actually really unique thing that never happens basically the movie was a one shot manga that got extremely popular when this happens most mangaka simply continue the story but jjks author decided to create a new story with a new mc and simply move forward a year still keeping all the movie events and characters part of the story and canon

I think this takes place 10 or 11 years before season 1? Gojo would be a second year then and he'd be like 16. A lot of people were angry when they saw that you'd be able to see gojo's eyes behind the glasses in the sneak peeks we got. And the manga has glasses are totally blacked out, they probably are still 100% black and opaque but stylistically they chose to still show his eyes through them so you can read his expressions better

I absolutely loved this arc of the anime, it's a 5 episode arc, just so you know but this is amazing and the opening won as the best opening of last year.
Gojo and Geto in this arc are 16 or 17 or something like that. I watched JJK S1 and arrived right at the beginning of this arc and starter to watch it week by week.

I'm pretty sure all Jiu-Jitsu sorcerers continue to stay affiliated with these schools after they've graduated. They get paid and stuff based off their bank and not all of them have to be faculty. That's just their choice. What Meimei was doing in season 1 was just being the one to observe the sister school event ( I don't know why they wouldn't just use cameras instead of her technique)

@@SeanTanktopno you don’t get it. The blu-ray has a massively improved fight animation. When season 2 aired originally they aired an episode with unfinished animation and the blu-ray has the finished product. There’s a huge difference.
This happens every so often with anime and a lot depending on the studio (Studio Shaft is very infamous for this, example being Madoka Magica).
@@SeanTanktop tbf I also never cared for when anime fans recommended blu-ray over what was released; 'dimming', 'ghosting', and small detail issues never bothered me in action sequences.
But with the drama of the overworked animators and the execs forcing them to push out the episodes on time, there actually was one fight that the animators called only 30% complete when it was released and it was noticeable, I found parts of it very hard to follow. This is tremendously fixed in the blu-ray.
It only matters if you care about it, with weebs saying 'blu-ray is better' for every shonen fight in the past decade, its hard to take it seriously the difference there was in this one.
If there wasn’t side by side comparisons and aut weebs weren’t so shrill about it, no one would be looking at the show and thinking it was badly animated or rendered, is all I’m saying.
Yall would not stfu about how dope incredible this season was while you watching the aired version, so I see no point.
This isn’t a directors cut deal where’s it’s a totally different work. It’s just more refined details. I’ve seen the side by sides, it’s not as monumental as you guys make it out to be.
Also, weren’t yall floored and emotionally wrecked the first the first time you watched it, why does it matter here? How much more will it make us invested or hit emotionally? Next to no difference, so chill. Plus we’ve already shot the entire Season ahead already and we didn’t order the Blus so it’s a done deal anyway and we were floored by it.

I believe they didn't do any jujutsu strolls this season because it just didn't didn't really fit in with the tone. The author did actually write some for it but they eventually just decided not to do it
