Toji's characterization is so interesting me. All of our other villains are so high energy. They're goofy, they have fun, they're over the top. Then there's Toji, this guy with a low, quiet voice, in a baggy shirt and sweat pants that eats at low cost restaurants and gambles his life away. Yet he's more intimidating for it.
I love this flashback arc because we get to see Gojo back before he was less broken. Which is funny because even without red, him and Geto are still considered to be the strongest. But the sentiment is nice.
Honestly I loved how they gave 0 fucks since they are the strongest around.
The had 0 respect for the plasma vessel or the guys going after her XD
To clarify some info regarding when the events of jjk take place:
- season 1 takes place from June to September 2018
-JJK 0 takes place from April to December 2017
- the Gojo flashbacks we are on to take Rika to Tengen takes place on the spring of 2006
Gojo's explanation is very funny 'cause he's clearly not suited for explaining it clearly, and goes off the rails, but it's just there to make it sound just as complicated as it is. His technique is based on the mathematical concept of limits, and he is constantly working out the math of it all on the fly, all the time. He acts like a himbo but his brain runs like a bloody computer.
Technically the twins and Megumi are not cousins thats his aunts 😭
All of Gojo's explanation there was actually not sci-fi BS lol. It was all real mathematical concepts. His entire power is based on the real mathematical concept of infinity. His ability makes the concept of infinity "real" basically and manipulates it. That's pretty much all you need to know on a very simple level.
i love than in the last episode toji was like "i'm not ze'nin anymore i took my WIFE'S name fushiguro" and they like hmm i wonder if that's like his brother or cousin? and i'm like wow i didn't know that if my brother marries and takes his wife's name then i also have to change it 🤣
Ooohhhh man, this season just gets better and better! I didnt appreciate the flashback my first time through nearly as much as i should have. It is so dang necessary!

A reminder, Gojo processes anything and everything like a super computer thanks to the the technique in his eyes and brain called 'the six eyes'. His glasses are as dark as his blindfold, he pretty much has xray vision.
The glasses aren’t as dark as the blindfold since you can clearly see his eyes through the glasses but the blindfold is completely blacked out

"Gojo wears glasses to dampen the strain of the visual information his Six Eyes ability allows him to process. His Six Eyes is a cursed technique that allows him to see cursed energy in great detail. This high vision causes him to feel tired easily if he doesn't wear a blindfold. When people wear Gojo's sunglasses, they see nothing but black darkness.
Gojo wears sunglasses or a blindfold all the time, except when he needs to use his full powers. He can see through his eye coverings and clearly see things kilometers away. He can also see non-cursed objects through his eye coverings."

Getting to know Geto in this arc is both sad yet enjoyable for me

3:09 just wanna mention both James McAvoy and Satoru Gojo have The Bluest Eyes to ever Blue. Gojo is a bishonen, and James in his 20s was heeella pretty.
Just want to share, I read a fair amount of sub's for animes but I gotta say JJK's subtitles go wayyy fast at times. Sometimes, you just gotta with the vibe of things to understand what was being talked about, err, just follow context clues I guess =P (Most of the time, they explain important plot points different ways and through different characters, if they're not just making a joke about something)
That's why it doesn't help that JJK for better or worse likes to be the type of anime that's like, "hehh we'll keep plot details vague so we can be edgy/cool".
So, it leaves you wondering if things were explained properly or not.
So yes, I can say sometimes they leave things vague just for that douchey, "heh I'm an edgy anime-factor."... which I have to admit sorta works for them 😂so I have to give credit where it's due. They know how to execute it. Especially in later episodes.
Obviously it'd be a lot easier for us to follow their "cool-show facade"if we spoke/read Japanese, but here we are having to read subs. 😭
What also throws a wrench into JJK's story telling is that they'll establish a completely cool villain, VERY cool design, cool intro to that villain, and then COMPLETELY trash the character in order to have them be defeated by our villains. (Eg. Gojo vs. the Star Religious Groups/Q Groups Facemask Guys/ Also the maid girls recovery was done in a slideshow type of storytelling) 😂
It's just JJK's style I suppose..
