  • Water Stories Core Course students Tomás García and Francisco Fuenzalida of Centro de Estudios AguaTierra regeneracionaguatierra.cl/ share their experiences and successes implementing water cycle restoration in Chile. AguaTierra specializes in creating nature-aligned landscapes, combining the decentralized water retention approach of Sepp Holzer with the Syntropic Agriculture approach of Ernst Gotsch. They address complex socioeconomic and environmental challenges by working with communities to improve their relationship with their lands and ecosystems.
During the session, Tomás and Francisco share their experiences in designing regenerative water harvesting systems, providing a practical view of some of the possibilities in this field. They are an excellent example of the kinds of things that a water cycle restoration practitioner can accomplish through the course and afterwards - and the changes that can be created as a result.
