An alle die hier gelandet sind weil eine rhino hatten mit Korrektur und heulen weil die Nase schief aussieht wegen der Schwellung.. Ich bin jetzt 3wochen Post op.. Die beste Methode zu tapen.. Ich kann es euch allen empfehlen. Ich habe es nur einmal gemacht und diese Art war die beste.. Ich muss immer wieder in den Spiegel gucken weil ich mich gerne sehe

What if one doesn’t want the tip of his/her nose be uplifted and project at a 90 degree angle?
Follow the instruction of your surgeon. This wont change the shape of your nose it is only meant to keep it from swelling too much.

How do you remove the tape without pulling the skin? Pulling the skin will just cause more swelling so defeats the purpose of taping?
I personally used smthng called detachal, it makes it go off fairly easy. I guess every cleansing oil would work
do it very slowly. and most doctors provide the patient with something to help with removing it.
wet the edges and gently peel that edge up when its soft enough
Will taping after 1 year still work? My surgeon never instructed me to tape my nose or to massage and I can still see the impressions on my nose after 1 year.

I just had my surgery two days ago and my nose is taped SO high. The tip is like at a 45° angle upward. It's not just supported it's lifted to a freakish shape. My Dr keeps reassuring me it's intentionally done like that and that it is going to come down into perfect shape over the next few weeks after everything is removed but I'm so nervous that it's going to heal in this pig snout position in the meantime. Every video I've watched the tape isn't pulling the tip up to the degree mine is. Should I be worried?

Thank You. I've had 5 septoplasty with partial rhinoplasty and I can barely breathe and the shape of my nose is all over the place & awful. I need another surgery, of course, and the cartilage in my nose is shifting.. so I trying to tape since I have to still wait several more months for the next surgery.
How long do you recommend taping your nose for after rhino? I am on my second rhino plasty and am greek italian with thicker skin. It is almost 12 weeks and I still tape everynight. I feel like my final result is showing more and don't know how much longer I should tape. I've heard 2-3 months. My doctor doesn't believe in taping, but I feel it is working. Does it really reshape the nose and would taping long term for up to the whole year of healing give optimal results? I'm willing to do whatever it takes, but don't want to waste my time taping if nothing will change. Thanks
Taping can not reshape the nose since the nose shape is dependant on the cartledge and bone. Nose taping only helps limit post op swelling which can become permanent in thick skinned patients because scar tissue begins to form causing the nose to look less defined.
Studies have been done that show that this has no to little effect on normal skinned people and results only appear to be present with patients with thick skin.
ET T How do you know whether you have thick skin or thin skin?
If you can see the tip of your nose really defined in the mirror then you have thin skin, if you can't really make out the sharp or cartilage edges then you have thicker skin.
Basically how defined the tip of your nose is.
thats a rough estimate.
it's best to see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon, they can tell right away.
The majority of ethnic and hispanic people will have thick skin.
But Caucasians can have thick skin too.

i would wake 6-8 months. Honestly, i would wait 1 year.
this is because when you remove tape or sticky stuff from your nose, it can pull the skin up from the bone and cause fluid and more swelling thus more scar tissue and less defined.
So you have to be really careful. Wait 1 year.
i think 6 months it s enough but better u should ask your doctor. mine recommended after 2 weeks peel off mask, but that mask it s not harmful at all.
@@mihaeladragne4443 Yeah, its just that when you pull this stuff off your skin, it lifts the skin off away from the bone and will cause even more swelling and if you do this regularly then scar tissue can build up. I would wait a few months.
