- I had an idea to add simian spirit guide to push the speed of dredge a little bit. Lets see how it goes!

I find your matches against fams so funny, like you know the deck so much better than them that you know you could be dead right on the spot and they just draw pass like the deck doesn’t do anything 😂
“I drew so many cards!!! How come I couldn’t find the one card that wins the match?! Where’s jace?”
I got really lucky because I was pretty sure they couldn't counter a hard cast giant. They probably could have been able to gain life to get out of range but really they got quite unlucky!
@@kalikaizI think they played quite poorly to get into that spot
I'm glad this deck got some new pieces recently to make it a competitive option, I think it's a pretty interesting deck and I like the spirit guide! I just cannot believe how many lands were boomeranged, that was wild, I've actually never seen someone boomerang a land without knowing what game the other person is playing
My opponent came to boomerang me and boomerang me they did 😂
DREDGE LETS GOOOO!!! I play 13 lands no guides can't wait to see how this list plays out for you
Guides? It went well!
@@kalikaiz yeah i just meant i had similar land count but i don't play simian spirit guides. Was excited to see how those impacted your play patterns.
I love this deck! Got 6th place with it in a big in-person event last weekend. This Simian guide build sounds sweet, will test it out.
Also, do you think Malevolent Rumble from MH3 will see play? For me it is the best of simian and satyr in one package
I could see people playing that. It might water down your creature count though
Is there a reason I'm missing for sacrificing Stinky to Annihilator and not just blocking and killing the crusher with it?
This is a good point 🤣
Do you think having access to cards like rust in the sideboard would make this deck better in paper?
Yeah probably but I haven't ever used the card
Nah, you just want to learn to play around relic and spellbomb instead of trying to counter their activation. Grudge is the much better option overall.
@@pietroventuroli5091 but a good player never jams grave hate on turn 1 hahahaha by the time they play it and you can remove it, you’re game plan is completely ruined (provided your opponent has a brain) I play both sides of the mu so I know XD
@@vladdogarel263 You just play around graveyard hate from the get-go. Keep in mind that they'll have it, likely before turn 4-5, so you mill yourself enough to force them to pop it, but not enough to just get knocked out when it happens.
Also, hold something in hand to do immediately after (another 2-drop, or a doggo + imp combination)
There will definitely be times where they draw the right mixture of hate and pressure, and your deck is going to crumble, but it is what it is. In my experience with the deck your opponent needs both at the same time to have a shot.
24:55 you can kill him, just make exhume to 9 damage, and after use dredge to make 11 damage
so i'm seeing a line of exhume a mutt, discard an imp, then dread return. THat would have been amazing!
Damn, that's exactsies. Good catch.
@@kalikaizthat’s not 100% win tho. What the commenter here is suggesting (and is guaranteed lethal) is:
Cast Exhume, bring back Lotleth, deal 9
Sac Lotleth + 2 Green guys in play, Dread Return other Lotleth, deal 11
Is Coffin Purge better than Rotten Reunion?
Being one Mana seems to be useful. But maybe rotten reunion is better here to put more creatures and be able to dread return
#stilllistening the ape looks great in the list, circle of the land druid also makes a lot of sense. so far my favourite dredge list
Thank you! I think I want to fit another acorn harvest somewhere
I feel like Simian has the ability to be good early game but just becomes a dead card after turn four. If it didn't get exiled and contributed to your graveyard count I think it would be a decent card for this build. I think you might have a faster play with having 3 Acorn, 4 Giant, and swapping some of your simian guides out for faithless looting mainboard. Having the combo ready is more important then getting lucky. The only deck I've struggled against with dredge is elves and whish I got to see you play that.
Yeah I think you are probably a huge underdog to elves. They push power out crazy fast!
After watch the gameplay I immediately make this list and went to play, and after a few matches i swapped Gnaw to The Bone for Faithless Looting. Seems reasonable for me.
I think gnaw is just a meta call. Looting seems decent though
Might as well try this out.😅
I feel like it was decent tbh!
Hmm deck looked great tho dont know whether playing spirit guides is correct seemed a bit clunky
It's tough to say. A few times it was good
Why simian spirit guide over lotus petal?
Never mind am dumb, milled simians count toward giant and gnaw
because it counts for the giant
Well well well when kirb won’t deliver someone else will a true man of the people.
Felt good to be successful with my own tweak
Can we talk about how this deck is going to be murdered by Thraben Charm??
Yeah that will be a huge problem
This is completely untested, but how annoying could a list like this be? Inspired by that dude playing boomerang, and wondering why stack to the deck effects don’t see play. In yu gi oh they’re kinda busted but thats because creatures over there and basically sacrifice lands here so when you bounce a guy you also bounce all their resources spent to get him out
Also lost hours was a card I hadn’t seen since scryfalling for top of the deck effects and it honestly seems really good to me outside of the gimmick
4x lost hours
4x lapse of certainty
4x excommunicate
4x chittering rats
4x thraben inspector
4x novice inspector
4x kor skyfisher
4x cast down
3x prismatic strands
3x goliath paladin
1x omen of the dead
Seems mean!

Thanks!
Really bad simian imho
I guess the deck is just so strong it didn't matter haha
