I just wanted to share a problem-solving experience. I and other members had posted comments/questions here regarding the problem of not being able to BACK UP due to the frequent restarting, leading to not being able to do DFU Restore. After visiting the Apple Service Center and still not being able to resolve, I tried and figured a way that would work, if the back up you want is mainly for PHOTOS AND VIDEOS ( I had around 150 GB photos of my baby) , and you don't much care about other stuff. There is this great app called IMAGE CAPTURE in mac, that we can use to transfer photos/videos from iphone to other devices. It even can automatically delete photos from iphone once they are transferred. This way, even if the iphone would restart, we can clearly see what images have already been transferred, and can start the process again for the remaining photos. This can take a bit of time, but is far better than just erasing all photos and not being able to save them. After transferring all my photos to External Hard Drive, I did the DFU restore, and yesss, my iphone Xs Max worked perfectly well. It was a great relief!!!! Hope this sharing could be hepful.
Hey, Good evening My phone currently dropped in the toilet. However, I had retrieved it and took it to the phone technician which he did state it needs a new battery, new LCD Screen and a new power button. I haven't been paid as yet because I work government so I took the phone back until I am able to do so, but it's back on now and the phone randomly shut off and on and also is over heating and the sim card is now stating no service but when I use it in another phone it work is this an internal issue with the iPhone that it's not working in my iphone slot that why it's refusing to update now and requesting internet? @PayetteForward
well, it wasnt a sim card issue, just figured that out. the biggest problem is that my phone is restarting so frequently that i have no time to go into my phone and try these things out. for anyone else that is having the problems im having, though, try and put your phone in the fridge for a little bit or the freezer for like a minute and that typically helps the battery cool down. in my experience it gives me about 5 more minutes to be able to use my phone. thank you for these tips though! i am probably just gonna get my battery replaced cause i have a feeling its a water damage issue
it has to be water damage because my shitty phone does the same exact thing. it doesn’t even stay on long enough for me to resolve the issue with any of these solutions. but it’s redundant because if i go check my battery health it’s literally at 89% so why is it lying😐
@@jaylena1197 unfortunately i haven’t had the chance to get it checked out. i eventually just got a new phone. i still have that one though, & it STILL does the same thing. i’m certain it’s water damage tho, i did get water in the phone.
the only tech fixing channel i know, the sim trick worked and now i can finally use my iphone xr, i'll have to install ios 16.4 to avoid this in the future though. thank you for fixing my problem!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! The sim trick worked. Totally didn't expect it. My earring back wasn't working for me and I almost quit, but my friend got it for me. SO happy! Deleting a bunch of things and upgrading now!
@@magalielukanga5153 the sim trick always work for me here's what I did: 1. remove sim card 2. force restart iPhone. 3. when you force restart iPhone, the apple logo will disappear for few seconds then pops up again (bc it's a restart). keep holding the power button until the apple logo (that appeared for the 2nd time) completely disappears. that means your phone is now shut down and not just restart. 4. i'd leave my phone rest just like that for many hours. probably around 7-10 hours. i know it's too long but I think it refreshes my phone and cleans unnecessary data so it frees up a little more space. 5. after that your phone should open already but not guaranteed that it'll stop from crashing again. i think my phone's issue is the storage so I'm not sure if it'll work for anyone. if it's more serious than that then you should probably get it fixed.
@@carlandrewfranco3266 i bought icloud+ 200gb and it doesn’t bootloop anymore. one time it did bootloop due to my phone being so hot and overused. i did the same exact trick. force restarting it until it completely shuts down, then letting it cool off for around 5 hours.

Try this might help; Shut down first then remove the sim tray blow inside as long as the dirt is gone and put the sim tray again without the sim card and do the force restart charge your phone and update your phone quickly
These guys are the best! Only time I (a nobody) have said turn on notifications BECAUSE they keep you up to date on phone changes/issues after updates. Thanks guys

Did everything still not fixed, whenever I try to charge my iphone it gets powered off (on lock screen) all by itself and doesn’t turn on but when I remove my cable from the port it gets powered on all by itself. @@matt-md2zt i called apple support and they showed me what to do so i had to connect my phone to my laptop, so i can back it up, then fully reset like it’s a new phone. waited an hour for it to fully come back, all the data and stuff from the back up and now my phone is fine

my iPhone 12 Pro which is just over a year old (and 4 months out of warranty) out of no where just started freezing and rebooting itself like every 40 minutes. Apple ran a test on it and its an hardware issue and charging an absolute bomb to fix this. I don't wish this situation on any apple users, its so unfair... like I've looked after my phone so well and something just goes wrong inside it?? which isn't my fault??? that I have to pay for????

I got this problem and I tried force restart and after some time it restarted however after a few minutes of using it went to boot loop again so I paid some tool and try to fix my phone however when it reach 14% the phone started to disconnect the computer then reconnect recovery mode it keeps like that few times then it said it failed to fix.
@samita7370 yes it was main board issue , I have to give to the best review mechanic in my place and they have to fix it 3 times cause after they fix it after few days or even almost a month the issue came back but look like no more issue now.

my iphone keeps reseting so i dont have enought time to update?
most of these solutions don't work, how can i update, backup, or execute any function when my phone restarts every 4 mins?? it interrupts all of those commands.

I have an 11 pro max and the screen keeps freezing. I have to reset every time it happens (at least 15 to 20 times per day) I already updated the software. So at this point I don’t know what to do. I guess get a new phone unfortunately 🥲 I have had this phone for like 10 to 11 months.
When this happened to me my battery was 10 I plugged it in turned it on and it was at 27 in a couple secs
The guy at apple said it’s a hardware problem and can’t be fixed unless I buy a mew phone, I tried everything nothing is working my iphone keeps restarting over and over and it is new

no luck, I have been trying for 3 days now, the restarting won"t let it finish the backup, and I am risking losing all the data.

@MRAFTW I had to just go to apple and get a replacement. They said they weren’t able to tell me the problem because they counted figure it out either

I replaced it and now it is freezing then it restarting .when it freeze it doesn’t respond on the screen the power button or the up and down volume button then shortly it goes dark then start up it does that after minutes like 20 of use . What could be a fault

It seems as though the icons want to act like I'm deleting them just by licking the phone up from the edges at times. I'm not pressing on the screen with any pressure either. Any clues about this????

Shut down first then remove the sim tray blow inside as long as the dirt is gone and put the sim tray again without the sim card and do the force restart update your phone quickly
My iCloud does not remember my password so I can’t install or re install an app? Ever heard of this?

@samita7370 yes! after a few tries it finally worked . turns out you just have to have patience lol
even crashes when i am trying to update ios, rebooting also did not help, battery health is 74%.

if you had water damage, you proably have to replace the front camera at a repair shop. that fixed this issue for me
i got the water damage cleaned inside the phone and got a new screen $150 . then i started having the reeboting screen issue. turns out i had to replace the front camera.
+30$ to replace front camera, 180$ total.
