Fortunately, the hiring of GM Sean Marks have overhauled their roster, which ultimately allowed them to be in position to sign Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant and eventually trade for James Harden.

@@uriengill Their ANCIENT BIG 3! How unbelievably stupid Billy King was to think getting 3 players 35+ was worth trading as many 1st round picks with NO protection not even top 3! If that wasn't enough it also included a swap in 2017 which ended up giving the Celtics the #1 pick. If the Celtics had been able to win that year they would have set even greater history!

I’ve been a nets fan ever since they first came to Brooklyn. I remember we had broly Lopez, joe Johnson and deron Williams. Really wish Williams hadn’t gotten so injured. I remember marshon brooks as well. I loved those joe Johnson clutch shots. When we had traded for Paul pierce and Garnett I honestly felt it was so stupid man. They were so old and should’ve been reserve players. Once we got players like dlo, Levert, Allen, joe Harris and dinwiddie. I saw them all grow into solid players. Dinwiddie becoming a sixth man and near all star level, dlo becoming our all star, Harris becoming an amazing 3pt shooter and adding to his skillset, levert being solid and slowly but surely growing and now arguably all star tier. Lastly Jarrett Allen becoming one of the best rim protectors in the league man I miss the fro being here. We became such a livid team with a great young core and great development staff. That bench dance was sooo dope. We were growing and growing and getting there. Then we got Kyrie and Kd. WE MADE IT WE ACTUALLY MADE IT TO GREATNESS AND WE STILL HAD OUR CORE! Kyrie is my favorite point guard and I’ve been watching him since he first got drafted. Yes we had to wait a while to get our true potential till the next season. Then came this season, got Steve Nash, up and down season and then we got harden and my lord it was crazy. Now we here and for those who been waiting for this we deserve this and Sean marks is such a great gm man god bless him. I know the boys across the bay talk about us but they don’t understand how we actually got to this point. We got a team and we got fighters, yes a superteam. But we built ourselves to get to a point like this. We must win and we deserve all this. To the true nets fans. BROOOKLYNNNNNN. Let’s get the job done yall.

3 UNPROTECTED draft picks traded and up to 3 pick swaps (2021 won't be swapped), did the Nets NOT learn from the disgraceful trade of 2013?
That's up to 6 years out of 13 with NO FIRST round picks (as they did not trade for any pick in 2014/16/18).
Harden's contract ends next year so he could be gone right before the 1st payment (2022 1st round pick) even happens and even if he gets extended I doubt it will be for more than 2 years so 2 picks and possibly 2 swaps will happen after he's left!

I think they are more than capable of winning a title but the one problem that bugs me is who takes that last shot in the 4th? KD? Kyrie? Harden? They all want the ball but they definitely have the best team in the Eastern Conference by far ON PAPER but I hope they go to the Finals and don't fall apart.

After Harden got traded to the Sixers, the nets honestly gave up too much for Harden. They gave up 7 frps and Jarret Allen an all star this year and LeVert a promising young player. The flipped harden for Simmons drummond curry and 2 frps. I know Simmons is an Allstar and a top defensive player but God damn nets shoulda just saved their assets to begin with.
