I think the suspension is what screams out amazing. It’s really top notch. I’ve used my wire wheel 950S on all types of road and it’s a great all rounder with good fuel economy and comfort. As much as I’d like a Desert X the Multistrada is the better bike.

@@michael-masi-2021 the Desert X is pretty good, I've ridden one. It feels a lot like my tenere 700 but higher spec. So much praise for the Skyhook Suspension, but if you are north of 200 lbs., it is drastically under sprung and out of it's depth. This, in it's self is not the problem. The problem is that there is no aftermarket or factory support to rework the suspension if you plan to carry a passenger, heavy luggage, or you are a bigger person. I've been trying to find a solution for the better part of a year, for my 2020 950S Spoked model. Otherwise, it's brilliant! I just wish it had a bit more off road prowess. I suppose this is why Chris made no mention of taking it on a dirt road...

Interesting observation about the engine characteristics, especially considering the 3 cylinder competition from Yamaha, Triumph & MV. Rode three Ducati’s at SMC Sheffields demo day and the V2 S was first.
Having ridden my Honda CBR650R up there despite more power (slightly) and huge all day comfort etc I was left a bit underwhelmed and not excited by this bike!
Wouldn’t swap the Honda for this. The next bike the Panigale V2 however…. What a machine, what a weapon!
Even the dealer mistakenly handing me the bike in Race mode (didn’t get the time to run through the menus till I was riding and noticed) what a weapon but what a gorgeous thing!

I think your comment on the V2S not giving what you ask for out of the throttle is very subjective. Prior to owning my Multi V2S I owned a Streetfighter V4S, Pikes Peak V4 and Diavel V4. Granted the V4 has a substantial more amount of HP, I never feel like the throttle isn't giving me enough on the V2. Plenty of power and torque in every gear IMO. The V2 is thinner and lighter than the Pikes Peak and turns in easier as well. For me this bike does everything well, including some off road fire trails. I added the spoked wheels to make it a little more off road capable.
