Miles Edgeworth I really doubt he orchestrated this mainly, he probably just signed it off because Star Wars was Lucas arts property at the time so that was standard practice with anything Star Wars being made. Either way this never became a thing which tells me he or somebody else didn’t want it to be a thing.

That part with loud music and dancing was pretty tight. These characters aren't always serious, they like to let loose from time to time, pop a weed or two, etc. Seems like a chill crew and I want to watch them enjoy themselves.
I thought a few of the gags were cute, but the rest was wholesale painful
The matte painting one I predicted and cheered when they actually did it. That was the biggest smile I had watching this.
Friendly reminder that this was OFFICIALLY SANCTIONED by Lucasfilm; its cancellation was probably the best outcome we got as a result of the Disney buyout.

I’ve never really cared for Star War and I’ve thought this for years.
It was a very influential movie in the 70’s, well before many of us online were alive, and then a good trilogy... and then nothing.
And if you’re not nostalgic for it in any way, then it kinda doesn’t really make much of an impression.
Honestly the best thing Star Wars has brought about are the LEGO sets. You don’t even have to care about the IP to have thought those were cool af.

Honestly, "old ben ben needs grocery money" is the only line in this entire thing that gave me a legitimate tiny chuckle.
Credit where it's due: the matte painting chasm joke was good. It felt like it was straight out of Spaceballs or some other competent comedy. The rest of the trailer was trash, but that one joke was pretty good.

Exact same two moments for me. Though Dexter shitting on Amidala and Ben getting mad over poker were pretty decent skits too.
The art style was good. Worth a figure or bobblehead but everything but those 2 jokes and the design is not; it's just bad... it's painful.

Ah yes, Detours. Basically George Lucas had seen the Robot Chicken Star Wars specials he approved and he wanted the show's team (Seth Green, Matt Senreich, Tom Root, Seth MacFarlane as voices) to develop and write his own kids parody series. Episodes were completed which is what resulted in this trailer but plans to release it or make anymore were shelved when Disney announced they were purchasing Lucasfilm.
I like to think that George has private showings of it because he apparently is into this style of humor
somewhere in the vaults of Disney, there exists a hard drive with the full season of this show that was made, when are we planning to raid the office's Area 51 style to steal and release this cursed relic.

Some of the bits were actually decent, they were just stuck in between a bunch of shit.
Also, Vinny’s reactions made a lot of this even more unbearable.
The pacing kills the good ones and acts like a force multiplier to the bad ones. It’s like they think that for jokes to work need to last longer to have more of an impact so they keep adding on just a little bit more like life support instead of moving to the next one.
"Some good bits in between piles of shit" is exactly what most modern adult cartoons are. That's not something to praise imo.

Yeah the matte painting gag was pretty good but then it got ruined by the pacing, and aside from that Darth Vader flipping sideways on his chair was pretty funny due to the animation. Other than that it was negative comedy.
