it is, though these days bare minimum the person that brings an animation to vinny should at least vet it to make sure its safe
I hope this disclaimer catches on with other Vinesauce animations. Very helpful feature, and would be neat seeing each artist’s varying depictions of slime girls

Vinny, the reverse voice actor- where animators animate around his voice instead.
A lot of cartoons are done that way, just not dubbed stuff
Animators always animate around the voice lines. You can't exactly sync your speech perfectly to an animation, nor animate a mouth perfectly without an audio reference
As the other replies have mentioned, yeah this is pretty standard practice, especially when lip sync is involved.
What would the alternative be????? Lol
@@cool_bug_facts This is about professional stuff instead of fan animation where a voice would always come first, but funnily enough Japan, with its large output of animation, has been doing it the other way around since the earliest tv anime. Actors work with animation cuts that are already well on their way to be finalised. It's maybe more tradition at this point, but it still has its upsides with efficiency.

So I guess it only applies to the streamers themselves and not any artwork they might display?

Vinny as Soma is the funniest thing. Wearing that giant ass fur coat walking around making strange noises at giant skeletons.
I am now aware that a Vinny audio mod for Aria of Sorrow is not impossible.
Fastest animator in the West, animating faster than his own shadow (seriously, though, that's impressive considering that the isolated audio for that bit was posted to the Extra Sauce channel only 2 days ago).
I can't tell if I'm glad or disappointed that AWD didn't draw a crude picture of Alucard with a diaper on.

Insanely fast and insanely high quality
I don't mean to belittle other animations, but this one had some real quality to it. I guess the underlying bit makes the biggest difference, but it reminds me of the old Game Grump animations. The best ones were when they put a lot of creativity into that which you can't see and bring them to life-- The effort alone was nice regardless of how it turned out. As opposed to the ones where Arin and Danny were just talking. That's it. Northernlion had some like that too. Just his face with lip flaps somewhat matching the dialog. It makes me question what the point was in it being animated. Not to say that they didn't put effort into those, but you know what I mean. This was a real treat to watch.
