True story, scouts honor ✌🏽. She was my neighbor in NYC for 3 years and her old dog “Oliver” bit me on the arm in 2014. I didn’t make a big deal about it, he was a small old dog and shit happens, she was initially apologetic but turned rageful when I wanted to know her name and apt number in case I needed to forward a doctors bill. That was followed by 3 years of clashing with this woman every time we saw each other. Once her dog came after me and my two dogs in the hallway, I yelled at her dog to stop, she said “how dare you shout at my dog you fucking (inaudible).” I may have called her a “C-U-Next-Tuesday “
I’m not very confrontational, and she was the only person I ever had to defend myself against in NYC (and I worked in a sketchy neighborhood).
I believe she is a racist and an elitist. She hated having a Hispanic neighbor in “her” luxury apartment building. Believe me, this was a long time coming. As far as the assessment that she has impulse control, I can personally attest to that. I was and am still very good friends with many of the staff of that building, she was always the building joke and was known for her Karen behavior. Just a few stories I remember.
-She invites a guy upto her apartment (she was notoriously single and in desperate need of a mans, ahem, affection), only to chase after him out the door about 5 minutes later. Apparently he wasn’t into it. Her sexual frustration was obvious when she came back and yelled at the doorman for laughing. -Winter 2015. My building was on the Hudson and the neighborhood was very windy during winter. The doorman was helping a woman with a stroller through the door when she struggled with the other door, which she took offense to. She made a scene in the lobby on how she expected to have the door opened for her because that’s what she pays for. There is a spinning rotary door as well, she’s just a privileged bitch. -Ah, and my favorite. My wife was talking to the concierge with our two dogs by her side. Old crusty cooch rolls up and tells her that dog walkers have to use the side entrance and the front entrance is for residents only (Not True). My wife is Latina, and she’s mean y’all. She lit into her and called her a racist bitch. She told the building management a bunch of lies, that my wife spit at her and she wanted us removed. Of course none of the video and witnesses backed her up. We moved to a different tower within the same building and didn’t see her as much after that, but still heard stories about her clashing with staff members and residents. I was never a real believer in Karma, but this one makes me a believer. She is a bully. She has a mean and ugly heart. She tried to make me feel inferior. But I’m a combat veteran and I earned my right for a seat at the table. She deserves every bit of what she’s going through.

"I'm gonna tell them that there's an AFRICAN-AMERICAN MAN THREATENING MY LIFE!" pretty much tells us that. I love how he said, in perfect English, "PLEASE, TELL THEM WHATEVER YOU'D LIKE!!" that was my favorite part. Because if you pay attention, she froze up and there was a hesitation for a split second. I could see her little pea brain working. She was put off by the fact that he wasn't afraid that she was about to call the police. She thought he was calling her bluff. That's when she went ahead and dialed nine-one-one. She had too much pride not to follow through at that point. So she played it up. But she's not very smart, because he caught it from the beginning. It was all on camera that she fabricated the entire thing. And yet, she was still too prideful to stop. And Calvin is RIGHT. She saw him as beneath her and she was appalled at the audacity of this uppity Negro. That's why I don't accept her apology. I've been seeing it everywhere lately due to the pandemic. And I'm telling you, white people don't like the fact that I can tell THEM to not stand so close to ME or give ME six feet or act scared to touch THEM. They don't like it.

You're absolutely right. She didn't "apologize": she watered down her "apology" by offering it to anyone who watched and was offended by the video, and as you rightly state, to "that man, his family". She only owed a proper apology to Christian Cooper. I believe in redemption, but with proper recognition by the culprit of what actually happened: a) she threatened CC ("I'm gonna tell the police an African-American man is threatening me and my dog") b) she wanted to be able to lie by trying to keep CC from filming c) she spoke with a dramatic trembling voice that was way unconnected with the situation. Christian Cooper was not harmed, but could have, as most informed people in the entire world know.

Melissa Clarke :: You can't put this on Black Men for forgiving ( white women, in particular ). It's more generalized than that as Black People have a terrible rep. for being forgiving. Native-Americans also have this trait w / their belief in The Great Spirit who must have been _"Resting"_ on that _3rd day_ in 1492.
In part, I think, it has to do w / that religious "upbringing" of so many Black People who now have spread into the next generation of people who go around saying :: "Have a blessed day !" Also, I think, some Black People are so exhausted by racism that any apology is a relief ; also, I think, some Black People just want to be "loved" by their enemies, how else to explain how a large group of people can embrace The Christian Religion which was responsible for the Enslavement of their Ancestors AND the National Mentally of _Nationalizing Jim-Crow._ AND a so-called African-American President has basically been cosmetic-surgery w / oratory skills & has been rewarded w / a house at "Martha's" Place w / a wife who has probably decorated the house w / photos of her hugging G.W.
