  • Hello everyone and thank you for joining me today to take a look at my makes for the week, it’s really what I have made since I moved as I have only just begun to sew again, thank goodness.
Carolyn Pyjama Pants in a double gauze muslin with a linen viscose trim in Painterly Primrose, this was a good way to re-purpose the Gilbert shirt I had made but was not wearing.

Next was the Comfi Pants by Pattern Scout and the mash up of the Vera Top by Forget Me Not Patterns and the Trudy Turtle Neck by Wardrobe By Me, I made this in the Woodland Retreat bespoke Box from the Dahlia Sewciety, it was a Pointelle Knit fabric.

Then it was onto the Unwind Jumper with a hood by Pattern Emporium with matching pants made using the Anita Ponti Pant Pattern by Tessuti , I made this using a heathered navy brushed tri-blend French terry fabric from Lush Fabrics.

I then made another Trudy Turtle Neck Jumper with a lower neckline and a ¾ sleeve in a rib knit I purchased from Blackbird Fabrics many years ago.

I purchased the Tulip Dress by Sew Different Patterns after watching Christine from Gemini Stitches, the links below show Christine in two of her Tulip dresses, she looks wonderful and that why I bought the pattern, I have also added Christine’s instagram.

Your mash up looks great and the colour suits you. I had some sewing plans with snuggly winter fabric but now in Queensland with the hot weather I have had to rethink my sewing plans!

Hi Deb, I am so happy you are back to sewing in your new sewing room. Your pajamas look so elegant and it was a master stroke sewing a cuff on the bottom of the pants in the patterned material. (And sewing the whites cuffs on the sleeves.) The style arc dress pattern would look so nice on you - however I can understand your concern that the Ponte may not drape enough. I am working on a love notions pattern (rhapsody blouse) which I have modified to be a round neck blouse. I think it will be a great tried and true pattern for the future. Happy sewing.🌸

@@julieinnis2219 Thanks Julie, I love the PJs, I will get some wear out of the beautiful blouse now. If the ponte is too heavy it will pull the dress down on one corner, I think I may go with the Lenny. I love the Rhapsody blouse, but don’t necessarily like the tie, I think it can get in the way, changing it to a round neck is a great idea. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
