@@juliecarrolltontx2948 Hi Julie, if you want a sharp corner I would create a seam, a seam would turn it into a box style cover. Using you measurements create seams where you would want the sharp edge to be, hope this helps, in essence seams will create sharper edges. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕

I haven’t done any sewing for two weeks now until I get my new sewing room up and running so that’s stressful as I used to sew everyday. What type of things do you enjoy sewing? Thanks for your reply. To answer your question about other sites I follow there is really only one Australian site and that is Lush Fabrics. They are based over here and deal with mainly stretch fabrics. They release a video every Sunday morning showing some of their new fabrics. I have no complaints about the fabric I have bought from them to date. I also buy from Tessuti and Super Cheap Fabrics and follow an English site called Sew Essential. Good luck with settling in to the new house. I hope you get your sewing room up and running fairly quickly. Cheryl

@@kerryofarrell5028 Hi Kerry, we really only have one more room to unpack but have to rearrange furniture in a few rooms. I should be sewing sometime this weekend, fingers crossed. We were looking at acreage but thought the older we get it would be too much to look after, so we have bought just over a third of an acre, manageable and we can have a very large veggie garden and chooks which is what we wanted. Fabric shops are an hour away in Bendigo, so online shopping mostly for me. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕

@@loisr1560 Hi Lois, the Deba Top looks great, as it is a grown on sleeve you could extent it a bit further to make it longer or just add another piece to make it longer. If I was me and I was wearing it as a Summer jacket I would add a cuff to extend the sleeve as I don’t like my arms on show too much, but definitely you could add a piece of fabric onto the existing sleeve edge to create and extended sleeve. I note in the tester makes that if the fabric is to soft if gives really crinkked ubderarm sleeves. I all about free patterns. I eill have yo look online for some fabric. I want to wear it over t shirt and jeans to look classy casual.

@@dbdesignsandsewingaustrali5668 i made the deba is some linen blend. It does not suit me. Imade the size reccomended for my measurements and i feel its to big. The curved hem does nothing for me as i am big roubd stomach and hips. So $30 material is not to bad an expense to put in the not hapoy pile.

@@viddy8379 Hi Venora, we are going from a four bedroom plus theatre room house to a three bedroom house, but it does have a workshop, a double garage, a garden shed and a double car port, so many outer buildings. I just need to work out how to fit everything in. Only one large wardrobe and I used to have 3 double wardrobes and a walk in robe, so I hung everything up, now I need to use chests of draws, but I will fit it all in. Are you painting all the rooms? What type of curtains are you getting? The fabrics are beautiful, some more winter sewing on the agenda, have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕

Hi Katrina, that’s great news you’re going to Frocktails, now you will have to think about what to make for the event. My kids do appreciate my help and especially as I do lots of arts and crafts with my grandchildren. Hi Crafty Mystic, yes it does lower rise slightly, but I’m short so that is no issue for me. You are correct it can be done the same as a small bust adjustment, just slashing and overlapping. Doing a toile is really the only way to see how much you need to take out as you still need to be able to sit down without them pulling down at the back, I tested all of my movements on the toile. I do sometimes take small amount off the inner and outer thighs evenly so it still sits straight. It is really just a try everything which can be difficult when your doing it on your own, I usually get a better fit when I’m doing it on other people. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕

Hi Shelly, yes the Trudy Turtleneck is a great top, I have so many now, and this is the first time I haven’t used merino wool and I really pleased with the outcome, it very warm. No one is ever happy with the weather, it’s either too hot or too cold 🤣🤣. Have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
