Dude, this has gotta be one of the most well-produced live shows you’ve done! Love watching you guys
I agree! Well done Roy and Mike and Kenny and whoever else was involved in that! Superb camera production!
Eric, you are a gem for remembering my game Node.
Level Zero is a programming joke based on initial framework, not my idea.
"..and that's my #2..." - classic Sam!
You will be missed, sir!
We love you Sam. Thanks for the years of information and entertainment. Bless you and your family.
Sam, I will miss you immensely. I always enjoyed the chemistry between the three of you and you will still have a lasting memory in my family for being kind enough to integrate us into your first Thoat punch lunch.
All the best for you and your family.
Why is Sam leaving?
Ivan Reyes As far as I understand for family reasons.
Agreed I am going to miss Sam a lot. I hope all the world for him.
Sam is moving to washington state
We made this list so that Sam could pick different games. Sam still finds all of the Viking games. No one is surprised by this.
Sam making the poop game number 2 is class in itself. I was surprised nobody picked up on that and run that joke!
He got plenty of applause from the audience on that one - hence the "thumbs-up".
Sam's Number 2 definitely put a smile on my face... and he put it at number 2 as well, lol!

Sad to see Sam go, wish him all the best in Washington though!
Damn, Zee looks like a rabbi :D
Tom Vasel:
_ "I'm saying the artwork..."
Eric Summerer:
_ "I'm not complaining about the art style, I'm saying it is a lovely game inside!"
man, I love this dude XD
Best live list yet from you guys! That was entertaining all the way through! Thanks you!!
So sad to see Sam leave. He was definitely the one who matched my personal tastes in games the most. Going to miss him.
So here I am, sitting in the office, working on my stuff and listening to the show on my headphones and bursting out laughing every few minutes causing mild confusion in the open space. Sad to hear Sam leaving, it was super amusing watching this. Thanks!

Tsukiji is based off the Tsukiji fish market in Japan. It's a hot auction for seafood and is so well known people visit it just to watch. There's also a market nearby to buy and eat fresh seafood. Yumm!
10) Mr Cabbagehead’s Garden
9) Counterfeiters
8) GOSU Tactics
7) Choson
6) Fairytale Gloom
5) Tatsu
4) Brutal Kingdom
3) Warband: Against the Darkness

39:16 - "...euphanism"
"And they were like, 'Oh. You're pretty smart.'"
LoL! Yah, when I heard 'em say that, I said out loud (to myself, but like, as if I were replying to him), "No, you just have a phone." :-D
I just realized: with Sam gone, who's gonna see us on the flip side? They need a new outro!
The sound for this video is impeccable. Well produced all around.
There needs to be a top ten viking games as Sam's final top 10!
If you follow his top 100 you can easily tell his top 10 vikings
@@ryusorata It isn't that I really want to know his top ten Viking games, I just think it would be a funny send off video since everyone gives him a hard time about his favorite theme.
I can’t agree more
I too think this would be a great final top 10 list for Sam
I LOVE Node! I played it at the Gencon when the game's creators originally released it. Bought it immediately, played it a bunch. Such a fun game.
"Diet Evil Games" probably took their name from the dissing Dr. Evil did of his son Scott in Austin Powers 2: "You’re the Diet Coke of evil, just one calorie, not evil enough."
I called it, Sam's #2, love it, so funny!!!
I love how at PAX UNPLUGGED they picked games that require a DVD player. . . . .
I bought monster trick a few years ago on Zee’s advice...good stuff
Mythe is another really good pick, I remember demoing it at GenCon when it came out, and I really enjoyed it. I'm surprised that one didn't do better.
I bought Vabanque in Japan this year (because I remember Tom mentioning it). Apparently, the Japanese version is published in 2017. The game is language-independent so I just needed to download the rules from BGG. I agree that it is a fun, bluffing game.
Lol Sam doesn't understand the picture on the box. The dog is looking for the fox because the dog's job is to protect the chickens. Classic Sam!
Blu-ray players also play DVDs.
My top 15 unsung games (BGG rating >3000)
#15 - The Mysterious Forest (7988)
#14 - Trainmaker (5820)
#13 - Brikks (3165)
#12 - Battle of the Bards (6843)
#11 - Walls of York (6852)
#10 - Legendary Inventors (3064)
#9 - Tyler Sigman's Crows (5784)
#8 - Echidna Shuffle (4422)
#7 - Dungeon Academy (5643)
#6 - Ocean Crisis (7851)
#5 - Treasure Mountain (4721)
#4 - Fire Tower (4018)
#3 - Farlight (3383)
#2 - Magnastorm (3092)
#1 - TEAM3 (3783)
Zee is REDICULOUS!!!
Loved Zee's reference to The Usual Suspects.
Quicksilver getting some love! EXCELLENT! I really enjoy that one, and everyone that's played it with me has enjoyed it. ... and you all know that Blu-Ray players are backwards compatible, right?
Recommendation: Top 10 Table Presence games list.
Also, not only to I own a DVD player, but also a VHS player. 🙃
My shout of surprise when Tom said "Monopoly" is now immortalized :P
I can't believe how long it took me to connect the theme of Sam's #2 with its placement on his list. I really need to word on my toilet humor senses.
I’ve never played any of these or even heard of any either.
I think for live events you all should come out one at a time and as you walk out point at people while they play the theme song from your top 100 videos (and maybe try to get everyone clapping along)! Lol 🎶
Sam's pun game was on point
My No.1 on that premise, by a mile: "Kassen" by Kenichi Tanabe.
Absolutely top-notch game, and nobody knows about it (just 6 comments on BGG).
Audio was great!
I love Web of Gold and Warlock of Firetop Mountain.
Been there seen that!
Tom: I gave you the rules for this list of Top 10 Unsung Games.
Everyone sits down with a list of Top 7 Unsung Games.
???
I'm more surprised Sam didn't define "Unsung game" as a game that's not featured in a song.
That dog is like my dog. Nothing: barking, squirrels: barking, people walking by walking their dogs: barking, cars driving by: barking, thunder: barking. People stealing stuff out of our car in the middle of the night: not a peep
Is Zee cosplaying?
The notes definitely say "Same Eric"....
Man Zee you crack me up with the outfit! Good stuff!!
Just went to amazon and found monopoly tropical tycoon. While there Amazon recommended another 10+ games from this video. This is why I love Amazon! (Don’t say anything bad....it’s monitoring everything we say)
Great live show! We'll miss you Sam.
I have a copy of Trains & Stations on my "for sale" pile. For whatever reason I cannot bring it tot he table often enough but it is a really good game. Might try it once more...
Sam structured his list that way on purpose, LOL!
My #1 would be Skittykitts, ranked 17520. A pure little gem. It packs so much in 21 cards!
Hive Mind, from the Titan Game series (Capital City) is one of the best unsung games of all time. If you haven't tried it, do it !!!
Tsukiji and Tales of Glory are great. Nice picks Sam.
trains and stations was broken and clunky. sold it
Sams #2: Tom does say he wants new themes that isnt trading in the Mediterranean - be careful what you wish for
By far the best Pax panel I've been to
Yanno,...I gotta say, if anything, that Quicksilver game cover looks very much like Pearl Jam's Vitalogy album.
Thank you! I knew it reminded me of something!
Perfect Alibi wins award for best board game cover of all time.
My top games that are BGG ranked 3000 or lower to which I gave an 8 or higher rating:
1) Schrille Stille (#3221, rated 8 by me)
That's it! I have some honorable mentions (ranked 2000 or lower and/or rated a 7 or higher by me):
2) Get Bit! (#2188, rated 8.5 by me)
3) Ladies & Gentlemen (#2225, rated 8 by me)
4) Tribond (#18050, rated 7.5 by me)
5) King Up! (#2236, rated 7.5 by me) - re-implemented as Super Mario Level Up (which is #5742)
I can't believe zee missed the opportunity to emphasize saying my number TWO> after all the poop jokes! hahaha
Sam had already said it was his "#2 game".
I know it’s not 3000 or lower, but I’ve never understood why Arcane Academy doesn’t get more love.
45:15 Is it a legacy game?
Isn't every monopoly a legacy game? The rules can change in between or during plays and in the end there is probably someone tearing some cards in two.
Poor Eric :D
I like how Sam chose games that are unsung even though they look great. (cause games with bad artwork naturally get much less attention)
I have Burger Joint! 🍔 Now I'm inspired to dust it off and give it play 😊
Wish I could find a copy of Pecunia Non Olet.
Brandon Houston same! I’m hoping it’ll get reprinted at some point in time 😂
It's a great fun watching you guys interacting! I'd like to add my new discovery Kauchuk/Rule the Realms to the list. It's a lightweight Ticket-to-Ridish family game, gathering energy and VPs with colorful elastic bands!
Have only played and own Caper
Tom: You know there's a fine line between pirates and vikings.
Sam: But there IS a line!
Hey! Sam’s moving over here! That’s great👍🏻
Sam looks very sad...I hope he gets his old happy self back soon!
Hey Sam, if you're ever looking for good food in Washington, hit me up!
that was dumped on us
Sound quality is pretty good
Indeed.
Sam at 39:37 demonstrating *perfect* comedic timing...
You, Sir, win the internet this day with your expertly wielded poop joke.
48:15 It's obviously mouples.
49:32 No...it's not a musical, we already established that these are all *unsung* games. (Buh dum chxs!)
54:03 "Prisoner's Dilemma" the game...work together, we all win...fail to do so, we all lose...except the asshole we all hate at the end. I can see the attraction...
See ya on the flip side, Sam. You're the best. Raid the hell outta the west coast you glorious Viking.
Maybe you guys could include Sam here and there via Skype or something...ya know like once every couple months? He can’t just CONPLETELY disappear from the Dice Tower! I mean, who’s gonna argue and rag with Zee on a constant basis?!
Do we know where in Washington Sam is moving to? I live in Northwest Washington, and am curious
Sam here...Wenatchee, WA.
@@thedicetower Imma miss your input, man...I'll be on the lookout for you in future Dice Tower projects, but that said, I wish you and yours the best.
I rarely agree with Sam, but Raids is great.
Everyone with an xbox or playstation has a DVD player
Odd that Tom likes Fantasy Business but generally does not like semi-coop. They both have a similar premise, require cooperation and backstabbery, and you win by lying/manipulating. Both can fall apart if people do not really play it right and choose to just bomb the game instead.
Also, Vabanque was recently Kickstarted for a new edition and failed funding.
Love that Eric showed up.
Me too!
Inis!!
Oh great, Same Eric. :)
Also, when Zee said "My number 2," I expected a lot of laughs.
Vabanque reprint on KS someday "By the end of this game you will have hundreds of thousands of dollars!" - Tom Vasel
Did the make a Dirty Sanchez reference on the Quicksilver part? Not the TV show, the actual thing...
Interesting list -- but perhaps the cutoff should have been higher than BGG 3,000? How many times did Tom or someone else say, "That is a horrible game" -- meaning that perhaps these games aren't unsung, which implies a gem missed somehow, but simply bad (or at best mediocre) games.
Zee’s look reminds me of Sean Connery in Indiana Jones and the last crusade.
Sam’s coming to Washington? :D
So ... RAIDS is Viking version of Tokaido?
I feel cheated out of 12 games
Scene it was a good game, but the problem with trivia games is that the trivia tends to out date.
what does that mean sam is not doing this anymore? why??
Where is Sam going
Does Eric ever play like, any good games? At all? Ever? :D :D :D
Have you seen his top 100? A lot of great titles!
Bear Down, Sam!!
