  • In the video I review the 2022 Harley Davidson Street Bob build. This bike has the main things I see people doing to their Street Bobs with the exception of exhaust.

    Great video as always! After watching your street bob videos last year it swayed me heavily into buying my 21 street bob in stone washed white and I absolutely love it. Funny that you made this video today since I'm picking up my street bob build from the dealership tomorrow! The list goes as follows: saddleman step up seat, stage 2 SE torque cam kit, HD color match Quarter fairing, S&S grand national slip ons, Edward richie sissy bar, SE phat spark plug wires, HD axel and fork nut covers, HD coil cover and stage 2 timing cover, karyakin chin spoiler, LED front and rear turn signals and K&N high flow air filter. I plan on getting the torque motorcycle throw over saddlebags in the near future as well. Looking forward to the next video!

    I think this is the HD Softail Quarter Fairing, which suits the Street Bob really well. I personally love the mods on this one. The clubstyle is the direction I would take a Street Bob too if I was to buy one.

      @@throttleblip9854 Depends entirely on the rider. If they need that kind of height, then they might as well get it. It wouldn’t suit me f.e. because I’m a shorter guy. My riser height is 10”.
      Yeah, I’m getting the MS Cafe Fairing on mine. Apparently they move the wind over your head. Probably slightly better engineering than what HD offers.

    You can get taller and wider, clear or smoke windshield for that fairing. It’s an after market company that makes them. I’m starting to like this exact same street bob again. Good looking bike.

  • @MrAndrew1953
    @MrAndrew1953 Před 2 lety +2

    To me it comes down to your budget and how much you want to spend. My big issue is those handlebar gauages- I really don't like them at all. I do like the single gauge on the S - that belongs on a motorcycle. I'm 5'8 so those bars would be a bit high but I like the set up, just angled back. I'd probably opt for the S model and save up for the ST fairing ideally or something like it if Harley wouldn't provide it. I like twin discs with ABS on big, heavy bikes like these. An ST without those awful bar gauges would be great.
    I like the style of those bars but at 5'8 I think they're probably a tad high? I think I'd be more interested in one of these than a Nightster.

      I have the 2022 and have been getting about 170 miles out of the tank. All back roads and not pushing it hard, keeping it between 40-50 mph. I'm sure it will do well on the highway but I avoid highways like the plague.

    I think the bike would look better with apes instead of the super tall risers but thats my opinion. I have the same bike and love it. I just installed forward controls and like them much better than the stock mid setup. 4000K seems like alot but I guess if you get the dealer to do the work instead of yourself then the labour adds up !

      @@bz8047 I am 5‘9“ tall. The middle controls seem a little weird to me and like I said I had forward controls on my Dyna wide glide and loved it so I purchased forward controls made by happy motor off of Amazon. Apparently the company is owned by Harley enthusiasts and they show pictures comparing their quality fit and finish with the other offshore brands. I was very impressed when the kit came and I installed it on my bike. The fit and finish are awesome and there were very clear parts diagrams, and instructions. It ended up being half the price as the factory Harley forward controls which were just over $700 Canadian for me. I’m pretty sure you would want to go with the forward controls being your height. It’s much more relaxed riding.

    The factory mini-apes are super comfortable. I’d never use those ridiculous handlebars. Faring: looks good but no good for highway riding over 70 mph. Stock seat sucks - on purpose. Seat is needed. I HIGHLY recommend that you spend $325 and install cruise control yourself. Well worth it. You don’t need stage I or II! You’ve got a 114 and the bike only waives a hair over 600 lbs! Another suggestion, add the tall sissy bar. My best suggestion: don’t buy a Harley. I bought two and regret it. NOT worth it and they intentionally give you cheap stuff like mufflers and grips that EVERYONE will want to upgrade.
