    Was of great help as to the bulbs. however, I have a 2003 Ford Sport Trac that had no left low beam. replaced bulb as stated above. Still no left low beam. Well a little checking and I found that there was a 10 amp fuse in the Power Distribution Center (black box under the hood sitting behind the battery) inside there is a 10 amp fuse for low beam. One for left and one for right. I replaced this fuse and low beam working without issues. The fuse #s are 38 left and 42 right. Check your owner's manual to be sure yours are in the same location. Might want to check these two fuses before buying lights. Even if they look ok ? Replace before doing the above.
    Thank you for the above information. Was indeed a great help.

    Wow perfect vid! I had a broken head light. I bought a used one. Thought I was going to have to dismantle the front of the truck. It could almost be done with no tools. Thanks for sharing!

    The first time I watched this, I nearly had a panic attack! Then I watched it again. Took me about half an hour, as I'm not good with stuff like this (square peg in the round hole!) but I got it. Thanks so much!

    @1aauto Thanks for taking the time to reply. I was able to pop out the lens easily and inside there are two bulbs, but they look somewhat tricky since they won't budge at all. I'm thinking if maybe it requires pulling out the overhead console, it's a simple console since there's no moon roof. Just compass, dome lights, compartment for garage opener. Unfortunately I don't want to pry it too hard as to not break it since I could be wrong about removing it and I can't find instructions anywhere.

    We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to do this. There Should be 3-4 bolts on the sides of the headlights that hold them in place. If you remove those they should come out for you. We offer the replacement headlights on our website for your truck. Here's a link to them. 1aauto.com/1A/HeadLights/Ford/Explorer/1ALHP00045/257865/1991?ATony

  • @1AAuto
    @1AAuto  Před 12 lety

    @RikuSpirit On most vehicles you can usually squeeze the ends together on the light lens and it usually pops off to get at the bulb, or there may be a screw that holds it in place. I don't have the truck here anymore to take a look at. It's usually pretty easy though.

  • @RikuSpirit
    @RikuSpirit Před 12 lety +1

    thanks for this video! I was able to replace the headlight today =D Although i kept trying to pull the actual bulb from the socket, turns out the bulb and socket have to be replaced together, when you pick up the new one it'll include them both. Unfortunately the dome light for the driver/front passenger is also out, any chance you could show us how to replace the front dome light please?

    Thank you very much! Changing mine on both sides due to lenses being yellow and foggy looking over the years. And before anyone mentions, yes, I've tried restoring them, but didn't work too well.....This won't affect the direction of the lights though will it?

  • @1AAuto
    @1AAuto  Před 14 lety

    @DeadorAlive19 I believe you mean the foglights? Installing them physically is not the problem as there are just fillers installed in place of them. Pull out the filler panels and you can install the lights. The problem is wiring them and having a switch inside the vehicle. That is a whole different ball game. To do it right you'd want to install an OE style switch. Then after that the wiring may be there but if not you'll have to wire everything.
