  • What if President Theodore Roosevelt had managed to successfully win a third term, either immediately following his prior consecutive terms in the election of 1908, or in the 1912 election, gaining the Republican nomination instead of Taft, and never splitting the vote between party conservatives and progressives.

I think this scenario isn't all that accurate.
Teddy was a big supporter of nationalism itself, not just American Nationalism. He promotes America, but would recognise the value of Germany to Germans.
Removing the Kaiser? Dismantling Germany? Won't happen.
Because not only would he recognise those, but he himself was also fond of the German people, being keenly aware of the German American population when it came to WW1 politics and was even educated in Germany and had met the Kaiser on friendly terms.
He most definitely would have joined the Entente, but allowing the German people to suffer so much? Very debatable.

Although Russia was a backwater at the time, with German economic and military pacts they *might* be better off by the time WW1 hits, and the fact that the leaders of both nations are cousins would lead to better relations.
However, this would likely lead to a two front war with Japan+freinds on the other side of the world that would cause problems, as well as this new Central Powers having a lack of real allies to call in. The lack of a Communist revolution by not sending Lenin back would work in favor of the Russians, but the incompetence of their leadership would prove to be a struggle. Central Powers could exploit the ethnic tensions in Austria to knock them out quickly by supporting another Hungarian uprising, but France and freinds would be hard to take out if the pull in Britain and by extension Japan into their war. Then again, this would lead to a stronger Alliance with Italy, and Germany would back at least some of their claims on Austria, so Italy might be a member of the Central Powers. This could have the ramification of sending the Ottomans towards France, shifting the scales harshly.

The question as to if it would be a wholehearted christian state or a more tolerant one than in hopes of easing political ties within the isles comes into question, but the fact that there would likely be no decline in literacy rates and the maintaining of infrastructure, combined with the lack of external threats to the british isles for some 500 years after this point, would provide a long basis to give it the opportunity to be a serious threat - and being in such a state of being an island with a distinct lack of luxury products (but an abundance of period-industrial resources) would reinforce the liklihood of it becoming a maritime power, I would imagine.

The Russia's fear the British will capture Alaska and use it as a control the Pacific north seas, and cause French and British sided with the Ottoman empire when the Russians tried too take over the Baltic regions when they tried too unite the Slavic people's. Im pretty sure that a more involved roosevelt would have actually prevented ww1 from spiraling out of control. With an aggressive USA, germany would not have invaded belgium, thus leaving out both GB and the USA out of the now regional conflict between germany+austro-hungary and france+russia. Here, germany would easily assert naval dominance over france, creating a pressure situation on france to focus a lot more on naval production to prevent a total blockade, leading to a far less able offensive on the german-french front. Seeing that the french border is much easier to defend, Germany would focus on eastern europe, defeating the russians even faster in 1916 due to its backwards army and state organisation. This in turn would be accompanied by a nationalist support against russia in much of eastern europe, which germany would foster.
With a treaty similar to Brest-Litovsk, Russia would ceed much of eastern europe to german puppet states, creating the kingdoms of finland, estonia, latvia, lithuania - while these 3 might form a baltic confederation instead - ukraine and a polish state lacking access to the baltic sea. Afterwards, the alliance of GB and USA would force a sort of white peace in the west, GB trying to keep France as a force against german control of the continent. However, the war showed for the second time that France does not have the military and industrial capacity to truely threaten Germany by itself.
The war would be pinned as russias fault with its intervention on the balkans. France would lose a few colonies as token reparations to germany, but its european mainland would stay the same. Why would this happen? The war in the west would have shown that future wars between industrialized countries would be extremely costly and with very high casualities with the trench warfare like in our timeline. Both the Entente and the Axis Powers would seek a lasting peace in western europe - a practical white peace would prevent unnecessary revanchism and the looming threat of american intervention in future conflicts would be key. In the future, China is the worlds battlefield, the last piece of earth to be divided among the great powers.
Russia would face a revolution like it did in our time, however, GB being uninvolved in the war would enable them to truely support the White Army in the russian civil war. This would lead to this fraction winning the war, creating an alliance between GB and the now democratic russian confederation. This russia, with british support would rapidly industrialize in the post war time, creating a second democratic superpower next to the USA. Being democratic would however lead to a much less imperialist involvement in european affairs, the pan-slavism of the old russian empire painted as the pipe dream that lead to the humiliating defeat in the war.

The French military mobility doctrines were ahead in time and superior to the German ones : “The Entente victory of 1918 was the triumph of French trucks over the German railway”. If the Germans never strike France industries at the beginning of the war, a victory seems unlikely to happen in the years to come: France would more easily keep up on the industrial part, keeping its naval advantage. With a limited front, France inferior manpower wouldn't be too detrimental either.
France would have the economic support of Britain and America, while Germany wouldn't (on top of being restricted in the seas). France would therefore be able to hold on for a very long time. The war may wage for even longer than what happened in history, only to end with the first country failing to hold the social masses. The German Revolution of 1918-1919 might be the crushing blow for Germany.

One aspect you failed to mention: Roosevelt in lieu of Wilson, means that Segregation never reaches the Federal Level, instead staying in the Democrat-Dense regions of the nation, which in theory can mean that the Civil Rights movement may have a somewhat easier time getting that taken down, when it hasn't had 40-50 years to become normalized.

Well his presence in history will still have effects on the world like possibly helping develop environmentally friendly technology so companies will be less against preservation efforts. Also him running for president can still have effects different from never running. If his opponent barley wins a large chunk of voters will be more aligned with Teddy’s ideas leading to more divide than if no major opponents appeared.

The story of the Rough riders being militarily effective is most likely a myth. For example they are known to be taking a well fortified hill in the war with Cuba, however it's not known to many that that hill was accualy was some other hill 2 kilometers away with a garrison of about 50 men, so no wonder they stormed it with ease.

S.M. Stirling's *_Black Chamber_* novels are perhaps a trifle excessive in their Utopianism, but they're good clean fun of the sort my parents affectionately called "shoot-'em-ups".
The idea of Roosevelt going to Europe to direct the war personally is shocking, given that the very idea of a sitting U.S. President leaving the country *_AT ALL_* was controversial even a generation later, but I wouldn't put it past the Colonel.
