Toyota Pickup Truck Hilux Coming To India | Launch, Price & Specifications | VehicleCare

In January, the Toyota Hilux pickup vehicle will be available in India for the first time.
The new Hilux pickup will be built on the same IMV-2 platform as the Indian-market Innova Crysta and Fortuner. The Hilux, on the other hand, will be far longer than both of the aforementioned vehicles, measuring over 5.3m in length and having a wheelbase of more than 3m (closer in size to something like the Isuzu V-Cross).
The Hilux will be available in a double-cab form for our market, but it is unclear whether Toyota will also offer a single-cab variant (like Isuzu) for the commercial vehicle class.
While Toyota has yet to confirm the Hilux's powertrain options for the Indian market, we expect the base model to get the Innova's 150hp, 2.4-litre diesel engine with two-wheel drive, and the top-spec model to get the Fortuner's 204hp, 2.8-litre diesel engine with two- or four-wheel drive.
