I've always been a big fan of Hobao. My Hyper 7's have never let me down, and neither has this one. Tonnes of power, Tonnes of fun - Plus a great looking body shell! I gave it a true beating, let me know what you think of it down in the comments section below!

What a cracking car! Hobao never fails to impress me. You may hear a little Lean Bogging on this one from time to time - I was working hard to tune it and then found a kinked fuel line when I took the body shell off! Whoops. A good tuning mixture has now been restored :)

Yes someone donated an Ofna pipe for my Force .36 in the Terrier, it brought it alive!

Nice video, great Hobao Truggy same as mine. :) What is the purpose of a yellow strap on the engine? I think it is a fuel silicon hose or something?

Got the truggy a couple of days ago, so will go through the breaking in process at the weekend, weather permitting. What are the clips on top of the engine for? I hope the factory engine settings are better than the hyper 7 was.☹️

Yes, just to protect the cooling head. It's only something I've started doing recently :) Weather is looking good here for the weekend, think we have a heatwave!

I wanna know if the hobao sst shell fits the hobao st I’ve converted my hobao st to brushless and like the shell ?
I don’t see much dampening action in the shocks have you made any changes to suspension? Might get it for xmas this year 2020👍🏻

How does this truggy compare to the hpi trophy either 4.6 engine. I’m curious about about the two engines and which one has more power.
They are both similar but I would go for the HPI , it is marginally better quality and the engine is easier to tune.

No, nothing to change on this one - it's built very well as with all hobaos :)

How does this Hobao Hyper ss nitro compare to the vrx 1 rh801 nitro? Im in the market for a big block nitro truggy and I've come down to these two. Which would you recommend?

The springs in the clutch seem to be to stiff

Not much blue smoke
It's the fuel I am using, it's a race blend with 9% oil so not much smoke

Moved back to Optifuel now with 15% oil! It's a smoke machine now :D
