I don't even own a rc car but love watching Kevin
Buy one,loads of fun
Nitro Content is the best, great job 👍👍
If your worried about shock boots you can make your own from balloons. Grab a pack of the long balloon's and stretch it over the spring then trim off the ridge end and cut off the sealed end leaving a few mm to tuck inside the spring at top an bottom , put the spring back on the shock an job done. No more moisture and dirt to contaminate the shock oil.
In atvs and bikes it also helps keep from getting the piston rod dented by rocks and crap, love me some shock covers.
About to do this on my K8S. Awesome bit of advice. Thanks 👍👍
Can also remove the connector on the end of the rod, slide the boot on, then screw the connector back on. Little more time consuming than the balloon trick, but works great if you want the slightly more durable boots. Either way works, so it's really more of the builder's preference.
Oh man. Wow. My brain never even thought about the long balloons. I feel like a doofus that never crossed my mind.
Smart
Kev making nitro great again
😂
Loving all the nitro content Kev, let’s make Nitro great again!!
In the words of Kevin. YES!
This thing screams quality..❤
Till this day I could watch your vids for hours
I'd love to see more nitro racing from you kev.
Wouldn't we all rc racer, many old timers who are anti everything not racing will be impressed. Racing is not a club sport. It is a solo sport. And this is the problem
beautiful car
Kev is making nitro great again!
Brooo that car looks so sick
respect kevin, your a pure blood
Alex kowaliuk here from America what do you mean pure blood ??
Nice mp10 truggy
He looks like Lighting McQueens angry cousin with those headlights 😀
Keep getting these hot racers, no bashsrs from now on
Back in the 80's I always wanted an Inferno, and an Avanti, and a Clodbuster, and...
I'd like to say you are FAR from a novice with rc, Kevin! You have more experience with more models then most any of us and your constantly wrenching on them! If there's 1 person I'd entrust to wrench on my rigs it'd be you lol. You can easily see the amazing handling of that mp10t vs what you normally rip around with. One amazing piece of kit! Running beautifully as well
Do you not see how he treats his nitro engines?
@@rockncoop665 HiS engines? I do. He is aware of what he is doing to his motors and is aware it isn't good for them. He has the knowledge to do it correctly, he just doesn't care. I'm sure if he were tooling on someone's rig who did care then so would he.
love the vids kev build a electric go kart like suronster did
I just had a crazy idea for Kevvie:
Now build a LIFE SIZE version lol. I mean literally. Do it piece by piece and drive it!!!
I got my RC Maxx all because of you
I love the Kyosho content. They make some nice quality rc cars even some of their higher end rtr’s are really good. I think some people sleep on these brands but don’t see the quality and experience that goes into these. Love this build and truggy Kev!
Yeah, kyoshos are pretty sweet, I've checked them out at one of the semi-LHS and even when looking at it next to the Typhon 6s, the kyosho honestly looks higher quality, something about it just gives that impression, I got a hobao hyper sste and I love it, super durable and handles amazing, light weight and fast
@@restinpiecesrc5528 Hobao are great rc cars high quality and strong! I need to get one. Had a buggy years ago and it was tough!
@@restinpiecesrc5528All modern 1/8th scale buggies are based on the Kyosho Burns and original Infernos. Kyosho and Yuichi Kanai designed the elements of a 1/8th buggy that are still used to this day. Kyosho is the grandfather of them all.
Those Picco engines are awesome.
wow colour me shocked SHOCKED you actually got a starter box!!! (as I pick myself up the floor lol)
the same Japanese guy that massages that expensive beef he puts together the ready to run cars !
O.S. , Picco, Rossi were among the best race engines in the 90s.
Kit building has its place , really know how your car works
How about now? What brands are best?
@@ocelee7794 O.S. engines are still in production.. not sure about the others.
Its nice to see more nitro stuff.
What up from Seattle Kev!? I’ve been rockin wit you for a while… I’d hardly say you’re a novice concerning anything rc car.
You ain’t foolin me!😂
One love brutha…
Holly crow that thing runs great. I'm the kinda guy who loves putting them together. That would have been alot of fun. That looks really cool!
wow this car looks real quality.
Kev, if you found this menu difficult, you haven't seen anything yet ! If you buy good and expensive parts, they all work ! Cheap nitro engines are a pain even for experienced tuners because of the tolerances ! For new RC enthusiasts, always buy proper gear, cheap is expensive !
This is absolutely correct bro! I bought my first mugen mbx7t and never looked back. Got rid of all my other stuff and got tekno kits and still have a revo but otherwise 1/8 kits are the best for racing, bashing and anything else really
Hello can you please tell kev to get the legendary traiton
if almost 700$ isnt expensive to you, then idk what to tell ya
I bought a nitro last week and I am struggling to say the least lol I got the ‘Backwash’ from nitrotek. Are you able to help me out at all?
A word of advice from someone with 20+years of nitro experience .patience is a must .pretty simple to get going get the car get batterys in receiver and controller get your glow starter charged fill your fuel tank with the correct nitro fuel .put glow starter in the top of the engine head pump fuel through to engine .and pull pull start after a few pulls the engine should fire up .tuning the engine if it needs tuning can be tricky though .good luck 👍
I love those kits because you can build them one piece at a time and they come with better parts
Great to see you doing more nitro. 👌🏻👍🏻💪🏻
Love to see build vids. These are super fun to watch! Especially cuz you take em out after! It always bugs me when you watch guys build these things to sit on a shelf...😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
its cool with shelf warmers if its a old car or raire one but as you say its nice to see someone running the cars some times.
We need more on these kyosho kits kev there out of this world maybe buy a modified novarossi 28.8 or p5 or even the roma .25 either one of them would be awesome
Soak the rubber dust covers for the shocks in hot water for a couple of minutes, makes them easier to put on without tearing. 👍
It’s 7 In the more for Illinois, but god bless you Kev🙏🏻
Very nice! 👍 Waiting to see video from track
Japanese quality, mate!
Cheers from Brazil!
👍👍👍👍👍Nice Truggy
Nice RC build
"Novice" builds professional nictro RC trucks... 😂
Great video
You don't need anyone to help you set it up,your a Master.
I agree those sanwa radios are difficult to understand and use, but they are great when you finished the adjustments.
does anybody agree its so satisfying when he builds rc cars
Btw kev the shock boots they help keep your shocks tip top shape so you won’t have to rebuild them all the time
That kit looks awesome to build, such good quality. I remember building serpent and x-ray cars back in the day and they were a joy to put together.
Best video yet personally, really liked seing the build process :)
Damn Kyosho and their bell crank steering setup
Loving the race kit content! Seeing the build and the quality of these kits is awesome
Il caso dove non sapere nulla di modellismo ha portato successo
Complimenti 👍🏻
Hey Kev, dare you to drop two banger videos like this in a row 😂
Love it.
This one is truly epic! What a fine piece of machinery
Hey Kevin Alex kowaliuk here I love these race vehicles even the nitros seem much more usable than a 200 dollar nitro with the blue top that just ether won't run but a couple times or just completely blow up
Woah, it’s like a little rabid Wolverine, just waiting to pounce! Sounds fantastic. 👍🏼😁👍🏼
While I would never get one of these cars....I have decided I know my limits...it sure is fun watching you get 'em and build them and race 'em! LETS RIP!!!!!
항상 재미있게 잘보고있습니다^^
Kevin never takes it easy 😊
I'm glad that the car has worked out really well and runs great! I love it when a plan comes together!
The sticker choice was perfect for the front end! It looks like a little mad face. Concentrating on its way to victory
Get yourself a small copper mallet, or a small length of copper rod 10-12mm dia to use with a normal hammer to knock in those hard to install bearings Kev
That shell is hideous!
thumbs up for having trays/bins for all the various bags. If you've never built a kit before that's THE way to do it....I put the tag from the bag in the bin so I know which is which. Makes assembly SO much easier.
Get a bunch from the dollar store with lids so you can keep the spare parts arranged after you're done.
or for the smaller 1:10 cars a muffin tray with different compartments work.
@@extec101 yeah I used a muffin tray in the past as well but you can't put a lid on it hence why I went to the dollar store bins.
Kev your videos are Best In the world
Ahhhhh heres the little fella 🙂
This was my dream rc car 25 years ago!
Really want to build a Nitro RC. It's a bucket list item.
That picco motor is a beast.
I got to admit that is a vicious looking truggy Kev!
I love the nitro content Kev keep going eventually you will figure out tuning
K Lego😊
That was fun Kev....
Lots of gas/nitro videos lately 👍 I hope it will continue ⛽️👍⛽️👍😀
I sugested it a while back in his videos 😀
@@HappyDude1 seems he is listening to you then 😀😀😀
@@Serialcrasher
Yeah he does 😋 sometimes he answers to 😁 maybe he watches my videos 😆
@@HappyDude1 i will have a look at your channel 😀 You can check mine if you want btw 😀 lot of gas/nitro action (but not only)
@@Serialcrasher
I will check it
I do a bit of everything
Mostly model cars and guns from movies with a fun intro
Sickening! The quality of that kit is crazy
The idling sounds great to me
Great Background Tunes!
Nice RC car btw
Thanks for the amazing videos Kevin
2 Strokes are so cool!!!! Get a tuning book Kev!!! You got it
suggest you setup the failsafe on the transmitter if it has the capability. you should be able to set it, to test, turn off the transmitter, you should see the throttle servo revert to brakes. turn back on, back to idle. thats what i do with my nitro on futaba systems
Deal is if you run them in properly they start so much easier
Man, what a great build!!! That was awesome to watch the majority of the process!!! And also, I love your editing skillz!!! 🤘😁
Kyosho has always made the best shocks! What a beautiful machine all around.
Kev that was awesome seeing you building that RC car
I have a bunch of the buggy versions. They are great rc’s. Love the resent videos with gas and nitro. But i love all your videos Kev.
lol @ Kev as a "novice". You've probably wrenched on more different kinds of RCs than anyone else on the planet.
Complimenti per il video dettagliato, veloce nel montaggio ma comprensibile anche per un neofita modellista!!
Grande 😜🤚
I have a Picco in my Kyosho MP9 and I struggled to make it sing. The shop who sold the engine to me got Mick to work his magic on it, and now it's brilliant. He has the Midas touch with engines.
Awesome stuff Kev! I love Kyosho gear, it's just quality. Yeah with a bearing going into a hole that tight, do check it to see if it is still spinning freely. They can crush enough so that they run lumpy and gritty, Though I'm sure you know that.
Nailed the tuning! Nice work 💪. Can't wait to see the track study of your car set up vs a pros! Great idea. Done this myself and it's a crazy difference. Love the higher end engines they respond appropriately to carb adjustments and have a very big "tuned" window. Like MTD vs Husqvarna.... one works everytime predictable and reliable
Rakitan nya...okey juga brooo...mantaappp bangeett...
Sometimes ive found if you buy cheap you buy twice but still cool video though
Kev will definitely come last with this car after that not run in. 😂
Thats the best tuning job you've ever done Kev! Perfect smoke, no bogging, zippy response and consistent idle. Well done sir!
Hey Kev! Great vids as always. My morning tea and coffee is always accompanied by your videos. With the shock sleeves, couldn’t you lube them with a dry lube and slide on or do they not serve that well as functional? Seems like they would trap a lot of dirt. It’s the first time I’ve seen them. For that matter, anyone who sees this please comment. 😂
So funny the best rc channel on CZcams 😅😂😂😂😂😂
WoW I want one NoW lol The rooster tails off the tires at the end was epic, thanks for the great 👍 content
How funny as Stuart set up my mbx -5 and done the paint job on the body. Still have the car now 👍👍
Amazing video Kev keep making these videos
I made shock covers for my hpi Baja outta bike inner tubes. Tight fit and held up really well. Never had one come loose as well.
I am telling you. If we had the modern nitro stuff that we have today back in the 90s nitro would never have died off. Nowadays you can start the engine easily, engines are more reliable and easy to tune, modern fuels that are filled with anti-rust additives. The list goes on
