- We visit Barrio Perchas 2 in the mountains of San Sebastian, Puerto Rico right after leaving Lares. My cousin William, who lives just next to my grandmother's old house, was there and helped us pick some panas or breadfruit and bananas to take home. I also flew the drone over this beautiful neighborhood where my family originated. And I was able to find some coffee seeds to bring back home to New Jersey.

I could stay there forever. I love nature because you feel the peace that you will never find in the city. That's why i live in a rural area and like always; your videos are the best!!👍
I would love to go back to my grandparents house.
Great video Ovi.
Thank you

New subscriber...we have so much in common. My family is from Las Marias/San Sebastian, I was born in San Sebastián and came to Jersey at one year old and been here since. A big part of me hopes to retire on the island. Find myself watching your videos every night lately which I really enjoy. Keep them coming, nicely done.
hello Duran ovi good video thank you so much good job 👍 🎈🎉 🎈 nice place 😄
Another great video!😎👍loved it
Thanks Anibal.
Bellisimo!
Gracias Martha.
Yes well build house,San Sebastian has a beautiful 360 view very nice.THANKS Ovi Duran.
They knew how to build them in the old days.
Your very intelligent. Ovi. God bless you
Thank you. I just try to record some of the mundane things that happen on the island on a daily basis.
Gracias por compartir el video !
Hello Ovi, my name Louie, I was born in New York and raised in Monte Grande, Cabo Rojo...... your video reminded me of my childhood when my grandma and I would go to the monte and pick all kinds of fruits and root vegetables, like pana, aguacate, mangoes, guanábana, yuca, etc. Those were good fond memories...... loved being raised in Puerto
I did some of those things too with my grandma. I only spent seven and a half years there, but they were the best years.
This is the life I want♡ Beautiful.
Pana con bacalao...Mmmmm
Pana con bacalao...Mmmmm
It is so quiet and peaceful up there in the mountains. If I could figure out a way I would buy a house and property there. BTW, the pana was good, and my father made it with bacalao.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm😋😋😋😋😋
I always enjoy your videos. You clearly put a lot of yourself into them. You have an adorable spokesmodel in your sweet neighbor girl, Carla, too.
I finally got to visit Puerto Rico in January after hearing so much good about PR and the people of PR. PR is beautiful and her people are wonderful. Unfortunately my son had an an accident that caused us to spend most of a day with doctors and other medical personnel, but it was still a good experience - if not one we would have chosen - because of the people.
Thank you Brooke. I was there in January as well and returned home on the 12th. I miss it already due to some of the things you point out above. Hopefully I will return in early summer. Hope your son is doing fine after the accident.
That house is so beautiful, you can see history of a simpler, tranquil times people did things to last. My father called the guineitos= niños. You tape that on my BDay!!! I love tostones de pana. Those drone taping!!! Be still my heart, it aches but of yearning.
Yes, that was amazing that the house survived the hurricane. The area where the house is located is such a nice area. Makes me want to buy land there. Maybe grow some pana tress, aguacates, guineitos, platanos, and chickens. Let's not forget the fresh eggs.
Ovi you said your grandparents house is vacant you should fix up and rent as a air bnb . People love to go to the mountains and live the experience for their vacation. I love that house and farm
Beautiful! I love the sounds of Puerto Rico. The roosters! 🥰
Roosters in the morning and the coqui at night. The best of everything.
Good job Ovi!!
Thanks Tony.
Thank for showing San Sabastan
guineitos ninos....my dad loved them...! He was from San Sebastian El Pepino
The small bananas 🍌 are cald guineos niños. And the other plant you were asking is yuca. Nice video 👍🏼.

Que bonita es mi isla de P.R.
La mas bonita. Saludos Migdalia.
Nice video from 64vw of nj, soy nativo de arecibo
Saludos Gustavo. Mañana Lunes viene un video de Arecibo.
Wow! Thank you for a great video. Drone coverage amazing
Saludos Michelle.
what a breathtaking view!!! I feel like a bird flying in freedom over beautiful Puerto Rico. Your drome shots are spectacular. It warms my heart and you sharing your childhood history brings up my childhood memories. They were very happy ones. Looking forward to going back and living there again. Peace and harmony!!
The countryside is beautiful. I so wish I was living there. It's warm all year and you can plant food right in your back yard, as you saw in the video. And the people are all friendly.
As always Ovi, another outstanding video. It makes you feel that you are right there in PR although not physically there. Love your videos and look forward to the next one.
Ovi very good video indeed, really good balance of talk, drone, music. Please keep it up, I think your viewship will skyrocket.
BTW what is the instrumental music you had during the drone fly?
Thanks Frank. Some of my music, like this one, I get from epidemic sound through a yearly subscription. www.epidemicsound.com. I don't have a name since when I download each song I number them. This one, for example, is #49. There are literally thousands of songs to chose from.
My parents were born there. As well as my older brother. I last went as a child. I still have family there. Marques Ramos Galarza.

Eres de San Sebastian?
I built the US Post office in San Sebastian, was working there when 911 happened. Had a wonderful time! World class women and Surf!
Hey Ovi, love your video so much I have the white house right next to your grandmothers house, I can even see my house when you do the aerial videos...BTW you were picking my panas, it's cool 😂😂
Lol. Thanks for the panas. Tu eres la hija de Gladys?
@@oviduran no, I purchased the house from her. Planning on retiring there and looking forward to meeting my new neighbors! Happy blogging see you around ...
@@nataliecoriano5005 OK. My father thought you may be Gladys' daughter. Happy future retirement. You may see me climbing your pana tree some day. Lol
@@oviduran thanks and hey, save some for me LOL
Remember that i mention about you made a video about you introducing a cousin that lived in Vineland New Jersey and you said that you didn't had a cousin living in Jersey well here it's the video man you had me breaking my head I know I wasn't going crazy 😂✌️
Alexis, you are correct! My apologies. I now do remember that this cousin told me that he did live in Vineland. He doesn't live there now. He moved back to Puerto Rico many years ago and is very happy in San Sebastian. The same neighborhood he was born in.
Yuka Bendito
I’ve been trying to find my great grandmothers house out there for years. I know it’s in San Sebastián’s mountains, but my grandmother can’t seem to decipher anything past it being on Calle 8.
😎👍🇵🇷
They all moved to Mayaguez. Where I was born. But I was3 when my mother and father moved to Jersey
I was born in Newark, now living in Cherry Hill.

Seeing the chickens and roosters reminded me about the period of time that I spent in Caguas years ago. It surprised me there were so many roosters that I could not tell when one finished another started. It took a little for me to get used to them and the coquis, but I thought it was kinda cool. Carla has such a sweet smile!
Margie, you can hear the rooster in the morning and the coquis at night. They both make the place special.
And, Carla is my father's neighbor. She is such a sweet little person.
Saudis Ovi! Those old houses were built well. I'm glad your grandparents house survived. Ir will be around another 100 years.
Spectacular mountain views!
Maribel, right before and after hurricane Maria we were certain this house would fly away, but it didn't. Not even the roof. It remains intact. I heard that there is a way to build wood houses that can withstand such a force. Looks like my grandfather knew the secret to that over 60 years ago.
@@oviduranYour grandfather sue knew what he was doing. that is a beautiful roof! It's not like many others that I've seen. A house built with love can withstand any storm. BTW, those bananas are guineitos niños. So sweet and so good!
Hey Ovi, great video. I wanted to ask is your dad the owner of your grandparents home? I ask because I wanted to know if it is for rent or sale? I'm just curious, Godspeed and thank you so very much for putting these videos up. I LOVE PUERTO RICO...
He is the owner but it is not for rent at present. Someone else lived it for ten years and it needs a lot of repairs. It's going to take a while before all the repairs are done. But he may have other plans for it. Thanks for asking.
Saludos.
Always a thumbs up. There's a big mall between hatillo and areciboon on the old number 2. nice drone footage. My Family is from carrizales............🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Y ellas crecieron buy bien.

Guineos manzanos
I have an opportunity to move to San Sebastian how are gringos treated there
Sean, my uncle Kenny was a gringo (he has passed away) and he lived there six months out of the year and he got along with everything just fine. Great place to live.
Thank you for responding to me I'm flattered, I enjoy your videos very much and have been watching them in an effort to summon up the courage for an adventure
Go for the adventure. There are many that travel the island every day and Spanish is not required. Check out the area where you think you want to live.
Thank you Sir I'm a navy vet as well
Depend on how you treat the puertorricans and how you respect us....and anyway it will be great if you learn Spanish and respect the culture.

Where is ur grand father's land ??
The land he owned is about a mile from here.
do you need a special permit to bring the drone to Puerto Rico
No permit needed in Puerto Rico, but the same drone flying rules of the United States apply on the island. Can't fly within five miles of an airport, over people, etc. But it is OK to bring a drone. Many isolated places where you can fly.
@@oviduran about in the Airport they give you hard time
to bring to the island
