I really like these side to side comparison videos! I know they’re hard to set up but they’re very informative thanks Ben!
I definitely like the Camaro interior better than 24 Mustang Screen crap. I have owned about 17 Mustangs and currently own one now. I have been thinking about a Camaro on the next purchase. No kidding my dealership just got a 2SS 1LE, sold within 4 days.
Totally get it with that chime never was a fan of it ,that would be reason for me too for not buying a Ford@Brian_Eugene_Lee
It's the same setup as BMW's and a lot of other modern cars. I wish the dash screen was better implemented but its not a deal breaker at all. The new Mustang has Ford CoPilot's Safety features (Camaro LT1 and 1SS have ZERO safety features), It is more powerful and faster than a Camaro. It has a much better sounding stock exhaust than a Camaro. It has notably better visibility than a Camaro. It has tech like rain sensing wipers, auto high beams, remote rev, etc. etc. that Camaro doesn't have. Overall, the Mustang offers so much more for the same price, or even less sometimes. Camaro is due for a major redesign, but obviously wont get one.
Problem with the tech screens in the Mustang is that they will age quickly. Just like a cell phone or laptop they will quickly date themselves.
Chevy Camaro looks good
mustang looks better
RIP Camaro. Hope Chevy don't use the name on some soulless 7 seater SUV EV.
Oh you mean the same way Ford did?? 🤡
@@G-RatedAt least Ford is keeping the normal mustang alive.
@@themidnighttavern6784 and *gm* has taken the Chevrolet Corvette to a mid-engine platform that competes with actual Ferraris and McLarens. Why are y’all always bringing up the Camaro’s discontinuation as if that suddenly makes Ford the better company?
Chevy just copied off the Ford Gt 40 mid engine platform ,fords been there already an done that and is still pumping out GT 40 Super Cars successfully Gm just wokeup allofasudden!!! Lol
@@denzelbutler6713 *gm* “woke up” all of a sudden and built a affordable American Ferrari meanwhile Ford has been offering you a half a million dollar GT and you think they just did the same thing? Lmdao. It sums up you Ford buyers and how you’re able to be so delusional. *gm* didn’t copy Ford’s GT with their Chevrolet Corvette, *gm* made Ford’s GT look stupid and laughably overpriced.
Both excellent cars. A matter of preference, personally I think the Camaro is more of a sports car with a muscle car engine. The new Mustang S650 looks more Camaro than ever, love the exhaust note probably more than the Camaro's. I'm not a big fan of the huge screens, will likely not age well and potentially an expensive item to go wrong for those who intend on keeping their vehicles for a long time. The Challenger was also a nice option in this class, however here in the Northeast U.S. area they are seemingly everywhere. The Honda Accord of muscle cars.
Thanks, Ben. Very nice video.
is there a track mode option on this LT1? if not it makes a noticeable difference.
Owned 2 Camaro’s always loved them. Recently just traded in my Veloster N/PP for a Mustang S650. So far 700 miles in on the car I’m super happy with it. And it feels like an unpopular opinion but I love that they modernized it with the screens and how much you can customize them. From the ‘65 to the Foxbody and all the other layouts for the modes and even changing the colors of the layout and ambient lighting in the car.
Wow, I hope that was a great ride on determining which car is better through the parking lot
The digital dash on the Mustang is terrible. It makes the Playskool Camaro dash look great. I'd take the Camaro all day. If it was a commuter car, maybe I'd consider the Stang.
I really like your review videos, and appreciate your efforts you put in to upload video literally everyday.
Which is better in visibility inside?
Who has much more bad vision or less vision on outside when your inside?
LT1 Camaro grill is ugly, The Camaro SS grill is different and much more aggressive. The LT1 is just a base 6 cylinder trim with a v8 eng. for those on a budget.
The LT1 Camaro was built for a reason. It is to target the people who wanted the lightest possible car with the biggest power train available.
It's based on a certain "old school" philosophy rooted in drag racing.
In traditional musclecar culture, for example, you had some guys that wanted a GTO, but they wanted a rag top (convertible cars are pretty, but usually are heavier than coupes because of the extra bracing needed in the frame, after you remove the roof structure) with as many possible options as you could get. That car was likely going to be for cruising and ego boosting. These guys were called "posers." As in "pretending or posing" to be serious about speed.
Then, there was another group of guys that were considered "hard core" muscle heads. They would order a GTO coupe with the optional Tri-Power engine, a 4spd, steel wheels with dog dish hub caps, and deep rear gears. They would order the car with as few options as possible to make the car as light as possible. They considered themselves to be more serious about going fast. It was also a way to go fast when you didn't have extra money to spend.
The LT1 has less content offered for options as it is built in the spirit of those that only care about one thing. Going fast.
@@robertc4311 LT1 grill is ugly.
The Camaro is faster and drives much better. I’ve driven both and I have a strong feeling you’re a Ford guy, not me…I’m GM, BMW & VW.
We got a strong feeling you’re a low quality guy 😂
I put any bias aside and choose Camaro
@@mikeformato8655 sounds like u like being in the service bay 😂 it’s ok the Camaro lives on in the body lines of the mustang
The Camero feels cheap... It's not any faster in real life.. I have driven both for over a month.. the mustang is a better car all around.. and I just pulled on a ss like 30mins ago.. he wasn't faster for sure...lol...
Chevrolet should’ve put more into the Camaro since it’s the last year.
Did you listen to the review? It has a better Manuel transmission, better driving feel, and feels smaller/lighter (thanks to the chassis). They didn’t need to give it anything more as it already is competing with a brand new redesigned Mustang post discontinuation. The Camaro has everything it needs, it’s the reason the new Mustang is as good as it is.
@G-Rated Seems a bit funny to say all that and yet the Mustang is the best selling and still selling it's entire existence
@@leofhr2966, Ford is just a better selling car company. But, that doesn’t mean the 2024 Mustang is better than the 2024 Camaro.
@joehenry9546 Sorry but the logic doesn't quiet add up you know, you don't sell unless there is a clear and cut reason to why you sell. McDonalds sells the most burgers last I checked, not because they are good at all (far from it) but because they are cheap, would you call the Mustang cheap ? I have seen plenty of people saying how expensive it is even tho it's very comparable to other priced cars. Either way it's surely not the pricing that sells, so what else ? Why does it continue to sell and has always sold the most and best ?
@@leofhr2966 that just means there are more people in N. America shopping in this particular niche segment that want a Ford than there are people who want the Chevrolet or Dodge. It doesn’t change the fact that everything I said about the Chevrolet Camaro is true.
I love them BOTH 😍🤩
The front on the Mustang is sooo much better than the Camaro, which looks like some cheap rental car version.
I'd rather drive a Camaro personally as my daily driver. It's just my preference.
I agree
mustang looks better
I'd rather have a camaro though Mustang has better vision for a daily... scratch that... I do have a camaro 😂
@@mikeformato8655 I agree but my family has both chevrolet and ford.
@@rebelcave8556 Yeah, same here but, I don't have one. Instead, I drive a Honda Accord. My family actually owns both Chevrolet and Ford.
In regards to the Mustang, the more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.
They both look sick
Where have you been !!?? Love your videos !
With all fairness and no bias I did not think I would feel this way. You can put me on team Camaro! Its a shame to put an end to it. That is one all around cool car! Both sporty AND practical.
I bought a V6 Camaro this year, and it’s the best sports car I’ve owned. I would have upgraded eventually to a 2SS or ZL1 in a few years. But, that’s no longer an option for me sadly.
The comparison would be 1LE vs Mach 1 10spd
I’m a ford guy, I’d have to go with the s650
Mustangs are like red cars everybody and their brother has one?😂😂😂
I love Camaros and Mustangs but I hate the look of the new Mustangs. The Camaro looks way better. When it comes to the modern muscle cars, I think the Challenger has the best looks, but the Camaro has the best performance.
@hustler1992 - And both Camaro and Challenger are discontinued!
Ik mustang was my dream car ever since a child but as a grown man I'm really thinking Abt switching I haven't really been liking the designs of any of the mustangs ever since 2018 also the Camaro has been blowing the mustang out in terms of the designs for a minute plus I seem more attracted to the camaraos interior as well I love how everything is so black and dark in the inside on the mustang nawt to much well it is but nawt as much as the Camaro anyway
Mustang screwed up with that Tesla looking dash. Nothing at all sporty about it.
I`m really not feeling the front end on the Camaro, but the 10 speed is the way to go in either car
Looks way sharper than the mustang.
@@aldovillarreal9572 yet its not better looking
@@TurboClashShowdownssyep at this point I’d rather have the 1ss look
This has never been close. The clear winner is the Ford Mustang 🐎
It should have been the SS instead of the LT1. They are engineered and set up differently.
Camaro exhaust sounds way better. Mustang exhaust sounds coming through tin mufflers.
I agree
Easy to see which car you liked. When you were in the Camaro it was how bad it was to the Mustang and in the Mustang it was more about how bad the Camaro was.
Mustang gage cluster is ugly. Looks like someone glued a tablet to the dash. Lacks style.
Tesla drivers probably like it....😊
The transmissions r the same . Ford Chevy built them together. They suck in long term ownership. Manual will last longer on both . Camaro has a much better manual. I prefer the alpha platform the Camaro sits on . I hate the iPad dash in the ford it’s awful terrible glare . The ride in the Camaro is a little better but I personally don’t care about that. The interior quality is better than the ford . I have a ZL1manual. To get similar performance out of a ford I’d have to pay 15K more for a gt 500 but the dealership is marking them up over 90 and 100k . I’ll keep my ZL1 I paid 75K for Honestly I like everything about the Camaro better than the Ford. The Ford has good exterior looks I give it that. The Ford seems to channel the 67 fastback in my opinion which was a beautiful car. The Camaro seems to channel 67 Camaro since they it down seven years ago.. I hate the 2024 Camaro. Special package cars that are just stickers. they really look cheap. I don’t like stickers.
Should take the engine to redline ice cold.
Don't you mean shouldn't especially before break-in?
@@stevensevek6151 modern engines are broken in from the factory they are ready to rip
No, no they're not.
@@clevejason Oh nooo. You'd think so because of the popularity of roller valve trains, but the rings still need to seat properly under load. For example, Dodges SRT developed engines not allow full use of advertised power until the car has 1.5 k miles.
Camaro all day............
Let’s imagine for a minute that the Camaro made continuous improvements (engine, suspension, etc) over the last 8 years. The Mustang has had to make how many changes to keep up? You are competing against a car that is essentially the same sine 2016. The only thing holding the Camaro back was the Corvette. Mustang you have to make engine changes (how many since2016 transmissions etc) come on guys. Ford is more popular but Camaro still has better core engineering.
A lot of good that "better core engineering" has done!
@@Loulovesspeed Example. Hyundai sells more cars than Porsche. Does that make Hyundai a better car? And I’m sure you won’t get it. I have a 2SS and when I bought it I tried the GT Premium. Just because more people owned Mustangs it wasn’t the car for me. It felt as if Ford was doing “just enough” for the buyers. The Camaro has some compromises (basically all related to outward visibility) but I wanted a V8 powered manual transmission sports car. That’s what I have.
@@1211home - It will be interesting to see what car replaces it for you down the road! Funny you mentioned the Camaro's outward visibility issue. I worked as a sales rep. for a Ford dealer 25 years ago and they sent me to a few competitor dealerships to act like I was looking for a new car, and to make note of what the sales reps did, both good and bad. I took out a Camaro Z28 at a Chevy dealership in West Hartford, Conn. and the very first thing I noticed after getting in was the terrible lack of vision out the side window! They haven't changed that problem even today! My late wife had a '74 Corvette and when I first got into that, I noticed you almost had to sit up to see over the side door edge and I'm 5'11". Seemed like you were sitting on the floor trying to see over the high door frame! I dislike anything that interferes with my outward vision as it is a definite safety hazard. Kinda like the '63 Split window Vette, which many others had the same concern with as it was a one year design. I will say that the most powerful car I have been in was a '69 Baldwin Motion Camaro a college roommate had. That car was one fast S.O.B.
@@Loulovesspeed I’m an old timer. I always wanted a low, wide and somewhat uncomfortable car for recreational use. I’ve learned how to drive my car and judge sight lines. The only really challenging vision out bound is on the right forward quarter. Most people don’t know how to use mirrors etc…could the outward vision be better? Sure. I’ll tell you the car is built for minimal flex and that gives more cornering confidence. Cam in block gives lower CG so they always has handling as a key performance objective. Have a great day..
@@1211home - Well sir, I have many miles under my belt too. Been on the road 58 years now, have driven many different vehicles, big, small, mid size, sporty, mundane, etc. I always use my mirrors and signals, something too many today don't bother with. I took driver Ed. on a standard shift and part of the final test was to stop part way up a good incline, then release the brakes and go forward without sliding back more than 8 inches. The instructor was impressed that I did it so well he said "If I didn't know better, I'd figure you had been driving for years." I said to him, well, my Mom taught me how to drive a stick 2 years ago. He replied, well, she did a damn good job! I said, I know she did, thanks. Enjoy your day too.
Camaro over Mousetang all day long! This geek is so obviously biased it's sickening.
I tested a Camaro 10 years ago and it was like sitting in a submarine
Ford is so lost without *gm.* Apples to oranges for sure in price and that goes to show you what each manufacturer was able to do for the money. For the price of the Mustang *gm* would’ve blew it out of the water in a redesign. Hell, this 2023 Chevy is giving the much more expensive and brand new Mustang a run. That’s pretty embarrassing!
Another unshakable fan of Geriatric Motors! Seriously, look at the increasing number of old farts you see behind the wheel of the Corvettes these days.
@@LoulovesspeedThat is, and always has been about having disposable income.
Like it or not, Corvettes are considered aspirational "halo cars" by many.
As you probably know, Vettes are more expensive than Stangs and Camaros. Older people generally have more money to burn because the crumb snatchers no longer have their hands in their pockets, and they are usually at peak income from having been in their careers longer...
@G-Rated - What is even more embarrassing is the Camaro has ended production as of Deccember 24, 2023! The iconic Camaro V8 is history! The Mustang has nothing to be embarrassed about as it is the best selling sports coupe......in the world, for the last 9 years! I would rephrase your comment to say GM is so lost without Ford!! Be honest, the Camaro never would have been made if Ford hadn't beat them in producing the first pony car in 1965. It's only fitting that the Ford Mustang is the last of the breed!
@@Loulovesspeed nothing embarrassing about discontinuing the Camaro, the Corvette is all anyone ever talks about and it makes much more money.
The only thing *gm* has ever needed Ford for was to light a fire under their own butts and actually try. They’ve never needed Ford in order to actually be *competitive* in any segment, and that’s the difference. You Ford fanboys are delusional.
@@G-Rated - Well, you made one correct statement there! GM has very definitely needed Ford to light a fire under GM's ass to get new model types made.. Examples: Ford created the first full bodied, ready to roll pickup truck in 1925. GM had a pickup chassis in 1918, but that's all it was, a bare chassis. Then one needed to have a custom built body for it. Ford created the first utility van with the 1961 Econoline. GM followed in 1964. Ford produced the first passenger car bodied pickup with the Ranchero in 1956. Chevy followed again with the El Camino in 1959. Ford produced the first 2 dr. sport coupe/convertible V8 powered car in 1965 with the Mustang. Chevy followed once more in 1967 with the Camaro. Ford produced the Mustang GT 350 in 2016 with the first use of a flat plane crankshaft in an American car. The Corvette followed in 2023. Ford produced the first subcompact, the Pinto in 1970. The Chevy Vega followed in 1971. These are facts, not delusions! Ford has set the stage for more new vehicle types over the years than Chevy ever dreamed of!
Click bait
Firstly, the GT you are testing is the lowest range at 460 hp, the better GT performance vehicle is 486 hp and is better all around as it has better components.
Need to have all the facts before posting for your audience to see. Having said that, for me, I prefer the Mustang. It’s a shame that there will be no Camaro V8 made again, it was a great muscle car and the good competition to keep all the muscle car manufacturers on their toes to improve their vehicles. Who knows, they might make a comeback in the future along with Dodge? In the meantime, go Ford, keep making those ICE V8’s
All new Mustangs are 486hp 418 Tq. 460hp was pre 2024.
@@matrox 450 actually pre 2024, pre 2022 was 460.
I would have taken a 2015 Camaro over a 2015 mustang, but that changed in 2018 when the mustang was refreshed. Id take a v8 mustang over a Camaro after 2018
Camaro sounds raspy not a fan
Ford is better in my opinion 👍🏽.
60K 😂😂 sounds like it’s getting RIP like CA economy.. hey boys 20 to 30 u work hard to study don’t be STuPi ..D getting in a HuGE DEBT for more the 1K of month ..
Camaro. The Mustang is just a ugly car.
Mustang.
I will take the Mustang any day of the week, especially now that Chevrolet got rid of the Camaro. They are playing to the playbook of the powers that be in Washington and they're stupid for doing that. So, I am going over to Ford as a giant F you to GM. Enough said.
Dodge challenger is the new camaro everything else look like crap
Neither because they are not muscle cars, more like sports coupes!
Actually they are traditionally considered as Pony Cars. They are a sub-set of musclecars.
😊True, but they have moved beyond the pony car label now.
Mustang better, overhall! Camaro designs feels older...
Camaros tail lights are awful. Look like my kids swimming goggles.
I disagree. The tail lights look are more Corvette-like on these newer Camaros.
Production of 2024 Camaro has ended. Short run. My biggest problem with Camaro is driving position and terrible visibilty. Thank god for 360 camera. Driving position in Mustang is more upright and much better visibility.
