Joyce you just called me out when you said to speak to someone privately instead of a bunch of other people first. I was literally doing that right when you said it, now next time I am going to try and confront the person privately in a mature, Biblical manner.
I'm also guilty.. sort of.. I called out the behavior of a person in bible study group.without naming the offender and asked how can I not get so offended over these types of nonverbal body language types of behaviors. When people look at you like you are the bubble gum stuck to the bottom of their shoe. Over and over again it's hurtful. I tried to turn the other cheek.. but I only have Four

Spirit of anger and you become more like them.
Spirit of Love and you become more like your Father.
Have no anger or judgment on them whatsoever.

I confronted my hubby for 15 years with all the consequences of being hit many times over the years. Finally, the case is in the police with all the evidence of visum etc repertum. Wisdom and discernment are needed in dealing with these issues. Relying on God in difficult times are the right way to face storms in life. Thank you for sharing the wisdom, Joyce. Sigh the most dangerous thing to go through. Those emotions of hate and fear is so toxic. Confronting your past is the most scariest thing anyone can ever go through but it's the way to move forward.
I stood up to a neighborhood drug dealer. They threatened my life, but God brought me through and gave me strength. I continued helping the police and the task force rolled up on them in force 3 am one morning and cleared them out of the neighborhood. God rules!

Jesus Christ healed me!! This is my story about my healing! I was extremely ill! I had diabetes and kidney failure, which urgently requires dialysis! I prayed to God to heal me, not for me, because I don't deserve it, but for my little children, who were left without a mother! in exactly that day, in which I prayed, the Lord healed me! I suddenly felt the pain in my kidneys go away, as well as the dryness in my mouth (diabetes). I'm a new women now! I thank the Lord for His mercy and love for us!

Confrontation is a requirement in life just as grace is necessity in life. If you didn’t learn to confront others in your upbringing. You are going to have to learn to do it, if you are going to reach your God given potential. It has taken me many years to learn how to confront others. It not easy to do, but very rewarding to learn to stand up for yourself. Rather than let others run over you and control your life. If you need to hire a counselor to learn how to confront. DO IT!
I needed this. I am learning to stand up for myself God's way. But I am starting to confront but not everyone will except it. But you know what that is ok. Because My Loving Father Loves me for whom I am . I am His beloved Daughter and His Priccess. He showed me I was His Princess to me but also in front of a group of Christians lady's. He used some I had just met. We didn't know each other. We were praying for each other. She didn't know my father had started sexually abusing me when I was five. My whole I thought I wasn't worth anything. I was now 56. She starting praying for me then all of a sudden she said. Rita your Heavenly Father wants you to know. RRita I am your Father and I love You. You are My Princess also. There is really when I knew I was loved and I didn't have to do everything He said , to get Him to love me . I am now 71 and He is still showing me How much He loves me because I am HIS DAUGHTER. I am finally learning I can craw up into His lap. He loves me as I am. He will never hurt me. He loves me because He wanted me. Psalms 149 has become real to me. I am saying this because I am in a place now. Where two people think I am not good enough. I can never do anything right right. I have to do what they want. But He is showing me through other people. VI am good enough. That other people do love me. Thank you Father for loving me and being proud of me. But what is the most important to me. He has used my life to help others. Some I know and some I don't. Thank you Joyve from all my heart. You are one of the main reason I know I am worth something and My Father God loves me

I love Joyce Myers. She has such a intelligence and awareness of human nature. She is a child of God in one act of forgiveness...she forgave her Dad and Mom for something that is unforgivable. Only a person filled with God's Holy Spirit can do this. She talks of things that pastors don't normally talk of and need to(,such as the consistent issue of sexual violence done by males towards women, porn and incest that yes is in church pews))and knows the Holy Bible as only someone who studies it can. She is truly of God's.
This issue of not confronting those who intentionally harm us is a sore spot for most of us. Yet, if you have the courage to speak openly to the one who offended you, and do it in a Biblical as possible manner, then your healing yourself. Even, as in many many times, they will not take accountability for their actions and walk away or twist your words etc. For me, who is Christian, I am not sure I could forgive a male Dad who repeatly raped me, , and a Mom and other family members who knew (,often in the next room) and did nothing. Yet Joyce Myers has forgiven her Dad. She is given a better chance in venting her pain because she does openly speak of her abused childhood sometimes in her conference's. Not many that are sexual harassed, DV, raped or abused have such a public forum. But Ms Myers is a grand example of strength, courage, intelligence and most importantly of what a child of God is.

This is so true. I am in the midst of this with a husband that is possessed by demons that torment me endlessly. Always there to control and create strife. I have had to stand up against these foul spirits. I am not sure I should stay in this marriage of 20 years. I finally was able to see that it is evil creating this continual misery . Anyone have experience with this? Please pray for me that I do what Jesus would have me do.

My husband tends to be controlling sometimes. And the devil loves using him to make me angry. When I'm pushed to my limit my temper explodes. And I'm usually a very calm and chill person. My husband is the only one that exacerbates my anger. I'm learning how to control my anger when my husband upsets me. I don't like confrontation but I feel better when I confront my husband about his behavior.
And what behavior and environment do you set for him that causes him to be confrontational and angry. It’s NEVER a one way street.

You are so right about confrontation, 40 years ago I was thrown down in a bathroom and raped! In 2018 the person (rapist) died on 8/18/2018.He was a UN secretary and recipient of the Noble Peace Prize. I could not confront him or the situation until after he passed.(I did receive an apology from the UN, but not from his foundation! Yes you must confront your problems!

My father beat me from little. I turned to Jesus at 15 years old. They called me a Jesus freak. Moved out at 17. My fear of aggressive, dominant people still affects me. I pray on it daily.
Currently a coworker is unkind. I forgive her. She will not talk to me.
Told a spiritual friend. Co worker almost knocked me over. Pray and gave it all to God.
Made mistake of telling another coworker who I thought I could trust. Now I need to forgive myself.

Good evening Joyce Myers and ministry I enjoyed your sermon title evening well said. That's so true about confirmation. When someone does you wrong to you . You don't go behind that person back, you face that person face to face and you let them know that you don't like what they say about you. Or the situation that you and them face. I've been there before with one of my sister in Church. There were something said before in front of everyone and I hold a meeting with myself and the sister and my pastor . And it was settle and it was done . God doesn't like gasippy God is a loving caring compassionate God and God believe that we must forgive each other , as he forgive us. Remember the prayer, our father who Art in heaven and it go on. Listen Joyce Myers you just keep on spreading the gospel I know that God is using you to bring the gospel to the world. I am a peacemaker and hate confrontation! Before God I bare my soul and sometimes I see things I do not love. Yesterday I felt such dismay and anger when my friend finally got in touch with me. She is a beautiful soul, a star in the universe, and goes to every prayer meeting and function at a local church. She often confides in me about her issues, but generally brushes off the bullying she has suffered because of her background (Islander). I love her to bits and pray for her. But, over a month ago she stopped communicating with me. I sent text and voice messages but had no response. I was so worried about here and with Covid and the floods here I felt trapped and prayed for her a lot. Finally, at the end of our catch up (always a long call), I said, "I was so worried about you... etc.," she confided that the Pastor had told the congregation "To leave their phones alone and spend time with God instead." I am not angry with her, but with "bullying" preachers (not you at all, please), mainly males who have no regard for the minds of their people and their affect on others'. She mistook "Using her phone" with "Ringing a dear friend" and they need to man-up and explain in simple terms what they actually mean! Some people are not accustomed to the Western World of snuggling up to their phone 24 hours a day. Please do a sensible talk about these types of missunderstandings that people get confused and led astray with! This dear lady is constantly getting the message screwed up because it is screwed up.
