Confronting Others with Grace - Deborah Pegues

- Confrontation doesn't have to be a scary thing. Deborah Pegues describes the true intent behind confrontation - coming together face-to-face to resolve a problem and achieve unity. She suggests using the sandwich method to deliver the issue (bread to soften the blow, the meat of the problem, more bread to soften). She compares retaliation with confrontation, then offers four confrontational styles - the Dictator, the Abdicator, the Collaborator, and the Accomodator. You'll learn confrontation strategies, such as knowing the purpose of the confrontation, owning the problem, speaking the right words, listening, negotiating, and forgiveness.
What a joy it was to share this message on Focus. I love these guys! May God's best be theirs!
You are always a pleasure to listen to.
And yours as well, Deborah! Thanks for this awesome message, I am definitely putting your advice into practice.
please say HOUSE instead of home cuz it's VERY HURTFUL HOW my parents treated me! PLEASE DON'T FORGET!
Thank you for teaching us to really lean into the strength of the Lord. This has helped me to remember I have my confidence from the Lord so I don't need to fear man. 💕
I really enjoyed listening to Deborah. Thank you for bringing her to the table at Focus! :)
This guest Deborah is such a blessing. I am always encouraged when you have her on your program.
So good! My only complaint is that it wasn’t long enough! I tend to be confrontational but am learning how to do it through/with/by love.
Blessed are the Peace Makers!!
I've been getting so much out of these, thank you Focus on the Family and your guests!🙌

Confrontation: coming together face-to-face
I loved this
Love her insights! Thank you!!
Great insight. I appriciate this message very much!
This is good. Now for me being from NY, when someone wraps their confrontation in nice words, it insults me more. I think they are dumbing it down for me. I like people to be more direct and honest.
Me too. I hate with a passion passive aggressive.
Great advice
