This is PC only apparently. So from what i have found out its a locked chest on console
have you found any hunting spears after the main story? i have a mod that allows you to equip polearms as a primary weapon. I've seen some soldiers in the main story carrying them but i can't see to find any after the story.
No you can get it on console as well. When you first go there it has junk but what I did was take everything out of the box then later in the game went back and it’s all there. :)
Also by later in the game I mean probably about a week in game time. I haven’t even started the neuhof quest yet just to let you know where I’m at in the game.

Yeah just try it yesterday with my game patched to 1.3.3, sadly there's no chest at all at that camp.

I got the chest before they removed it had the st georges sword then after the patch the sword dissapeared
this chest appears only at the end of the main quest. When you ride towards the end of the map with Hans Capon you stop at this camp and then that chest is going to appear. Maybe it appears earlier but at the start of the game, it is not there for sure. Tested on the latest PS4 version of the game.
Tested it on pc too and no chest because this resonant is a fraud. He lied about the chest. He spawned it and then putted in all the best lootable stuff. For example the St Georges sword is only aquirable by digging it out and not from the chest like this pecker sucking lying piece of crap said...
Tested on PC right after getting to Rattay. The chest is NOT there

I don’t understand why they patched this... I mean it totally believable that some knights removed their armor and placed it in a chest to go hunt. It’s immersive. I don’t know why they took it out
Rob Tuzzio because they're wankers. They removed all of the exploits as well. And made the other St George sword chest a hard locked one. Not only that but if you've already picked up the St George sword from this video, they've released a patch to remove it from your inventory. It's a single player game. We should get to play it however we like.

it's accessable from the opening hours of gameplay. if you broke the game this hard that quick, one would only assume you would go and use this armor from the gate. in order to allow you to progress naturally, they removed it. speedrunners are screwed by this though, so 1/10
@Apple Tek Support yeah except "cheat codes" disable achievements and are not canon in the story. That broken chest was part of the story, and was accessible w/o having to cheat or grind. You can't find a random chest in skyrim containing the best gear without having to grind for it. Using console commands is not part of the actual game, nor is the cheat codes in gta. My argument is that good games don't put such broken shit in the main story, otherwise it defeats the purpose of having consequence or excitement during the challenges the game provides. They put those external cheats for those who want to play like pussies, and keep it out of range for those who want to actually play the game it's supposed to be played. Also you used the word "exploit" incorrectly. Exploits are flaws in the game the devs try their best to remove in both single and multiplayer.
The chest shown at 2:27 is shown to you by Sir Capon or whatever his name is after you complete the game. After the credits role there is a quest titled "Epilogue" which pretty much consists of you following him on horseback to this camp and then talking to him to officially end the game and get the end game achievement. I would recommend getting the armor and weapons before the end of the game though, because Sir Capon brings knights with him that will arrest you for looking in the chest, giving you a bad relation with Rattay.

That camp is from the End of the game. Once you finish the final "mission" you get a quest to set out with Lord Capon and y'all start riding to that camp and when u get there you get to talk to him and he's basically like, " Go finish whatever you have to do before we set out." And when u say ur ready it ends the game. But yea that camp is where Capon and some guards/knights stay until ur ready.
This chest isnt here until you ride out with Hans at the end.

Ah so that's how they changed it up. So I still can get this stuff. I already have a st georgs sword, so I don't really care that the chest only appears after the story line.
I don't like this helmets though. They are Immersive yes... But I like to see at least a bit... I use a helmet with nasal and even the restrictions in sight that this gives you can hinder you sometimes. (Not as bad as one with full visor does, though)

I bought the game today March 2nd and I went there and I was able to get everything. The chest wasn’t even locked. I got all this armor within 5-7 hours of starting the game. After the prologue I went to all the dig sites from the treasure maps to grab the loot and stopped to check to see if the armor in this chest was available. Great stuff.
I got near end game gear by returning to Skalitz as soon as posible after doing the mission where you get the ring from the executioner. You will find two groups fighting each other (cumans, soldiers or bandits). What you have to do is spot them and then sleep in any bed you can find outside the fence. When you return, all warriors should be dead, so you can loot their corpses to get gear to equip on yourself, and then sell whatever you don't need. You have to wait at least two in game days to repeat this exploit

this is the camp that Hans Capon goes to at the end of the game before you talk to him and ride off to "The End" so im guessinbg it's all of Capon's stuff BUG !

An exploit I found when playing the game was on Skalitz, just after finishing that mission where you have a fistfight with Hans in the bar. I can't remember why but I traveled all the way back to Skalitz and at the entrance just outside the fence I could see a skirmish between either Cumans, bandits or soldiers. I knew I was going to get my ass handed to me so I saved the game with a bed that was in a cabin outside the town, and when I returned I found that everyone was gone, leaving only the corpses behind and free to loot. That way I got myself a nice set of endgame armor and weapons, plus a lot of other items to sell for maximum profit. Don't know if that trick still works tho

Not an exploit, but a very valid tactic. There's always a large battle going on there so all you need to do is go there, gather loot, store or sell loot and come back and there will be another battle going on. You'll get upwards of 4-5k each time you come back, I even got 11k coming back from there as well.
you can always just travel back to skalitz and find a skirmish between the talmberg guards who were sent there to patrol the town ruins and random high level bandits. that's how i made my first good heap of groschen
I always do that everytime I need money. I usually left with loots 15k-25k worth of groschen. Remember to buy large saddle tho since armors are very heavy

You can steal St. George's sword from Capon during the sidequests when he's in the bathhouse. He leaves his sword in a chest behind where he is bathing. The chest isn't locked.

As an alternative, if you go back to Skelitz main gate after arriving at Rattay, inside you'll see some guards fighting some bandits with some mid tier, and sometimes very high level armour on their corpses.

I would just say go into the Rattay castle armory and get the gear you are supposed to get later in the game. Guards won't mind you being in there and when they are gone you can grab it and it won't be counted as stealing.

i went to that camp straight away and dont get me wrong it does give you a really good start and im still wearing 80% of the armor 70 hours in but its still challenging against various NPCs when your stats are low and your game knowledge isnt that high like mine was when i started. i wouldnt say youll thrash everything you come across regardless but it is nice to get your hands on early in the game!
If you go back to the chest at the end of the game (when you have the epilogue quest) and wait until night, Capon will leave all his gear in the chest

Ya'll can just use Takedown, sneak into Sir Radzig's camp at Mehojed, and steal some chump's armor. Best thing about it is that you can actually find lots or rare equipment and weaponry.
Sure, you'll have to wait a while until the stolen symbol is gone, but nevertheless, it's practically free armor.
PS: Not only do they have Nurembergian Cuirasses, but also Magdeburg Cuirasses as well, and all manner powerful weapons, like the Heavy warhammer, the Raven's Beak, the Duellist. And they have Noble Hauberks and much more.

@@RandomGuy-xc4zl Then you must get better, guards and soldiers NPC have pretty high lvls. You are not guaranteed to knock someone out unless they sleep - there is strenght check on doing that.
and about the using of weaponry you are right,the hint usually pops-up mentioning you are trying to use a weapon you arent lets say prepared to.

You could do this, but remember that it ruins a good big portion of the game.
I picked it up and played with it for a couple of hours before i just stored everything in my chest.
If you really suck at combat and need a boost, fine. But it's going to take away all of the games gear progression and a lot of the fun.

hantront No, what gets rid of fun is your ridiculous damage once you hit 10-12 strength. I go around in nobleman's attire just for the challenge, dueling and actively seeking ambushes to get caught up in. Zero challenge with decent gear/high level. At the*SPOILERS AHEAD* At the camp where you get captured and all your gear taken, I attacked a guard (BARE FISTED), knocking him out after a few hits on the helmet. Grabbed his shit, and proceeded to kill every guard between that camp and the entrance. Went back with lockpicks I took off the corpses, got my shit back. Finished mission. THAT'S what ruins the fun lol.
I think they just really need to up the defense factor on armor. I don't care how sharp my sword is or how high its arbitrary "damage" amount is, I should NOT be able to kill someone in full plate, chain and gambeson to boot in A SINGLE strike to the chest :/
Along with the fact that when the player is in plate armor, you're indestructible.
Slip up over and over again, as long as they don't have a mace they barely chip away at the armors defense. Then you get fucking st.georges sword which is, what the most powerful sword in the game? It's just fucking dumb.

This camp is the end game camp, at the end of the game you and Lord Capon set up camp here right at the end of the game, its like a reward for finishing the game

Come to think of it, the Cumans have some armor that could be a decent substitute for viking armor. I think the monks are about to have a very bad time indeed.
Would be nice if they added the actual Norse faction. Im Scandinavian descent so Nordic culture/armor and weapons are very interesting to me
It’s basically setup correctly I reckon on the console versions and in the next PC update it will then have a very hard lock on it as they forgot to add on release. You shouldn’t be able to get that OP armour early on.

I am going to release a video on this as well, I mention in it that the chest isn't locked at the start of the game but it is near the end of the game. since for me the first time I found it was at the end of the game and it had a very hard lock but then on my second playthrough I went there straight away after the prologue and it wasn't locked at all.

It's going to be patched out in the next update. That chest is actually a mistake by the developer, so grab it now before the 1.30 patch is released.
I don't recommend using the armor or weapons until late game or you will cake walk over everything. I found this right off the bat when I first got to Neuhof by accident and used it past the first big battle and several side quests and everything was too easy that I got bored. I ended up going back to older saves before I found the armor. Yes I had to replay hours but now combat was more exciting. I recommend only upgrading armor and weapons off the enemies you defeat thus keeping in line with the progression of the leveling in the game.

Found it by accident my first playthrough. Was locking for the Captain to tell him something and followed that road and found the camp.
I got my first plate armor basically near the beginning when i went back to skalitz for the dove cote treasure, but there were bandits and cumans fight and i just waited and killed the weakest one

This camp site has to deal with quite literally the last couple seconds of the game's main quest. It belongs to Hans Capon and his squad that depart for.. well, I can't say it. I don't want to spoil anything. But it's his campsite. It's off to the very edge of the map to deter some from finding it by accident, but obviously that won't stop everything from stumbling across it.. especially since it's on a main road.
So sad when I realized this was the patched chest
PSA: They did remove the chest but, once you complete the main story the chest is there. It was a mistake by the devs.
Why couldn't they leave it as a sort of reward for exploring? Because most players aren't gonna go up there until the endgame

On tournaments of rataje you can win really good armor, the st george sword and st michael sword too. I recomend it

I got my good free armour after revisiting Skalitz and some guard killed the bandits that were there. Those bandits had some of the best armour, only thing i really upgraded was the helmet and "underarmour"? The armour under the armour basicly.

Preston Farley the treasures are still in the game yes, but the contents don’t contain the warhorse gear with preordering. Trust me. I didn’t preorder but I did the treasure hunts and everything but the warhorse studio stuff was in them.

If you want the St George sword just do the bath house side mission for capon and when hes in the bath just take his sword not get caught with it and it will not appear stolen anymore

Bumped into this chest by accident while doing murder in neuhof quests.
Easiest way to get plate armour is so somple go behind Sir Hanish Castle where the competitor for the tornamant always sleep. Wait till they all fall asleep at night then make them unconscious and take the armour. There easy that's how I get mine. Be mindful of the guards patrolling ard at some point the guard will leave

I just started playing a few weeks ago and I noticed if you return to skalitz for quests such as Kunesh’s loot, there will be fully armored bandits fighting fully armored guards and you can loot them all after they’re done fighting.

SORRY TO TELL YOU THAT FOLLOWING THE MOST RECENT UPDATE/PATCH (at least on the PC - not sure about console updates?) - THIS CHEST IS NO LONGER IN THE GAME - The camp is still there but the chest is gone!
You can however still get the St Georges Sword, from Sir Hans when you do the 'Bath house' quest - (it is in the chest with all his clothing, which is just near him when he is in the bath tub).

Knock out a guard at night -> loot guard -> stab guard in face with sword. =/= A final unnecessary step would be to go quest or do something for an in game week to get red hands removed.
I really want them to make it where when your not in combat aka weapon is sheathed the visor is up both in first and third person when you are talking to NPCs

This chest was a left over from the end of game that devs forgot to despawn. This has been fixed and camp does not appear till end.
