    I've been using this module for over a year and it's really great. Especially for blind spots. And the interface is very beautiful, more so than the European competitor... I have both systems like you and I use both... The Knob is great in terms of button, but for visual display Teslogic is the best.

    It's interesting, the cost seems to be high due to the software development/updates they push OTA. However at the end of the day it's just a harness with bluetooth dongle, it's hard for me to see how the price can be justified. The battery info seems like nice to have, but I'd look at it once in a blue moon, not really worth in my opinion. Great video, installation guide, and feature walkthrough. On the performance dashboard 22:02 I notice on the left side some sort of measurement of the G forces perceived by the car. Is that actually coming from the car or from the phone's accelerometer? I have Tesla Insurance and the Safety Score is impacted by hard braking (>0.3g) and aggressive turning (>0.4g). I think that gauge may be useful for keeping an eye on those stats. Can that be shown on the main dashboard next to the speedometer and gear selection? Maybe they can add a feature to let you customize the gauge to show yellow when getting close to some set ranges for each direction and red if going over the set limits.

    Pretty clever of Teslogic to only produce the hardware required to access the Canbus (via the OBD-II port) and then do the rest via software, leveraging the hardware produced by the phone manufacturer. That way there’s no need to maintain an OS. Just try and keep up with Tesla’s updates. It is only limited by what is available on the canbus, which I expect means no camera feeds or navigation as they are managed by the display computer. Continuous blindspot monitoring is obviously available on the canbus, it just hasn’t been displayed by Tesla, which is disappointing.
    I have an aftermarket projector hud in my model 3 that projects onto a clear curved plastic screen. That avoids the “double vision” you experienced, which is caused by the inner and outer surfaces of the windshield reflecting the image. And it works in the daytime. A phone’s OLED screen just isn’t bright enough to do the job. The hud is bright enough but is limited to the fixed things it displays. The ultimate would be an Android based projector hud you load the Teslogic App on to.
    Oh, by the way the blue OBD-II port is in the same place in RHD cars (you said it was on the other side). This is confirmed in the Teslogic operators manual. Makes sense, rather than Tesla having to re-engineer the wiring.

    First of all, all that info is of little interest when driving and you spend way too much time showing and explaining all that info.
    I want what is shown in a Model S screen, that's my main interest.
    I need you to clarify the map display, is it the Tesla map or Google map display. When the map is displayed, where is the speed display.
    In short, you focused on showing info and just a short look on map configuration.
    The HUD is pretty damn useless and should be ignored!!!
    #1 QUESTION FOR ME:
    So if FSD is being used and displayed full screen on the big screen, what map data is available on the small screen, whose map is shown and what nav info is available?
    Ideally, that would be Tesla's map display.

    • @ShivaSapkota
      @ShivaSapkota  Před 2 měsíci

      I do appreciate you watching and commenting but please keep in mind that this channel is for all Tesla owners and everyone has a different perspective of what is useful and what is not. So, I try my best to show everything. I may miss certain things in my review as I have so much to cover. The map is just a API of the google map, it doesn't do turn by turn navigation, just shows your car in the map view so you can see the car movement. Yes, you can still see the speed and autopilot etc in the mapview. No, it is not getting any data from the Tesla maps, and doesn't support navigation. Hope this answers your questions.
