Teslasy pushed an update for this display with nag and blind spot indication. Now just needs model y model and it'll be pretty good.

@@joefalkner2368 Check out my last integrated screen video, that has the blind spot monitoring. It just shows red flashing sign if you blink while you have a car in the blind spot. It just replicates what tesla shows red on the side repeater camera. Thanks!
Do you know if the TesStudio unit and the Teslasy unit the same, or if they could support the other's firmware updates? It would be nice to pick up the TesStudio one (as it's located in the US) and be able to push firmware updates between either company.

Hey Shiva, just wanted to let you know that I used your code to purchase and that I successfully installed it using your instructions. Thank you! This is really the best display I've used, the fonts, the fit, the interface. I did the front camera also. The latest version shows US speed signs, and also shows blind spot (the red on left and right) notifications as well. My car is on Tesla software 2024.15.15 (FSD 12.4.3), no issues.
I’m eagerly awaiting your review of the version with the vent on the bottom (and how good the airflow is at low fan speeds). Your videos are the best! Also, could you comment on if the dash mounted version might scuff the white dash piece over time?

It has OTA via via wifi. Newest fw gives you blind spot alerts. They say that within a month , new software update will come out, with the option of changing model between y/3

They just pushed a new update that gives constant blind spot monitoring when a vehicle is in the blind spot. This unit keeps getting better with every update!
I've always wanted a cluster display for my Model 3 and what's put me off before was the inconsistency of the UIs compared to that of the Teslas along with any delay. This might be the one that I finally pull the trigger on. Thanks for the video.

Because the Model 3 and Y have a tablet screen that is suspended off the dashboard, this display looks stylistically consistent. The UI also closely matches the Tesla screen.
I also have a yoke -> I think this is a great combo.

Would it be possible to relay feedback to TesStudio to consider adding a feature for USS-equipped Teslas? The Hansshow F68 has a feature that turns on the front camera when the front USS detects objects within close range, which is super helpful. (I just don't like anything else from Hansshow, in terms of their UI, support response or other). It would be nice if This T8 and T6 would be able to support this feature and not have to manually toggle the front camera.
Yeah I actually liked that feature. Mine 2018 M3 has USS. These companies are reluctant to change coding for older Tesla but I will pass along the feedback. Thank you.

I purchased the 5.16 display like the one you show on minute 28:20 is great I love it, but this new one I like it a lot, the only problem I see in all of these type of displays mounted on the steering column is that you don't see the lower part of the screen when driving, the air bag cover blocks the view, it will be great if this display had some type of extender like 3 or 4 well integrated molded plastic posts that could look as OEM as possible so the screen could be lifted half and inch and air from the AC would flow under the screen, this revision will eliminate 2 issues, as soon as you show one like that I will buy it immediately Thanks

I assume it’s the same as the Teslasy T8 Pro. Just installed mine. Also had one OTA update. I left a comment on their Install Video. Mostly good, but I noticed a few things:
1. Android Auto aspect ratio is incorrect. Image is slightly fat. Example: A perfect circle looks like a horizontal egg. CarPlay is fine.
2. “Waiting” is misspelled in Wi-Fi settings.
3. The camera that was included on mine was limited to 1080p and 25fps. Image is distorted or disabled when I try any other setting.

I haven't read the comments but may I suggest to instead pass the camera wire through either of the 2 existing rubber teats/nipples in the grommet rather than passing around (could cause big problems!) or slitting the rubber. I do this for all my installs & believe the nipples may have been designed for such a purpose as it does not compromise the 'firewall' moisture/dust barrier.
Simply poke a sharp narrow tip screwdriver into the nipple from the cabin side to create an opening at the end of the nipple, just check not to force the sharp point into the harness on the other side of the 'firewall'. I then push the hook end of a modified crochet needle through the nipple and use the hook to pull the cable through.
Not quite as easy as it sounds, in fact I use an inert lubricant to help with this (like KY :). Just take your time and the job will be pro level & not a dodgy hack job. 👍

Great review, I just order this unit myself to replace the T6. Some of the non-OEM stuff on the T6 such as the non-day/night following during the parked screen bugged me, and looks like they got rid of that on this screen. I have heard that they have added the side collision notification with updates, not sure if it'll be rolled out soon though. I hope they do add the US speed limit thing because it helps a lot. Also, for the future, i hope you can try the Google Map/Waze day/night mode in both AA and Carplay to see if they actually follow the car as I've noticed with some of the past screens, they don't do that. Thanks for the hard work.

@@ShivaSapkota not sure if your screen has the issue but I received mine yesterday and installed it, it seems to be grayer in the day mode than main screen especially if you have brightness on auto but on a cloudy day. Not sure if suggestion can be sent for them to make the color closer to OEM. It might just be me but i want the screen to be as non-aftermarket looking as possible.

What's the difference between this and the F68 display from Hannshow besides the fact that it's wider? The graphics look identical.

good afternoon thank you for all your great responses. As I was about to order the version two I did find out that they are having a lot of trouble due to the Tesla update where a lot of the features are not working on the device at this time even with the over the air updates, they have not fixed this yet. Please advise.
I also have a question. I have one of the older the minis that you did really nice unit same problem since they came up with the update battery says zero percentage and it has a reading for distance for the mileage at 29,000 before it’ll be a charge , any thoughts on that as well that does not do over the air I would think they would have to give you some kind of a patch from Hanshow
@@kevincummins5675 I haven't heard anything from Hansshow on the mini, they just said to reach out to them and will help customers resolve the issue. I believe the mini had a usb input? If so, they should be able to patch it with software download.
The F88 clusters did get affected but two things worked for me:
1. First going through the OTA
2. Pressing and holding the right scroll wheel for a few seconds. This fixed the battery and odometer issue.

Can the screen show 3 items simultaneously like my Hansshow 10.25 3G display? (Car icon/speed; map; small carplay selection). Edit: Oops, just noticed at 45:30 the screen appears to have 3 main sections on display, which is what I like.

Hi. I bought this 8.8-Inch display. After installation, I updated it via OTA. After the update, the car battery capacity percentage on the T12Pro screen does not match the car's own battery capacity percentage. I have reset the car and turned off the car, but the problem was not solved. Everything else works as it should. Any solutions?
Is there possibly to change the screen color warm? It is visible that the original Tesla screen is warmer than the cluster display one.

Awesome videos man! I have a quick question re. MYP 2024. If we wanted to install the SEXY knob AND the front instrument cluster AND the rear entertainment screen, is that possible? because we only two OBD ports correct? (one under the rear vents and one near the passenger side panel). Any way around this? TIA and love your content.
I have like 6 things connected to each ports haha :) You just daisy chain all of them together. The rear cover may not close though, but otherwise you can have many plugs connected. Thank you.

Since you review and know so many front instrument clusters, any recomendations for which you might prefer? I like ones with more screen size and more info than less. I actually liked the one with blind spot warning, but I don't know enough in general to decide, so any recommendation/s would greatly help. TIA

I am a 2022 model Y performance owner and I have a couple questions for you.
First, let me tell you I don’t know anybody that has as much detail in their videos as you do thank you! I have a question about maps with this monitor. Are you able to see as an example Waze in the full screen, not a partial screen? Also, how do you rank this screen ? I do have a yoke steering wheel, so I’m sure the visibility would be great out there. It’s tough to know if they’ve updated where you have Blindspot just the notification without even hitting your blinker like they doing the test logic. thanks for your response in advance
Thank you so much for your kind words. This screen has been the most stable and love the UI. I am going to be reviewing the same screen with built-in air vents soon. I don't see a setting to remove the split screen view. I bugged them about that but still haven't seen update. They don't support the continues blind spot monitoring like TesLogic. They are currently looking into that specific code to populate (I believe Teslogic is reading the grey car icon next to the Tesla from the OBD code).

Shiva, my F68 from Hansshow has NEVER supplied CarPlay Bluetooth signal after 5 months of horrible customer service. Will the camera wiring of my F68 work with this unit as well?
Sorry to hear that. As you can tell, I don't really review Hansshow's products anymore due to customer service concerns from my viewers. I hope they can prove they will do better in the future. They said it should work with F68 camera as these are the same cameras for F68, T6, F9, F9C etc, but I did use the camera that came with the kit. Thank you.
I have the F68 and it occasionally has BT issues. Maybe 1 out of 20 drives. It has never had Waze audio work over Tesla speakers, but Apple Music does. If this unit is plug and play and gets blind spot alert I may switch it out.
I got mine and it’s stuck in KM/H. Does anyone know how to change it?
Can you ask them to make a Y splitter for the front cam, I want to be able to put a camera facing the back seat and keep an eye on my kids

How's the quality of the front camera at night time?
It is decent, has some glares but comparable to the Tesla camera feed. It is definitely usable to see road debris. Thanks.

The V1 with bottom air vent is installed on the Dashboard, not at the Steering wheel. The Display is the same.

I just spoke to the installer whose number is listed as the "contact us" on the link you gave us. I wanted to check on the status of my order because I haven't heard anything from the company since placing the order. He has been inundated with calls of people who ordered and haven't had any communication from the company. He says he isn't associated with them but does installs for people who live in the Southern California area. He doesn't know why they listed his number as the contact person. It appears that it might be a good idea to contact your CC company to cancel the order and order from Hansshow. It sounds like they're not a reputable company to deal with. Could you look into this SHIVA?
Sorry this happened to you. Tes Studio is a fairly new company to me and the person that has been in touch with me has been very responsive. So, I was not aware of any issues. I just got a hold of the owner and he told me his team will respond to everyone asap. So, please let me know if you don't hear back from them in the next few days.
@@ShivaSapkota I did not receive an update on the status of my order. I called by CC company to cancel. When I spoke to the person listed on their "About Us" -> customer service number, he actually told me that I should cancel the order. I think this company may be using you to scam people.

Some of these instrument cluster's are cool, but why can't any of these companies, come out with a "heads up disply" the project some info onto the wind shield.
I think the issue is getting the display to focus on the whindsheid. There is a company that is making one in the future but they are putting a small glass piece to project it rather than the windsheild.

Hello, this is the latest one. The 9.2" is great and has more features but this one is minimalistic and supports wired carplay. I would pick this one if you are looking for a smaller unit with decent UI and features. Thanks!

Does your dash have a hex screwn on the side panel? I ask because my dash isn't easily removing and it appears to be due to a hex screw. Its a 2024 model Y.
Mine doesn't but yes some Model Ys have a hex on the side.

On the product website, there are version 1 with vent and version 2 without airvent. Any idea about the difference in appearance? Also does it show your car is charging when you are plugged in? I often did not realize the car stopped charging while watching netflix.
I will be reviewing the Version 1 with vent soon. That one has dedicated airvents and mount on the dash panel. Otherwise, the same display. I am currently out but I will check the charge indicator when I get home and let you know. Thanks!

Unfortunately not with this display. This has Linux OS and Android auto doesn't support CZcams. There are other displays with Android OS and they support downloading CZcams app. Thanks.

@@Furkanf22 which I would recommend? If you need a larger display with less airflow blockage and more features, F9 is the way to go. If you want minimalist display, this is a winner.

The white screen of the this new display does not match with the Tesla 15 inch screen it looks more of white blue hue, why these manufacture of aftermarket screens work matching Tesla screens colour for daytime. The dark mode or night mode looks OK!

When I mounted the Hansshow 10.25" 3G unit over a year ago, I installed a tint film plus an anti-glare film to make it match the hue and brightness of the Tesla screen (which of course also has an anti-glare film). Works great.
Only if I have 20 Tesla's to fit all this instrument cluster displays😂

Unfortunately all these add on screens will void the Tesla manufacturing warranty.
Correction: The qualifier is that the warranty repair in question must not be directly affected by the mod you installed. e.g. if you installed this hud mod and something goes wrong with your brakes Tesla cannot deny you warranty coverage of the brakes because the screen has nothing to do with that part.

@ShivaSapkota please stop promoting TMA Plus products, they shipped fake items to me and will not resolve the issue... I will never do business with them again...
What did they ship fake to you? I have had good customer service from them. They replaced the steering wheel top-piece cover when one of the feet broke. No issues.
